31st May 2025 (1 year ago)We used “Which” to find out the best performing local agents, of these we approached Greenwoods first as they have an office within walking distance. Staff were friendly, helpful and efficient from the start, and Branch Manager, Phil Marsh, took us through every step of the process. From then on, Phil kept us informed and responded to all of our queries. He consistently provided all the assistance we needed to obtain a sale. We would recommend the Wells Road branch without hesitation.

13th Jan 2025 (1 year ago)Bad experience here. I have been waiting for the return of deposit since 08/09/2024 (check-out date), at time of writing the date is 04/12/2024. Despite asking for updates and calling, I have not received any response from this agency for 2+ weeks. IMO, there are many other options in Bristol worth trying before Chase Buchanan Downend.

This despite many difficulties thrown at them by my estranged wife, who put many obstacles in their way. I am so grateful for the hard work, professionalism and dedication in helping me to reach a positive solution .
27th Feb 2026 (24 weeks ago)Excellent service- 17th Jul 2026 (27 days ago)Agent did not take any notes and did not revisit before doing the write up for the advertisement he just used large chunks of the previous agent’s brochure. He even included a pond with a bridge over it which we had filled in when we took the house off the market several months before. The photos were not very good and the photographer was uninterested in bringing out the best in the house. There was a mistake in the floor plan listing 4 bedrooms when there are three. Feedback was slow and communication very poor. I even had a prospective purchaser stop me outside the house to say he had to wait to get an appointment to view but had finally got an appointment for the following week. I knew nothing of that appointment as had not been contacted at all. I could go on but that’s probably enough for you to get the picture. We have now taken the property off the market for the foreseeable future

Different team members working on my sale who appeared to have different agendas and work against each other. Indifference to me as the vendor. Will not use again, termination of contract without house sale due to terrible service

We had a long stressful process due to our buyer and even though Connells weren't acting on behalf of us she always went above and beyond to help us and nothing was ever too much trouble.

They consistently went above and beyond to support me, answer any questions, and make the whole process as positive and stress-free as possible. They provide a genuinely personal service, take great care with their clients, and are always friendly, patient, and approachable. As a first time buyer and then first time seller I always felt I could trust Ben’s advice and guidance throughout. I cannot recommend them highly enough.

As such they provide a professional and personal service and it is a pleasure to deal with the same people throughout the process.- 25th Jul 2026 (19 days ago)Richard at the Long Ashton branch was incredibly friendly yet professional throughout the buying and selling process. He was willing and flexible in facilitating us to see the properly a few times for a second opinion and to measure up, as well as giving us great local knowledge that was very much appreciated. Rich was fantastic at keeping us informed, and ‘on the ball’ with chasing the solicitors, especially when it all got down to the wire. We were so impressed that we decided to sell through Andrews as well as buy, and his colleagues at the Southville branch were equally as professional and communicative in tying everything together. Would highly recommend! However, whilst Andrews were professional and supportive, we didn't have a great experince with Taylor Rose, who were recommended by Andrews, and would choose a local conveyancer in future.
