Nothing was ever too much trouble, and they made the whole experience stress-free.<br><br>They found us a wonderful little cottage and guided us through every step, making sure everything went as smoothly as possible. The team were always professional, and incredibly efficient.<br><br>Their spacious, and welcoming office in Farnham reflects the excellent service they provide. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Charters Farnham to anyone looking for an estate agent that genuinely cares about its clients.
2nd Jan 2026 (7 mo. ago)We bought our house with Romans in Fleet in July 2025, after almost two years of searching and working with several agencies in different areas. Once we decided to focus on Fleet, Romans truly stood out. Special thanks to Charlie and Matthew, who were outstanding throughout the process. Communication was fast and proactive, and their support during negotiations was excellent. Thanks to their efforts, we achieved a very good price reduction, which played a key role in making the purchase happen. They were also very helpful in arranging multiple viewings to suit our needs. The only area that could be improved is the move manager role. Unfortunately, this part of the process was more stressful than helpful. Communication around completion and moving day (keys, meeting point, and next steps) was unclear and came very late, which caused unnecessary confusion. At such a critical stage, clearer guidance and better coordination would make a big difference. That said, the Romans Fleet team stepped in to resolve the issues, and overall it was a genuinely positive experience. They helped facilitate the process for both buyer and seller, avoided unnecessary obstacles, and handled negotiations in a friendly, positive, and professional way. After some very poor experiences with other agencies in Fleet, I can confidently say that Romans Fleet is one of the best agencies in the area, and I would happily recommend them.

It has been a fairly stressful process, with multiple hiccups which were out of anyones control. Without Nina's checking in a reassurance I think I would have gone mad. From the very beginning, he was professional, knowledgeable, and always kept us informed every step of the way. His communication was excellent, and he was always available to answer any questions or offer reassurance when we needed it.<br><br>Brad worked incredibly hard to secure the best outcome for us and made what can often be a stressful process feel much more manageable. His honesty, dedication, and attention to detail really stood out, and we always felt that he had our best interests at heart.<br><br>We couldn't have asked for a better estate agent and would highly recommend Brad to anyone looking to buy or sell a property. 18th Jul 2026 (17 days ago)This has genuinely been the worst experience I have ever had with any estate agent. Having been both a homeowner, a landlord and a tenant over the years, I have dealt with plenty of property professionals. I have never experienced a company that has caused this level of unnecessary stress, frustration and conflict.<br><br>Throughout my tenancy, repairs that were clearly the landlord's responsibility were repeatedly delayed despite constant chasing. When contractors were finally instructed, some later contacted me directly because they were struggling to get paid by Bourne and asked me to assist. I also found myself repeatedly having to defend myself against accusations that I had failed to communicate with contractors or had somehow caused delays. On more than one occasion I had to produce complete email chains, WhatsApp messages and text conversations to demonstrate that what I was being accused of was simply incorrect.<br><br>The end of my tenancy has been even worse. I have repeatedly been told that I am contractually required to do things that, after carefully reviewing my signed tenancy agreement, simply are not required.<br><br>Whenever I have challenged these demands, instead of receiving a professional explanation, I have felt intimidated, spoken down to and placed under unnecessary pressure. Time and time again I have had to refer Bourne back to their own tenancy agreement and provide documentary evidence to correct information I had been given. No tenant should have to spend their time proving that an estate agent is wrong about the very contract they are administering.<br><br>The overwhelming impression throughout my tenancy has been an organisation more interested in creating pressure than resolving problems. Rather than acting as a professional intermediary between landlord and tenant, I have found Bourne to be confrontational, dismissive and, at times, wholly unreasonable.<br><br>My advice to anyone considering using Bourne Estate Agents is simple: keep every conversation in writing, retain every email, text message and WhatsApp conversation, and read your tenancy agreement yourself rather than relying on what you are told. In my experience, it is the only way to protect yourself.<br><br>Without question, this has been the most stressful and disappointing experience I have ever had with an estate agent, and I would never choose to use Bourne Estate Agents again or recommend them to anyone.
3rd Jul 2026 (5 weeks ago)I would avoid these estate agents. Their customer service is fine, but unfortunately they work with misleading developers. Likely, you will end up losing money on your property and with a lot of unnecessary stress if you use them for a new build. We bought a new build through them about 3 years ago. To this date, the developer they have been representing has not finished our road, landscaping, or snagging. And this is after chasers and legal action. This has already been addressed with Waterfords at the time, so they are well aware, and we understand that it is not their responsibility to fulfil the developer's duties. However, what I did not expect is that whilst they well know that the said developer (Downton Homes) misleads buyers, Waterfords will continue advertising and selling their properties (having just sold a full new development for them in Ewshot). I guess money talks! But also says a lot about the ethics of this organisation called Waterfords. I would not deal with a business with such ethics, let alone use them to purchase a new build, and moreso if it is produced by Downton Homes.
18th Mar 2024 (2 years ago)DO NOT SELL YOUR BUSINESS THROUGH THIS COMPANY! READ THE SMALL PRINT This company are extremely aggressive and unprofessional. We advertised a business with them, paid an huge fee to advertise. Later after terminating, we agreed investment (not even a sale) from an investor we met directly, who was never introduced by Hilton Smythe. After accepting investment after terminating with Hilton Smythe they demanded their commission!! Totally unreasonable given it was after termination and the person who invested in our business was never known to or introduced by Hilton Smythe! They are now behaving aggressively and threatening legal action. We in turn have reported them to the ombudsman and trading standards. They are snake oil salesmen. DO NOT DEAL!

