Selling house was never a straightforward process, but their professionalism made all the difference throughout the entire process. From the very beginning, they took the time to understand my situation, provided clear and honest advice, and developed a strategy that worked best for me.
Despite the challenges we faced, Aleksa remained professional, proactive, and solution-focused at every turn. They handled negotiations with skill and honesty, kept me updated regularly, and were always available to answer my questions—no matter how big or small. Their deep knowledge of the market and strong attention to detail gave me confidence that I was in the best possible hands.

We have used Matthew James on 7 separate transactions and they were brilliant every time. They give great advice, are a joy to deal with and manage everything with the utmost professionalism and skill. They are incredibly responsive (returning calls within minutes). We couldn’t have managed the sales without them, because they did so much of the transaction management to keep everything on track, and they found really lovely buyers for all the properties we sold. Buying and selling property can be stressful, but MJ make the whole process so much easier. All buyers they introduced were genuine and completed each sale, so there was no wasted time for anyone. Everyone in the office is terrific! Highly recommended.

They were efficient and considerate when issues needed to be addressed and always gave plenty of notice if a visit was necessary for maintenance or utility or property inspection. I can highly recommend them to anyone seeking a reliable letting agency.

Exactly what you need when things get stressful. Would certainly recommend them, over the big corporate high street agents.
13th Jan 2022 (4 years ago)I decided to sell my flat with Hamptons in Teddington. They over valed my property it’s a second home , I reduced it dramatically and the offers came in . Having finally agreed a good offer I asked them to do sufficient investigation into their funds to buy and the level of borrowing. They were hopeless on this and after a month into solicitors etc . My fears came through and my sale fell through. I then put it up for rental and it was gone in three days even though I am very specific about my tenant profile . They even paid me 6 months up. front as I had two other parties prepared to do the same . My property is in A list location and premium.
4th Nov 2026 (3 days ago)Winkworth completely let me down. They took on my listing, and failed to get more than viewings for the property. The manager that had me signed the contract, disppeared after two weeks, and no one informed me of the change. I was not informed of viewings times, or asked for consentt despite being promised that in advanced. In the end I had to switch to another agent after the 3 month exclusivity period who lined up 10 viewings for me within the first two weeks of re-listing. Winkworth cost me money, time and were unprofessional. I would not recommend them.

9th Dec 2025 (10 mo. ago)One of the worst letting experiences I’ve had. Poor communication, emails ignored, phones often not answered, and only after days of chasing did we find out the landlord wouldn’t accept a guarantor, despite this being clear from the start. They completely wasted our time and money.
- Update, in reponse to owner's comment: Terrible, misleading experience. From day one we clearly stated on the offer form that we needed a guarantor, and your agent Daniel explicitly told us this was fine. You then dragged things out for about a week from the last week of November, taking documents and running checks, only to suddenly claim at the end that “the landlord doesn’t accept a guarantor.” That guarantor requirement was on the original form you sent to the landlord, she accepted the offer on that basis, and I even asked again and you confirmed it was okay. Hiding behind “duty of care” after wasting our time and blocking us from renting elsewhere is completely unprofessional and unacceptable.

It certainly wasn't the most straightforward sale and purchase, with plenty of challenges along the way, but from start to finish the whole team was professional, knowledgeable and incredibly supportive.
A special thank you has to go to Aaron, who was our main point of contact throughout. He was absolutely outstanding.
His communication was excellent, he was always available to answer our questions, he kept us updated every step of the way and was proactive in chasing things whenever progress stalled. Nothing ever seemed too much trouble, and his calm, reassuring approach made a huge difference during what could have been a very stressful process.
We are absolutely delighted with our new home and so grateful for everything Aaron and the team did to help us get here. We wouldn't hesitate to recommend them to anyone looking to buy or sell a property.

Matthew really took the time to understand what we were looking for and showed us properties that were genuinely well-matched to our needs. When our survey turned up some minor issues, he handled the price renegotiation efficiently and got us a fair outcome.
Wendy was excellent on sales progression — the seller was chain-free and wanted to move fast, and with both sides travelling over the summer holidays, timing could easily have gone wrong. She kept everything moving regardless, and we exchanged and completed in under six weeks.
Highly recommend Matthew, Wendy, and the team at Gibson Lane - Ham.

14th Oct 2026 (24 days ago)Really an Outstanding Estate Agent - Particularly the "dream" team of Alan, Simon and John - they were all able to handle any query or issue I had along the way immediately and gave excellent advise - If I was them I would have got fed up of me turning up every couple of days to their office to check progress but they always answered and dealt with any issue I had very professionally and in a friendly and approachable manner - When they were talking to potential Buyers and Other Solicitors they really did have my interests as a priority - Can't recommend them enough, you really need to use this Agent if you are Selling you house in the Chessington area
