25th Feb 2019 (7 years ago)I have tried to rent through them two years ago and they were useless. I thought to give them a second chance and still the same. Rude if you call the office, slow response or not response at all if you email enquiring a property.

12th Feb 2025 (1 year ago)I had a very positive experience with blue field estates. In 2020 opted a multi sale for my property for sale. The agent was extremely helpful, nice, knowledgeable. Brought to me 2 buyers. I was selling and he happened to have me 2 buyers, so the other negative reviews is pretty much damn, unfortunate. I am so sorry. The agent was brilliant to us.
27th Mar 2021 (5 years ago)I generally had a good experience with this agency. Solving problems and making inquiries were always smooth. However, one of their agents (Ebony) brought a potential new tenant to visit my flat without my permission, when I was on holidays. I did not appreciate that and she never apologised, just ignored my emails.... I contacted Edward who apologised later. I have also explicitly asked to keep my letters during the transition period but never got any information about them, even knowing that some letters have arrived (got simultaneously by email). This was not nice given that I kept returning all letters for the previous tenant for a year when I moved in.
26th Sep 2025 (7 mo. ago)Recently worked with Heath Estates on a rental transaction. Unfortunately, there was a complication. Never wanted, but these things happen in life. Sue, Sarah and the team handled the issue quickly, graciously and with the utmost integrity. They made a stressful situation much easier to handle, and I would not hesitate to recommend this agency.

They restored our faith after we'd had a poor experience with another estate agent. Working with John Alan, we got clear-eyed valuation, proactive updates, suggested solutions, and all with a friendly and reliable service. We are beyond grateful to John and Dee for their commitment to our sale and highly recommend them, they are a cut above all other local estate agents. If you are selling in South East London John Alan should be your first choice.

I’ve appreciated his guidance and communication and am a bit sad to read other negative comments as they are in stark contrast to our own experience. I would highly recommend.

We had an issue with our onward purchase solicitor and Alban was very instrumental in chasing them and getting us over the line. Would have no hesitation in recommending Oakwood. They helped us find tenants really quickly, and when external circumstances meant things got complicated, they went above and beyond both in time and resource to help support us and find us the perfect solution as quickly as possible. We wouldn't hesitate to recommend them to anyone looking for a letting agent. They were responsive, available, logistically efficient, and good humoured. 22nd Aug 2023 (2 years ago)If I could give 0 star, I would. Absolutely unprofessional, disrespectful, cheap & discriminative service that this agency provides. Home owners pay them to have a part of full service. The tenants will have to deal with their own reference checks etc. as the agency is washing their hands when it comes to doing anything that they are getting paid for. After being passed onto a referencing agency who couldn't do their job properly, (which I now believe happened in collaboration with the agent of DPR as they didn't want to give us the flat ) we've been asked to get in touch with a 3rd party agency to sort out the problem. Why would you use two 3rd parties to do your reference checks? Later on the agent made is seem like it was all our fault (that their agency couldn't reference us properly) and they ahed contacted the landlord and suggested him not to go ahead with us. In all honesty, you guys better make a call to Trading Standards as well - I reported them already.The more of us the better.

29th Sep 2025 (7 mo. ago)Recently brought a property through Charringtons and I genuinely found them to be very polite, professional, honest and informative throughout the process. I speak as someone with above average knowledge of the industry and they provided exactly what I requested or were transparent when it wasn't possible along with reasoning and proposed work around. I would also say that they got the balance right between advocating for myself as the buyer, the seller and getting the sale over the line with expediency. There were multiple issues with this exchange that needed ironing out and they were able to effectively liaise between the buyer and seller to attain progress and at no extra cost to the seller via paying for another seller's pack. They were also able to assist with myself getting the keys to the garage before exchange completion which was a bit of a life saver as we were getting turfed out of our current property the week before. They were also able provide updates more promptly than our solicitors, particularly at the end as we were waiting for tenants occupying the property to vacate, which I believe they were managing also and assisted in finding them another property. I would also add that we settled on a price below the (high) asking price but still reasonable for the seller IMO (I feel I could have low balled in the current market if I was able to be sufficiently patient, so what we settled in I'd say is slightly above the market price). So a special thank you to Michael & Co at Charringtons and I would highly recommend to anyone buying/selling/letting/renting. Plus it helps that they are all good/friendly people too.
28th Aug 2021 (4 years ago)I support the feedback submitted previously about the inability to get in touch with the agents. I've called the reception 5 days in a row about arranging a viewing of a flat and I'm still expecting that some magic will happen and someone will finally call me back. I've highlighted that I had seen the development before and pretty much ready to make an offer for the flat but it's ridiculous that I just can't get in touch with anyone from the team to arrange this!

The focus on the presentation helped get people in the door and I believe heled them see themselves in the flat. He was helpful through the offer process when I was keen to take the first one. I’m glad I didn’t.

I went to him with my vision to buy my dream flat and there were so many complications as well but he took the time to understand our needs and delivered on promises. Seif is such a gem if you want someone helpful and reliable, I’d recommend him only. He even helped us to sort our Stamp Duty problem.His communication was excellent—attentive, timely, and honest.
