13th Jun 2024 (6 weeks ago)I have been looking to rent a flat in South East London. I registered with Galloways because I knew they were a local independent agent with good knowledge of the area. Aston arranged a viewing on a flat in Penge. He let me take my time to walk around the flat and take photos. He was also very patient in answering my many questions. Penge is not an area I know well, so Aston thoughtfully suggested if I wanted to get a coffee there is a cafe and garden centre in the area, he showed me on the map and even walked me in that direction. This was such a thoughtful and helpful thing to do, and helped me to get more familiar with what is available in the area. Very different to some agents who seem to be in a rush to get to their next appointment and dont have time to answer all my questions. I have already recommended Galloways to a friend who might be looking to sell her house and buy something else in the area.

He was professional, friendly and very transparent not to mention very attentive to all my requests. He made the experience of finding the perfect property very relaxed and pleasant. I will definitely be recommending him to my friends and family, and of course will be using him again in the near future!

She gave us a wonderfully personal service, her knowledge of the local market was exceptional and she achieved close to our target price for our flat at a very competitive time. She was friendly, clear and helpful through the whole process, managing all the details of a complex sale, even taking care of arranging a contractor to fit a replacement boiler at short notice. We are very glad we used Global House Estates rather than one of the better-known chains, because they really cared about the outcome. For clarity, persistence, warm communication and attention to detail we can't recommend GHE highly enough.

But in the end, after more than 2 months, we did not have a single visit and no updates or communication from them as well. I would not choose them again or recommend it.

18th Mar 2024 (19 weeks ago)DO NOT SELL YOUR BUSINESS THROUGH THIS COMPANY! READ THE SMALL PRINT This company are extremely aggressive and unprofessional. We advertised a business with them, paid an huge fee to advertise. Later after terminating, we agreed investment (not even a sale) from an investor we met directly, who was never introduced by Hilton Smythe. After accepting investment after terminating with Hilton Smythe they demanded their commission!! Totally unreasonable given it was after termination and the person who invested in our business was never known to or introduced by Hilton Smythe! They are now behaving aggressively and threatening legal action. We in turn have reported them to the ombudsman and trading standards. They are snake oil salesmen. DO NOT DEAL!

However John and Madison provided what turned out to be accurate initial advice and after a short time on the market (and after several viewings) a very good offer from a buyer with a 4 week deadline. They both assisted us through the stressful (due to the tight timescales) selling process and we are delighted that we managed to sell and move to our new home. I can thoroughly recommend John and Madison who will get to know your property and provide a first class service from start to finish. Thanks guys!!
1st Jun 2024 (8 weeks ago)If your homeless and get offered a property managed by this company do yourself a favour and stay on the streets this company will violate your basic human rights . When it says all bills inclusive they ain't they expect you to do their job for them run around topping gas up 2 weeks without a washing machine and apx response to the request from tenants in building to rectify this is to lie constantly and to blame landlady am hoping to be as far away from apx in next few weeks. I have blocked apx properties from contacting me I want nothing to do with them and if you got half a brain cell you will do the same
