28th May 2025 (20 days ago)I used Able Estates both for rental of my property and for it's sale. It was good to deal with local people who know the area and the market and when we lost our purchaser Able were very pro-active in organising viewings and the subsequent sale went through smoothly
20th Sep 2024 (8 mo. ago)I've decided to give this a one-star rating, or even zero if possible. The agent, Sharone Balarajah, was incredibly rude. It's baffling to me how she even became an agent because she clearly lacks the ability to communicate with clients. Despite my attempts to explain, she was continuously shouting and rude, insisting that everything be done immediately because she was going on annual leave. It's unacceptable for Bernard Marcus Estate Agency to have agents like her, who seem to think they can insult clients. It felt like we were dealing with someone who had no regard for professionalism or basic courtesy. This behavior cannot be overlooked. It's imperative that this individual be confronted and sent for training. (FYI : This is Barnard Marcus Thornton Heath Croydon.) We want to remortgage our property

Between tenancies I am having the property redecorated and some electric / heating works undertaken - all arranged by Vithu of Portico. He has been invaluable in obtaining quotes, arranging access and communicating what's happening with me. Vithu has also been responsive to any email queries I have had. What would have taken me a lot of time and stress was efficiently sorted on my behalf - thank you.

15th May 2025 (5 weeks ago)Overall really pleasant to work with in the selling process. Always responded very quickly and were proactive about booking viewings. The only area of improvement would be feedback from viewings, I probably only received feedback on 30% of the viewings that took place which left me feeling a little in the dark at times.
20th Aug 2024 (9 mo. ago)Had a viewing booked with michael i believe, can’t remember his name, was say waiting at the property for 20minutes and noone was picking up the phones or bothered to notify me of any changes, very unprofessional and rude to waste a clients time. My husband and i took time of work only for it to be a waste.
3rd Jun 2025 (14 days ago)From the initial viewing handled by Bridie to the contract process managed by Molly, the entire experience was very professional. Communication was prompt and clear throughout. I had to visit the office twice, and on both occasions, I was attended to quickly and efficiently, spending only a few minutes each time. Excellent service overall.

Payed great attention to the details in properties that I was after and presented me with some lovely properties to view. Fabulous customer service and wish every estate agent had a Tiffany working for them it would make renting a lot simpler. Thanks for all your help Tiffany!!

We had a great experience throughout - with a lot of hard work put in by Godefroy and the team. Acorn secured a good price for our house and kept us well informed throughout the sale, helping us to exchange and complete on a date that suited all parties. Would recommend!

18th Mar 2024 (1 year ago)DO NOT SELL YOUR BUSINESS THROUGH THIS COMPANY! READ THE SMALL PRINT This company are extremely aggressive and unprofessional. We advertised a business with them, paid an huge fee to advertise. Later after terminating, we agreed investment (not even a sale) from an investor we met directly, who was never introduced by Hilton Smythe. After accepting investment after terminating with Hilton Smythe they demanded their commission!! Totally unreasonable given it was after termination and the person who invested in our business was never known to or introduced by Hilton Smythe! They are now behaving aggressively and threatening legal action. We in turn have reported them to the ombudsman and trading standards. They are snake oil salesmen. DO NOT DEAL!
6th Jun 2025 (11 days ago)I was greeted by Gabriel in respectful, friendly but very professional manner right from the start. There was no sales pitch as I was shown around my property of interest allowing me to make an informed decision and consider my needs. Once I moved forward I was impressed and felt of value when I contacted and was contacted by Gabriel, kept informed of processes at each stage which was explained right up to fruition. Gabriel said 'we are here for you' 'we are here to help' and you really were. I cannot thank you enough Moving Inn and can't believe I really will be moving in :-)

When we moved to LIVIN the enquiries and viewings started coming in and soon we had an offer. The communication from viewings to completion has been fantastic. 3rd Jun 2025 (14 days ago)Our experience of selling our property with Oaks was excellent. Mason and his team did an amazing job from the first visit and valuation onwards. They were personable, friendly and professional. We found the group viewings on weekends especially convenient, and the communication via WhatsApp was great. Our property was sold within two weeks, but then Tyler kept on top of everything, helping to keep the wheels turning with regular contact with our buyers, the other estate agents in the chain and the various solicitors involved. A gold star service all round.
