1st Mar 2024 (8 weeks ago)We've visited a property to let with John D Wood. We liked the property, and sent an offer. Offer accepted. So we paid the holding deposit. We went through the referencing, very long and time consuming. It took 15 days to have a feedback. And the feedback was : we can't reference you because your tax returns were from France, not from the UK. The letting agent offered us to pay all the rents (18 months) upfront, to skip the reference. We obviously refused. And we started panicking, because our move out date from our current property was approaching... We quickly visited other properties. We found a house to let through another letting agency. The referencing took literally 2 days, and we had no issues (they accepted tax returns from France). Luckily, we have been able to find house to let in time. John D Wood came back to us, in the meanwhile, saying that the landlord had finally accepted to rent us his property, even if our tax returns were from France. But it was too late. We had already found another house. But John D Wood is refusing to reimburse our holding deposit, because they say that it's our decision not to let this house and that our offer was accepted by the landlord. So we now have to enter into a legal fight. I would highly recommend NOT to work with John D Wood.
28th Oct 2023 (5 mo. ago)Horrendous experience. I called and looked to arrange a viewing of a newly listed rental property. I was told a colleague would return my call, this never happened and after 24hrs I called back to be told it’s off market and an offer had been made. I wouldn’t recommend, there’s plenty of other suitable estate agents in London.

2nd Apr 2024 (24 days ago)We had the pleasure working with Conor at Chestertons Fulham during our recent home purchase and we were pleased with the service provided. Conor demonstrated a good understanding of our preferenes and was responsive to our inquiries, which made the process efficient. While there were a few hiccups along the way dealing with sellers who were not easy, Conor handled them professionally and ensured our needs were met to the extent possible. Overall we are grateful for Conor's assistance and would happily recommend him to others in search of a reliable real estate agent.

19th Mar 2024 (5 weeks ago)Nick Warren at Knight Frank Fulham wasn't very helpful. He changed our appointments multiple times with super short notice, which created inconvenient situations on our side as a buyer. Apparently client is not the top priority of Knight Frank and I see it as very unprofessional. I will never deal with KF again and avoid them if you can.

We had constant communication and high touch assistance in guiding a sitting tenant out of our property whilst at the same time prepping and listing the apartment for sale. I highly recommend them and can’t thank them enough for their time and energy in a very tricky situation.

2nd Mar 2024 (8 weeks ago)I was very surprised by how friendly and helpful the team at Martin & Co was. I heard some of horror stories from friends about agents doing everything in their power to make tenants' lives miserable... I consider myself lucky to have found this agency. A few positive examples: - they had my washing machine replaced in no time and without complaining when it broke down - they were always very responsive whenever I had an issue - very respectful of my own time and schedule when they were showing the flat - and they returned the FULL deposit very quickly and without putting up a fight. The last point to me would be the selling point. Thank you!

3rd Mar 2024 (8 weeks ago)Im shocked at the level of lack professionalism disreguard of potential tennents aswell of lack of care. I arranged a viewing for saturday. Its a good job i called up to confirm and check the address. Turns out my viewing had been cancelled as property was gone. No one called me to update me. I would of been standing out side waiting in the rain and no one would of been coming. To add insult to the matter, when asked why i wasnt informed i was told there was 40-50 people viewing, they didnt have time to call so many people. The lack of care and whatever attidtude is some what concerning. So basicaly we dont care about letting you know you been cancelled. Leads me to wounder if they are the same with tennants. If something needs replacing or fixing will they even respond?

He has been superb in the sale of our house and went above and beyond to ensure that our sale went ahead. From the beginning to the end he has had a positive outlook. On our viewings he was bright and bubbly and ensured that the viewers were made aware of the benefits of our property,. When we eventually agreed a sale we had a long process due to the fact that the buyers held up matters, however Rhys would always be pressing to try and speed up the process and always kept us up to date and informed. At one stage our buyer went abroad, Rhys was on calls to our buyer at 1030 at night trying to deal with their queries in an attempt to push our sale through. We can’t thank Rhys enough for what he did for us. He is a real credit to his trade and we would throughly recommend using him to friends and family. Again thank you Rhys Henry

Very helpful and friendly, and suggested properties we hadn’t seen online that were a great fit, because he had listened to what we liked and had a great sense of what we wanted. Thank you Alex!
