17th Sep 2026 (1 day ago)Valuation was too high and we went ahead with it thinking we will get the best value but after 8 weeks we took matters into our our hand and reduced the price by 10% . A huge drop but the property was empty and we needed to sell it . You need to do a bit if research yourself before finalising the estate agent .

10th Aug 2026 (6 weeks ago)Recently moved in to a property let by Dixons, Edgbaston branch. Rent is £950 per month. Upon moving in, we had no working fridge/freezer for 4 months. It had last been PAT tested in 2017. Fridge was connected to the supply through a hole in the wall, which is quite clearly not legit.<br>Landlords were not sorting issues, and we had essentially been let an unsafe, unchecked flat, with a knackered fridge/freezer. Landlords had stored it in an internal cupboard to hide extent of the damage.<br>Went in branch to discuss with Dixons. They said we were on our own. All they do is let the property, and then will have nothing to do with any issues...<br>But you rented this property to us, declaring it was ready to move in? The kitchen tiles are cracked, cupboards hanging off walls and we're left to deal with the disruption of repairs etc.<br>They'll rush you in, take your money, and leave you in a flat that's quite clearly unsafe and needed fixing before new tenants moved in. Would not use again and will definitely not be recommending to anyone.

10th Oct 2024 (1 year ago)First time I had used an Estate Agent for 34 years. Hunters were recommended and did not disappoint. Their marketing and photographs were excellent, they achieved the price we wanted and kept us up to date throughout the entire process. Very pleased indeed and thoroughly recommend Jake and his Team.

3rd Sep 2026 (15 days ago)My experience with Northwood Birmingham has been disappointing and frustrating.<br><br>?Communication is consistently poor. Emails and phone calls go ignored, and getting a response requires chasing them repeatedly for weeks. It feels completely unprofessional, especially when you expect basic courtesy and responsiveness in return.<br><br>?More importantly, their property management standards are unacceptable.<br><br>After the tenants moved out, the property was left in a miserable condition. As a landlord paying for management, you expect your property to be looked after, but Northwood fell far short.<br><br>?I hope management takes this feedback seriously and makes necessary improvements to their customer service and inspection standards.

I took time off work for a viewing, submitted all the requested documents within 30 minutes afterwards, at the asking price without even negotiating, and clearly explained that I needed to secure a place urgently.<br><br>Despite this, I was later told the property had already been let agreed. This happened to me repeatedly, wasting my time and even my annual leave. My credit history and background are good, and I had no issues with the checks.<br><br>They clearly do not value prospective tenants’ time. If you want a smooth and professional experience, I would strongly recommend looking elsewhere. Very poor service.
28th May 2026 (16 weeks ago)Worst service and they are scammers. If you pay rent on time they wont fix anything and took my entire deposit. Had a balacony issue for 4 years and no one even came to fix it says the balacony door manufactorer is from another area

The team is incredibly friendly, super approachable, and they genuinely take the stress out of being a landlord. Every time I've needed to get in touch, they've been quick to reply and always sort out tenant or maintenance issues with a smile. It makes a huge difference dealing with a team that is so warm, reliable, and professional. Highly recommend them to any property owner

3rd Sep 2026 (15 days ago)A property was listed for rent on the morning of Tuesday 01/09/2026.<br><br>We rang the same morning as soon as senate opened to book a viewing and was told that we were the first to enquire and they would be in touch tomorrow (02/09/2026) as they had only just listed it and that the lady who will be managing the viewings for it is off today.<br><br>Didn’t receive any calls or anything the next day (02/09/2026) as advised, so following day decided to call on the morning (03/09/2026) and said to them we havent been contacted.<br><br>Different lady answered from the initial call, assume this is the lady who is managing the viewings, told us it was fully booked out for viewings and that it was tough luck. She had a terrible attitude towards us on the phone about it too, as though we were making it up!<br><br>Crazy! Absolutely disgusting! We were first in on that listing. We think it’s because we told them we have a young child on the initial call. They can’t discriminate so they accidentally forget you. Don’t use this company, will be looking into further options of complaint with official bodies with how this was handled also.<br><br>Addition to this review -<br><br>What’s even funnier now is that this property is today 03/09/2026 showing as let agreed now.<br><br>Though the supposed viewings that were fully booked are supposed to take place on Saturday 05/09/2026.<br><br>So how is let agreed? How have the relevant checks been made with the tenants of whom it is agreed with in less than one day from listing, and without even doing a viewing yet either?<br><br>Screenshots and timestamps all taken, can’t wait to to take these questionable practices to the ombudsman.

30th Aug 2026 (19 days ago)I thought using a local high street estate agent was the best option. I WAS SO WRONG!<br><br>After having a sale fall through with another agent just before Christmas, I decided to take a break before putting the house back on the market. That’s when I instructed Fran and Nicky, and the difference was incredible.<br><br>The service was genuinely above and beyond and completely the opposite of my previous experience.<br><br>Communication was exceptional from start to finish. I never felt like my house was simply another property on their books. They were completely invested in selling it and, just as importantly, once we had a buyer, making sure the sale actually made it through to completion.<br><br>They were always one step ahead, anticipating potential issues before they became problems. I also know they worked just as hard with my buyer as they did with me, making sure we both felt completely supported throughout the process and that everything kept moving.<br><br>After being empty and on the market for nearly 12 months, Fran and Nicky relisted my house and we sold and completed within five months.<br><br>To say I would recommend Fran and Nicky doesn’t really do their service justice. What they offer is completely different to anything I had experienced before. They genuinely care about the outcome, take responsibility for the whole process and are there with you right through to completion.<br><br>Selling a house can be one of the most stressful things you go through, and having this level of communication, commitment and support is invaluable.<br><br>If you are considering selling your home, I honestly wouldn’t go anywhere else.
26th Aug 2026 (23 days ago)By far the worst experience with a letting agent throughout university. I spent my year following up maintenance issues because they do not give an answer over the phone or respond to emails half of the time, or say that they have booked contractors or ordered parts, which then turns out wasn’t done at all. Spent 4 months without a working dishwasher, 7 months without fridge freezer drawers and shelves or oven racks, couldn’t use the garden in summer because it was never cleared in over two months after requesting it, had a leak in an electrical area for over a month, etc. Then comes the end of tenancy, they try to charge us over £1000 in damages, including £400 cleaning fee with no reason behind it, fabricated costs for small damages, and damages which we had evidence that they had been aware of since 3 years earlier. Complete scammers, too lazy to do their job and want to trick young people who don’t know any better out of their money. Shame because the house was lovely.
