30th Oct 2026 (7 days ago)I thought through this very carefully before making this post, as I don't tend to provide an extreme negative comment without a good, justifiable reason. However, I felt that I can no longer bite my tongue, and I have to express how bad this estate agent is.
It is important that I pinpoint the specific service they provide. For the letting and sales teams, I do think they are professional. They have been proactive in engaging with me and offered a professional service. However, when it comes to property management, I could not advise enough to NOT EVER use this agency. The property management team is one of the worst I've experienced as a landlord for many years. The team is extremely unprofessional and unresponsive, providing empty promises after empty promises. They have poorly managed my property and the tenant. The property manager assigned to me was unethical. The whole team does not protect the landlord's interests or act in the best interests of the landlord. They can't even provide basic communication when necessary. They recognised the tenant may not be the best choice of tenant. However, the property manager covered the damages the tenant had inflicted on the property. He/She was dishonest, unprofessional, and uncommunicative, and provided one of the worst customer experiences I have come across.
I have escalated to the head of the department, but nothing has been done to improve the service. The toxicity comes from the top down and filters across the team. When another property manager was subsequently assigned, the lack of communication continued. There was a complete lack of accountability from the top down, and it's simply extremely disappointing.
For any landlord in the neighbourhood, I can only sincerely advise you to stay away from this agency for their property management service.
LATEST UPDATE: When they saw my review, one the staff reached out to me in a threathening tone requesting to remove this review and suggesed that I should pass the work to another agency when they were the one ultimately responsible for.

He has always ensured that my flat’s condition is outstanding. I highly recommend everyone to consider TLC when deciding where to live in London .

Shash was great from start to finish. She was always easy to get hold of, and having direct communication over WhatsApp made everything so much easier and quicker. She knows the local area really well and was always on hand to answer questions or sort out any issues with the vendor.
Thanks to her proactive approach, the whole process moved along smoothly and much faster than we expected. He was professional, friendly, responsive and always happy to help whenever I had questions. Buying a property can be quite stressful, especially as a first-time buyer, but Allan made the process much easier and was always available to provide updates and support when needed.
I really appreciated his straightforward approach, clear communication and willingness to help throughout the process. I would happily recommend Allan to anyone looking to buy or rent a property.

28th Oct 2026 (9 days ago)After going through two local agents with no success we finally found Eleanor (Ellie), and we’re so glad we did. From the start, she understood that we didn’t just want someone to market our property, we wanted someone who could actually sell it.
Ellie was fantastic to deal with. She has a great personality, is approachable, proactive and genuinely gets things done. She found us a buyer and negotiated on our behalf to get the price we wanted.
What really stood out was her follow-up throughout the whole process. She stayed on top of everything right through to exchange and completion, knowing when to chase things up and when to give people space to get on with it. She kept us informed and made sure everything kept moving.

Once we shared our search criteria’s with Charlie, he showed us flats that matched these and allowed us online visits and also on site when we were in London. He was very reactive and super helpful. Maria is an incredible agent, and I would absolutely recommend working with her. She found my dream home in less than a week, and I’m genuinely grateful for her help.
Unfortunately, my experience with Chestertons’ property management has been a very different story, and this is the reason for my low rating.
My concerns relate specifically to Jade Buckley, the property manager assigned to my tenancy. I have experienced repeated miscommunication, a lack of follow-through, and issues that have required significant time and effort on my part to resolve. These are not simply minor inconveniences; mistakes and poor communication around matters such as maintenance, the check-in inventory and utility accounts can have real consequences for tenants, including potential implications for their deposit.
Despite repeatedly raising my concerns and attempting to resolve matters directly, I have continued to experience the same problems. Based on my experience, if you are assigned Jade Buckley as your property manager, I would strongly recommend requesting another point of contact from the outset. Jade also lied for no particular reason other than mislead me one day and said their calls were recorded were in fact they are not. A complete and SERIOUS misrepresentation of a tenants privacy rights.
It is disappointing because Maria’s service was excellent, and my experience with her is precisely why I had such a positive impression of Chestertons in the first place. The contrast between the two experiences has been

We are happy with the place we have now, and strongly recommend her for navigating the renting process.

The day after we left, we noticed my wife had left the earrings she got for our 50th anniversary. We contacted Charlotte Romanini. She contacted the cleaning staff and had the earrings sent to her office. She helped facilitate the shipment of the earrings back to us in the states. They arrived today in perfect condition thanks to Charlotte and her staff for packaging them and getting them ready for shipment. Her efforts were above and beyond with lots of communication to us. Thanks for all you did for us. Great job!