Would reply within 24 hours to any queries over email and normally call back within the hour if needed.
17th Jun 2026 (7 weeks ago)We sold our three bedroom house with Nicholsons, and found the team to be very professional, thoughtful and always one step ahead! We didn’t have to chase them and they helped us with chasing solicitors. They kept us well informed throughout the whole process, were always friendly when we contacted them and made a stressful process far less stressful! Plus they work really cohesively as a team and if our main contact was ever unavailable, the rest of the team were helpful. I would not hesitate to recommend Nicholsons to anyone - brilliant service. Alex was our main contact and he was fantastic!

The transaction was on the verge of collapsing until Darren stepped in and pulled all parties together to make the necessary changes. Right at the most critical time. Without Darren’s positive attitude and communication skills, I’m sure the transaction would’ve collapsed. Very grateful to Darren for this and I would recommend his services in future!

The data led presentation and the ability to see the scale of the prospective buyers was very refreshing. Ryan has been excellent with communication and listening to my requirements and has delivered them brilliantly. Best agent I have worked with.
17th Jul 2026 (18 days ago)Please stay clear of this company. They are highly unprofessional and have no desire to stand by their own terms and work in a smooth and timely manner. They do not stay updated on any progress when working through a purchase of a property and do not act as if they want to get to completion within their own 60-day terms. I had two occasions on the same property when a mortgage valuation was booked in, and the Jack Senior at Let Property assured me the first would be completed. Once no one turned up at the property to allow access for the valuation, it had to be rebooked, and when I spoke to Jack again he assured me 100% someone would be there. But again, when the valuer arrived at the property no one was there to allow access. Also during the process it would take days, sometimes a week, to get a simple bit of info or just a return call from Jack or anyone at Let Property. They set 60-day completion terms, which I was happy to work to and moved fast on my side, but when they constantly delayed things, it got to the point nothing was moving foward. On top of this, they take a reservation deposit and will not refund it has we are past the 60-day terms even with the delays being their own fault. I would highly recommend staying clear and using any other company. I have found Pure Investor to be very professional, helpful and hardworking to make sure both the seller and buyer are happy and continue to get things moving forward.

Whilst we sold with another agent, we bought with Brockenhurst and they’ve helped us massively with our searches, finding our perfect house, and have kept us up to date throughout the process. I feel very confident with the process going forward, and we can’t wait to get into our dream home! Dan has been amazing throughout, and has helped to guide us through this complex and sometimes stressful situation, especially with a baby on the way as well! Thank you for your help ??- 26th Jul 2026 (9 days ago)We have recently let our property with Bourne and our experience so far has been very positive, particularly with Kathryne Hopkins. Throughout the months leading up to our decision to let our property there was quite a lot of uncertainty due to delays with my international job relocation. Kathryne was very reassuring, patient, and professional in handling our individual circumstances. The viewings were handled promptly and efficiently and our property was let within days of it being advertised. This allowed for a 2 day gap between us moving out and our tenants moving in - this is fantastic from a cash flow perspective as a landlord! We look forward to continuing to work with Bourne and highly recommend to landlords, especially first time landlords, based on our experience to date.
