I have received so much support and advice from Jatin in handling my property sale. Given I don’t live in London it has been a weight off my shoulders knowing I had a reliable and trustworthy agent handling things for me. I can’t recommend Martyn Gerrard in Finchley enough. The service and speed to market the property was fast and efficient. within days everything was managed ,certificates. Inspections etc. I had to do virtually nothing. Within 2 weeks contracts with a suitable tenant was ready. Thanks to the agent who handled everything so professionally. Elin Shepherd.

1st Sep 2026 (18 days ago)I had such a seamless referencing and handover experience with Docklands Estates. Moving house is usually stressful however this time the least stressful part was dealing with the Estate agents. They went out of their way to make it as hassle free as possible for me and judging by the other reviews, this seems to be the ethos. It’s very refreshing . I moved a month ago and that level of service has continued into my tenancy. They deliver a very bespoke style service where it’s not just a sale and you’re forgotten about. I would like to give a special credit to Laila who has been managing my property. She has gone above and beyond to ensure everything is perfect and honestly I can’t thank her enough. Things aren’t always perfect in a move, but Docklands have always been there and at hand ready to help and resolve if I’ve ever had any potential issues on my side, rather than me stress out or feel alone handling it. Other estate agents could definitely take a leaf out of their book. Everything is also handled with the upmost professionalism which I like, but with a friendly tone. Thank you Docklands, and Laila for your hard work and doing what you do ??

Having dealt with over half a dozen agents across different agencies, Oliver stood out as far and away the most professional, transparent, and proactive. While our personal circumstances changed and we had to pause our search, Oliver represented the agency brilliantly and will be the first person we contact when we resume. He represents the firm at the highest standard, and we would gladly work with him again.
2nd Sep 2026 (17 days ago)Unprofessional, discriminatory and inconsistent practices at the Streatham branch.<br><br>I have had an extremely poor experience with this agency, stretching back over a period of 4 years. Years ago, they showed me a property but rejected me purely because I was receiving some benefits at the time, completely ignoring the fact that both my partner and I had excellent salaries and stable employment.<br><br>Fast forward to recently: we applied for a property managed by the Streatham branch priced at £2,300 per month. Our combined household income easily exceeds the standard UK affordability threshold (£69,000/year, which is 2.5x the rent). Despite our strong financial position, the staff rudely moved the goalposts and insisted we needed a guarantor.<br><br>When I offered two valid guarantors, they claimed that one single guarantor had to earn over £82,000 a year to qualify.For comparison, I have viewed properties worth £2,500/month elsewhere that only require a combined household income of £72,000. It feels like they are intentionally fabricating impossible criteria and wasting people's time.<br><br>I strongly believe we were targeted and treated unfairly because we are foreign nationals. Avoid this branch—they are rude, unprofessional, and apply double standards depending on who you are.<br><br>Many people in the community have warned me about them, and now I see why. Absolute joke of a company.

30th Aug 2026 (20 days ago)Worst Experience with Elliott Lettings - Please Read Before Renting<br>My close friend took house through Elliott Lettings. After they moved out, 2 months later the landlord did a full renovation of the house and put the entire bill of £3000 on them.<br>The most shocking part - NO ONE took responsibility. The Elliott agent who came for checkout told us on the spot "everything is fine". They had taken NO check-in photos, but at checkout they took hundreds of photos just to create a bill.<br>When we asked, one person said "talk to Reposit team", Reposit team said "landlord sent the bill", and the landlord never contacted us directly. Elliott agents did not let us talk to the landlord, did not listen to us, and just kept saying "go and raise a dispute".<br>We were lucky we had some of our own proofs and we disputed it through the deposit scheme. Because they had ZERO check-in proof and only checkout photos, the adjudicator rejected most of their claim and we only had to pay around £300 instead of £3000. They didn’t guide them for anything.<br>When they newly moved in, they gave them NO guidance at all for Electricity and Gas. They didn't know which supplier was at the property, where to sign in, how to set up the account, how to top up / recharge. They had to find everything and do it ourselves.<br><br>When they moved out, closed their own connection properly. Then they started spamming us with messages - "how to do recharge, how to connect gas/power". They didn't even know how their own property's electricity/gas connection works. previous tenants were using it free of cost, they had no records.<br>we would have lost £3000 for a renovation that was not our fault. No agent from Elliott took any responsibility.<br>My advice to all tenants: ALWAYS take your own check-in/check-out photos and videos, and always raise a dispute if you feel the bill is unfair. Don't trust verbal "all ok".<br><br>Very unprofessional and disappointing service.
