2nd Jun 2026 (17 days ago)I have recently renteda property from Paul Dubberley in West Bromwich. I found the staff professional and friendly. I struggled with the tech side of how things needed to be completed. Chelsea Ullman was so helpful in assisting me. I was able to go into the office at short notice and she even offered to come to my house to help. I commend the service I have received which made my move which is a very stressful time much easier.

12th Jun 2026 (7 days ago)No called and no showed our first viewing, another viewing there was an issue with the lock and we were told we would be updated within a few days to resolve the issue and get us in for a viewing only to hear nothing. The next week my partner and I had both attempted to contact the branch only to be ignored, 4 weeks on we have still heard nothing back. Very frustrating and unprofessional experience with some of the worst communication I've ever received from a business! Would not recommend
15th Jun 2026 (4 days ago)There was very little communication over a long period after phoning them again and again,despite no viewings taking place. The agent repeatedly asked me to reduce the price, claiming that a previous viewer had said the property was overpriced. However, there had actually been no viewings at all, meaning this feedback could not have been genuine. It felt as though advice was being given to me without any real knowledge or evidence about the property’s market interest.
15th Jun 2026 (4 days ago)Having to edit this review due to massive negligence from Dixons..., as a tenant of a property they let to me, they rushed me and my family in without telling us that the property was still for sale, not one word was said but my main gripe is the way are dealing with a blocked drain that has caused raw sewage to come into my garden..., 2 weeks ago I reported the problem and still my landlord hasn't dealt with the situation and Dixons are just nonchalant about the whole thing! Absolutely poor the way they are dealing with this. Me and my partner dealt with Dixons for a rental property, the whole process was easy and I must say ran very smoothly and quickly, I'd say thats down to staff, notably Eve and Eliza. I would recommend Dixons as it was a doddle, so 5 stars from us.

Ben was approachable and knowledgeable in valuing the property and advising and D'arcy was friendly and helpful in keeping in touch and letting me know how things were progressing. Thank you all for an efficient service.

23rd May 2026 (27 days ago)We were due to move into a property managed through Genie Homes on 22 May 2026. The tenancy agreement had been signed and completed, and we had arranged our family move around that date. On the morning we were meant to move in, we were told by text message that the landlord had changed her mind and that we could no longer move into the property. This left us in an extremely difficult position as a family. Our home was packed, we had already made arrangements connected to the move, including our son’s school transport, and we were left trying to work out where we were going to live at very short notice. Our son has Down syndrome and significant additional needs, so the sudden uncertainty and disruption caused a huge amount of stress for us. Although some staff members tried to help afterwards, the overall handling of the situation felt very unprofessional and lacked proper accountability. We had to keep chasing for updates, requested calls from senior management that did not happen, and were left in limbo when we needed clear communication and practical support. Based on our experience, I would not recommend using this company.
1st Jun 2026 (18 days ago)We had planned to stay at one of their properties however it was trashed when we arrived, had drugs on the side and have had 0 help from the company. Ignoring messages and no reply since. When we initially got there the fob to access the building wasn't in the lockbox and no one replied to our calls our messages. Terrible experience and somehow even worse customer service.

18th Mar 2024 (2 years ago)DO NOT SELL YOUR BUSINESS THROUGH THIS COMPANY! READ THE SMALL PRINT This company are extremely aggressive and unprofessional. We advertised a business with them, paid an huge fee to advertise. Later after terminating, we agreed investment (not even a sale) from an investor we met directly, who was never introduced by Hilton Smythe. After accepting investment after terminating with Hilton Smythe they demanded their commission!! Totally unreasonable given it was after termination and the person who invested in our business was never known to or introduced by Hilton Smythe! They are now behaving aggressively and threatening legal action. We in turn have reported them to the ombudsman and trading standards. They are snake oil salesmen. DO NOT DEAL!

9th Jun 2026 (10 days ago)5 starts purely for Kyra Naomi, we ended up enduring a 9month sale that was not straight forward and Kyra was attentive the entire time. Most people in this situation would give up or not be bothered as it took so long but Kyra was always on the phone or available by text never an issue. Great employee. TA did not act on behalf of me but Kyra was great to deal with.

The data led presentation and the ability to see the scale of the prospective buyers was very refreshing. Ryan has been excellent with communication and listening to my requirements and has delivered them brilliantly. Best agent I have worked with.
