9th Oct 2026 (24 days ago)Wow, what a journey! Adam stuck with us through thick and thin as we sold two properties and used the money to buy another one in a completely different part of the country. It was a pretty difficult and complicated process, but Adam helped us through it all in such a lovely way. He always made us feel comfortable, and by the end of it, honestly, he felt more like a friend than our estate agent. We’re so grateful for everything he’s done for us and couldn’t recommend him & his team highly enough.
7th Sep 2025 (1 year ago)They have been generally good to deal with and have been efficient. Where there have been minor errors and changes to sort out, these have been dealt with promptly. I have had the complication of being in Hertfordshire selling my sister's property in Brighton. This has been handled well so far .

Ollie valued our home and gave great insight into the current market and made us feel confident Rowland Gorringe was the right estate agents for us. Harry worked really hard to get good viewings, have really useful feedback and was responsive when we had questions. We couldn't have been happier with the service they provided as well as the wider team, including Megan and Rupert. Thanks again and I would highly recommend this estate agents for both selling and buying

30th May 2025 (1 year ago)Property in Hastings was an estate sale, rendered challenging by the fact that I live five hours’ drive away. However, Stuart and Emma were exceptionally helpful and nothing was a problem - exactly the kind of “can do” attitude that is becoming increasingly rare these days. Thanks are thus due to the pair for dealing with what has not been a straightforward sale.

15th Sep 2026 (7 weeks ago)I’m currently mid sale with Fox and Sons, Lewes Road, having had zero viewing with a previous agent. The change was seamless and viewings were instant, initially led by Aaron who is amazing. An unexpected, sizeable hiccup happened last week Friday - and my buyer dropped out. Shayla was fantastic. She communicated immediately, took initiative and contacted previously interested parties. My property was ‘re-sold’ within 3 calendar days: by midday Monday. What could have been a significant loss, both in terms of time, energy and financially, has turned into a success. I cannot fault Shayla for her communication and support; I would recommend (and have!) her and the agents to anyone who asks. Thank you especially to Shayla and Aaron!

20th Jul 2026 (15 weeks ago)Like many others, all they want is your signature on the agreement, they put it on rightmove etc and that's it. No one does any work anymore. Not even a call from them after going "live". Not recommended.

The broken gutter was causing an annoying noise on my conservatory when raining &, being a homeworker, it was very distracting. Martin of Scott’s acted quickly. He arranged a contractor to erect scaffolding & repair the gutter in super quick time. Many thanks Martin! Great response. Eileen

14th Oct 2026 (19 days ago)Cubitt & West recently sold my late father's, and our lifelong family, home, in Kingston, near Lewes. I can not praise them highly enough for their proactivity, advice, enduring patience as my siblings have little or no experience of selling property, their professionalism and friendliness. Max, Sophie and Fred were all so lovely and approachable. In particular we struck up a very amusing banter with Fred Thorne over our shared love of animals, especially about our chubby cat. Fred was particularly proactive in selling our house and I just want to thank him especially for helping to make the heartbreaking decision to have to sell our family home so much more easy and bearable. Well done to all at the Lewes Branch but special thanks go to Fred for supporting us and providing the humour in such a stressful situation.
23rd Sep 2026 (6 weeks ago)Jack Taggart owes me £20,000 for the deposit I gave him for the property we were buying but the sale fell through. He made countless promises to return the money. But no single penny was returned! I went through all legal ways to communicate with him but he ignored all of it. It seems this is a common theme as he been exposed on the Argus.

21st Oct 2026 (12 days ago)I was looking to buy my first home after using some of the estate agents in the Brighton and Hove area and not having any luck with the properties, they recommend us (Either being over our budget or not what we specified)<br><br>I was recommend Tailor James by a friend.<br><br>When we met Jimmy the director of Tailor James, for the first time. He was friendly and understanding about what I wanted in my first home.<br><br>He answered all my questions on our initial meeting and throughout the process.<br><br>As I was a first time buyer, I was not sure on the processes of getting a mortgage advisor, solicitors and surveyors.<br><br>Tailor James recommended us a mortgage advisor, solicitors and Surveyors, and guided us again throughout these processes.<br><br>If you want personal and bespoke service when buying your home. I could not recommend Jimmy and Tailor James more.<br><br>His attentive nature and passion, made buying my first home less stressful.

They really knew their current properties and, importantly, understood what their potential buyers were looking for. This meant they were able to move incredibly quickly, helping us secure our new home while also finding a buyer for our property within a very short timeframe. The whole purchase and sale process, from start to finish, took around three months, which was fantastic. We really appreciated how knowledgeable, responsive and helpful they were throughout. We’d definitely recommend them to anyone looking to buy or sell a property in Hove and Brighton.
