30th Sep 2026 (5 weeks ago)Would give 0 stars if I could.<br><br>My experience with KFH has been an absolute nightmare.<br><br>I moved into a property in January and was completely unaware beforehand that it had significant damp and mould. Once I discovered it, I repeatedly reported the issues to KFH and their property management team. Despite numerous emails, follow-ups and maintenance visits, the underlying damp was never properly addressed.<br><br>I was repeatedly reassured by people connected to the landlord that there was nothing wrong with the property, despite the problems I was experiencing. Even KFH staff told me that “no one had raised it before”, despite the bedroom smelling so strongly of damp that it felt like an underground aquarium. Communication from KFH was also extremely poor, with very slow responses which left me constantly having to chase for updates.<br><br>Eventually, the property became uninhabitable and I had no choice but to move out and pay for alternative accommodation, resulting in thousands of pounds of additional costs and losses.<br><br>I paid for an independent damp and mould inspection myself, which confirmed the property had significant damp and mould. Despite this, I still had to leave the property.<br><br>What makes the situation even more frustrating is that £750 of my deposit has now been awarded to the landlord, despite everything that happened during the tenancy. I find this completely unacceptable given the circumstances and KFH made no attempt to resolve the situation and protected a very corrupt landlord.<br><br>This has been ongoing since January and has caused an enormous amount of stress. I have ultimately decided to walk away from pursuing the matter further for the sake of my own sanity.<br><br>I would never ever use KFH again based on my experience. I would STRONGLY advise anyone considering renting through them to think very carefully. The way this situation was handled was extremely disappointing, from the branch I dealt with right through to head office and area manager.<br><br>AVOID!!

Also, I asked them to advertise my property at a slightly lower price than they had advised. They are very knowledgeable, energetic and focused. Let's wait and see if the sale does indeed go to fruition.

I experienced him to be well mannered, professional and accommodating throughout. I would highly recommend this company to others seeking a new home.
7th Oct 2026 (25 days ago)? 1 star — and honestly, I wish I could give zero.<br><br>If you are thinking about using Foxtons to manage or sell your property, please think very carefully before you do. My experience has been an absolute nightmare from start to finish. What should have been a straightforward process turned into months of chasing, calling, emailing, escalating and repeatedly asking Foxtons to do things I was already paying them to do.<br><br>The biggest problem? I was paying Foxtons to manage my property, but I ended up having to manage Foxtons.<br><br>Communication was appalling. I was repeatedly told things would be dealt with, only to find myself chasing again because nothing had happened. I was passed between different members of staff, had to repeatedly explain the same issues and constantly push for basic answers. Nobody seemed prepared to take ownership and actually see a problem through to the end.<br><br>Then came the mess after the tenants vacated.<br><br>Half the keys were returned late and the other half had apparently been lost and were only found months later. There was substantial damage left at the property, yet I was left waiting month after month for quotations and updates. I chased and chased, only to eventually find that the matter had been dealt with through the deposit scheme and the result was £15.<br><br>£15.<br><br>After all the damage, delays and time spent chasing Foxtons, that was the outcome.<br><br>To make matters worse, Foxtons failed to properly communicate what was happening with the deposit process and I was subsequently cut off from the deposit scheme, leaving me with no meaningful way to pursue the matter. Six months later, I am still waiting for a promised phone call from Foxtons.<br><br>Then there was the completely unnecessary situation involving our new estate agent collecting the keys. I live overseas and my mum was struggling to get to the Foxtons office, so our new estate agent was doing us a favour by collecting the keys on our behalf. Instead of simply handing over the keys, a member of the Foxtons office staff became confrontational with our new agent and told him to come outside to fight.<br><br>This was completely unacceptable and completely unnecessary. Someone was trying to help us because I live overseas, and Foxtons managed to turn even the simple collection of keys into another confrontation.<br><br>By this point it was impossible to see these as isolated mistakes. Weeks would pass, I would chase, I would be given an assurance, nothing would happen and I would have to chase again.<br><br>I was living overseas throughout this. I wasn't asking Foxtons to do me a favour. I was paying them to manage my property. I should not have needed to spend hours making calls and sending emails from the other side of the world just to get basic things done.<br><br>Eventually I escalated the matter to senior management because the normal channels clearly weren't working. You would expect that to finally result in someone taking responsibility.<br><br>It didn't.<br><br>I received one email and then nothing. No meaningful follow-up, no resolution and no phone call.<br><br>For a company charging professional estate-agent fees, this level of service is completely unacceptable. I don't expect perfection, but I do expect communication, accountability and basic follow-through.<br><br>I would never use Foxtons again and I would strongly advise anyone considering using them to look elsewhere. Don't just judge an estate agent by how they appear when everything is going smoothly. Judge them by how they deal with problems.<br><br>In my experience, Foxtons didn't take ownership. They became another problem I had to manage.<br><br>An estate agent should make selling and managing your property easier. Foxtons made it harder, more stressful and far more time-consuming than it ever needed to be.<br><br>And the most ridiculous part? The matter is STILL not resolved. I am still waiting for an email back from Sam.

15th Oct 2026 (17 days ago)Disappointing Experience and Lack of Clear Communication<br>I am very disappointed with my experience with this estate agent.<br>When I agreed to proceed with the property purchase, the sellers clearly confirmed that they would move out on the completion date. The estate agent also confirmed this, which gave me confidence to move forward with the purchase.<br>Based on these assurances, I paid my solicitor for the property searches. Once the search results were received, I also booked and paid for a survey, committing further time and money to the process.<br>However, at this stage, the sellers suddenly informed us that their circumstances had changed and that they could no longer confirm when they would be able to move out. This was extremely frustrating, as the original arrangement had been clearly confirmed to us.<br>I contacted the estate agent hoping they would help resolve the situation, but unfortunately, the issue remained unresolved, leaving us in a very difficult and uncertain position.<br>I understand that circumstances can change, but when buyers are given clear assurances and make financial commitments based on them, I believe better communication, more careful handling, and greater support are essential.<br>Overall, this has been a very disappointing and stressful experience. I expected a much more professional approach and better support from the estate agent throughout the process. I hope they take this feedback seriously and improve how they manage expectations and communicate with buyers in similar situations.

I’ll admit I was initially quite wary of estate agents, as I had always had the impression that the main priority was securing the sale and commission, but Michael completely changed that perception for me.<br><br>From the beginning, he really listened to what I liked and disliked and was always genuine and straightforward with me. I never felt pressured into making a decision, and I genuinely felt that he wanted to help me find the right property rather than simply make a sale.<br><br>My situation also had a few more moving parts than a straightforward purchase, and Michael was incredibly supportive and patient throughout the whole process. He followed up closely, kept things moving where he could, and often went above and beyond to help.<br><br>What I especially appreciated was how approachable he was. He would always reassure me that there was no such thing as a silly question and to just ask him anything, and he would always do his best to assist or find out the answer for me. That made what could have been quite a stressful process feel a lot easier.<br><br>Overall, Michael was sincere, responsive and genuinely supportive from beginning to end. I’m really happy with my new home and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend him to anyone looking to buy or sell a property!
