4th Aug 2024 (8 mo. ago)They were reasonable except when using their subcontractors. We found their subcontractors generally substandard but it was no use complaining because Satchells always took their side.

7th Apr 2025 (13 days ago)I had the pleasure of dealing with Jon, Lee and Caitlin. All of who were fantastic, Jon in particular updated me pretty much every day whilst we tried to navigate a tricky purchase. Unfortunately due to the seller wasting time we wasn’t able to purchase it however Jon and his team did everything right and everything they could their side. Just came down to a waste of time seller. Would highly recommend satchells to anyone though!

They helped get viewings booked in fast and we sold in under two weeks. Once sold they always responded promptly and helpfully with our inquiries about the chain and passing messages between us and the buyers.

They were also able to help negotiate the price of our onward purchase with a neighbouring estate agent. In all very happy. Big shout out to Craig Putton who is a lovely guy and very helpful in the whole process. Also Imogen for her excellent and sunny phone manner. ????

Everyone on the team has been a pleasure to deal with - answering queries in a timely fashion, always courteous and professional but friendly with it. Non-intrusive but diligent with inspections of the flat. My very best wishes to Josie, Louise and all!

3rd Apr 2025 (17 days ago)Initial engagement was strong - well prepared for the valuation having produced data on similar property sales to give me a steer on what price range to expect. The quality of the photographs was disappointing - no use of drone technology and the absence of video or virtual tour videos did not help with viewing numbers. I would expect a professional photographer to be taking the photographs in hindsight. Communication was very good once engaged - bi-weekly calls to update on progress. Regular amendments were made to the picture sets and social media advertising was used too. The market was difficult when trying to sell our property but I felt as if local area knowledge was limited to our primary contact and that viewings that did not involve the primary contact were less engaging for those viewing. Our primary contact was very good and did a good job.

12th Apr 2025 (8 days ago)I have had an extremely disappointing experience with Stonegates and would not recommend their services. Their communication was poor, with emails and calls frequently going unanswered. When I did manage to get in touch, responses were vague, unhelpful, and often contradicted previous information. This lack of clarity made the entire rental process unnecessarily stressful. When it came time to move out, the handling of my deposit was equally disappointing and any attempt to negotiate with them was met with slow, dismissive responses. The lack of professionalism in this area was particularly concerning. Overall, my experience with Stonegates has been one of poor communication, disregard for tenants, and a lack of accountability. I strongly advise others to be cautious before using their services.

18th Mar 2024 (1 year ago)DO NOT SELL YOUR BUSINESS THROUGH THIS COMPANY! READ THE SMALL PRINT This company are extremely aggressive and unprofessional. We advertised a business with them, paid an huge fee to advertise. Later after terminating, we agreed investment (not even a sale) from an investor we met directly, who was never introduced by Hilton Smythe. After accepting investment after terminating with Hilton Smythe they demanded their commission!! Totally unreasonable given it was after termination and the person who invested in our business was never known to or introduced by Hilton Smythe! They are now behaving aggressively and threatening legal action. We in turn have reported them to the ombudsman and trading standards. They are snake oil salesmen. DO NOT DEAL!

From start to finish they were very helpful and created an attractive, professional presentation of the property. They handled viewings efficiently and communicated well once we had accepted an offer and were moving through the chain. If I had a property to buy or sell in their area I would definitely use them again.
