Alex persistently called and messaged me in an effort to show me properties I was interested in. He never gave up on me. Appreciate the hustle !
Update: Since the below wasn’t enough, Foxtons have upped their game to be truly the worst of the worst. Over three months before our tenancy is set to end, Foxtons agents without prior notice or consent entered our home and conducted viewings! When confronted with the facts, no apology was made for their actions and James Hankin (the new office manager) even had the gall to address us in a condescending and argumentative manner. Furthermore, he cited his ‘right’ to enter our home, which completely goes against the law, let alone the contract that Foxtons themselves drew up. Future tenants, I cannot stress how much you should avoid this agency.
While you expect London lettings agencies to be brutal, Foxtons Fulham cranks it up a notch. Tenants beware. We placed a conditional offer on a property that was accepted based on conditions. We then signed the let contract based on our offer's acceptance by the landlord. When the landlord failed to deliver on the offer conditions we went back to Foxtons. They shrugged their shoulders, said too bad and that the landlord doesn't need to keep their end of the deal. Alex Cima and Rupert Simmonds over-promise, under deliver and will blatantly lie to seal the deal in favour of the landlord.
Robert Sanderson with the help of Rosalind Bainbridge, Phillippa Dalby-Welsh & Emma Stead achieved an outstanding result for me with the sale of a Fulham home. I bought the property through another agency as a development and the Fulham team were fantastic in advising me, not only whilst I was developing the house but then also once it was complete. I finished the project in a much more uncertain time than when I purchased it in. They were firm in telling me that I needed to dress the house to get the best result which I was hesitant to do given the additional cost, they were even able to put me in touch with their own interior services team. I successfully agreed a sale at the over the guide price within a few weeks, having been negotiating with more than one buyer. Robert in particular, who was dealing with the buyer acted with extreme professionalism and with a high degree of skill. Once a sale was agreed it proceeded to exchange of contracts in a little over 10 days. I cannot recommend the Savills Fulham team enough, they exceeded my expectations on every level and the individuals I dealt with are a credit to the Savills brand. Their knowledge and advise was invaluable, I followed them every step of the way and I am extremely pleased that I did.
Working with Victoria Ball from Savills on our first home purchase was an absolute pleasure. She was by far the most responsible and diligent person involved in the home buying process, and instilled a lot of confidence that things would move smoothly. She was incredibly responsive, always quick to return calls, and was my go-to person anytime we seemed to hit a snag. I highly recommend working with Victoria, and intend to do so myself on any future transactions.
I would highly recommend Strutt & Parker Lettings team in Fulham. I was looking to rent out my property in Parsons Green and Meena Patel was very helpful and knowledgeable throughout the process. She found tenants for my flat within several days and secured a good rent for me.
Here is what happened when my wife and I rented a two bedroom flat in Fulham with Strutt & Parker last May.
The moment we walked into the property we realised that it was not professionally cleaned as we had been told and we also found several things left by the previous tenants which we had to carry out ourselves. We examined the property from top to bottom and by the time we got to the kitchen we discovered that under the kitchen units there were hundreds of mice droppings, sign of a clear ongoing mice infestation.
We left the property in shock and my wife, who was in her 32nd week of pregnancy was so distressed that she eventually had to see a doctor. I explained the situation to Strutt & Parker but they underestimated the gravity of the situation and told me to contact the landlady myself.
The landlady scheduled a pest control inspection, I met the expert at the property who confirmed the gravity of the infestation and told me that they would try to fix the problem but they could not guarantee that it would not happen again since the property was surrounded by restaurants.
I gave Strutt & Parker a copy of the inspection report and I told them that the property was a serious health threat to my wife's pregnancy and the newborn and that we would ask to terminate the tenancy. I also informed the landlady who accepted to terminate the tenancy but did not apoligise to us and did not want to discuss the matter any further. The termination was conditional to the full deposit being returned to us and one full month rent being paid to the landlady.
We were glad it was over at last, even though my wife and I were the only ones who got damaged, both financially and emotionally.
I would not recommend them, they are completely unethical and insensitive.
