It was a very difficult purchase for Shari as the Vendor was very emotional about if he really did want to sell or not. Shari work so hard to balance emotions with the Vendor and me on the other side. She always kept in touch to let me know where it was up to all the way through. Great Credit to Jackson Stops.

I was initially very dubious about renting a property but after speaking to Sian, Kaitlyn & Owen of the Maghull branch I was soon put at ease. They explained everything in great detail to me and my family.- 17th Mar 2026 (16 days ago)Stephen and his team in the Crosby branch were really helpful and couldn’t fault them throughout the sale of our property. I would have no problem recommending the Crosby branch to sell or buy through. However… be warned that if you do use Entwistle Green they charge a seemingly extortionate inflated AML fee, well above what is charged by others such as solicitors to carry out these AML checks.
20th Mar 2026 (13 days ago)Ball and Percival have proven to be excellent so far in my sale and purchase ,a lovely Lady that has particularly gone over and beyond helping me with the two viewings on the property I’m purchasing is Becky as absolutely nothing was to much trouble ,full of information and amazingly positive attitude,gave me the time l needed and plenty of ideas for the house . Thankyou to everyone at Ainsdale but especially Becky a credit to the company. Diane Greenwood

She was professional, supportive, and kept us informed every step of the way. Her communication was excellent, and she managed any issues calmly and efficiently. We always felt she had our best interests at heart and worked hard to achieve the best outcome. We’re very grateful for her help and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend her to anyone selling a property.
12th Apr 2024 (1 year ago)As always Angela herself and staff are always helpful,thankyou,gone down hill,lost sale then told more or less my fault,to take the offer as they wouldnt show anyone else around during covid.Plus they wouldnt show anyone else around after the only offer was 15k less than the asking price Helen took it off market.when asked what do i want to do! Went on mkt in april,only put onto angelas site in july then only went on rightmove in AugustNow enquiring about rented and i nvr get told what houses they have to let yet told id be told by collete.just missed two now 12 th april,rang last week about parr lane my old house and walmer bridge and no one ever rung back as Collette promised

Firstly the way that Charlotte dealt with our negotiations over the purchase were 1st rate and Katy for helping keep our spirits up when manoeuvring through the constantly changing housing market after 2 failed sales. These guys will tell you everything you want to here to get the keys in your hands, once they are, they no doubt start laughing, everything we where told about the property we've taken and the landlord is an absolute farce, I've had 17 landlords in my life, this current one is by far the worst, and the property the 2nd worst, although at least in the worst one I could reach the property manager to get work done and have no issues paying rent, everything with the current landlord is an impossibility, and W&E reckon she's and I quote 'very friendly and always willing to help, she'll always respond', they must know a different landlord, because they sure as hell aren't talking about this one.

From the early excitement to the wobbles, the setbacks, and the moments where we weren’t sure which way things would go, she was always there: calm, honest, and completely in our corner. What sets Laura apart is that she tells you the truth, even when it’s not what you want to hear — but she does it with such warmth and tact that you come away feeling reassured rather than deflated. There were moments she was less estate agent, more agony aunt, and we genuinely couldn’t have asked for more. She listened, she guided, she kept us grounded, and she never made us feel like just another sale on her books. If you’re selling through Northwall, you’re in brilliant hands with Laura. We can’t recommend her highly enough.- 31st Mar 2026 (2 days ago)I first approached David Davies in August 2022, when they let my property on my behalf after my employers sent me on an overseas contract at short notice. They were completely transparent with the whole process and their fully managed system left me not having to worry about my property. The tenants they found were amazing and looked after the property. They dealt with all of the legal requirements for letting; (I'd never let a property before!!) and they kept me up to date with everything. They did such a good job that when my situation changed earlier this year and I decided to sell the property, I chose them for this task too. They provided me with a first-class service and genuinely got me a higher sale price than I'd hoped for the property. What impressed me greatly was their response times to emails; even when the person that I'd emailed was out of office. (I've dealt with many organisations where you can be waiting ages for a reply!!). Someone would always pick it up and I'd get a reply extremely quickly. To Laura, Ben, Lorraine, Georgia and team; thank you very much. You're all amazing!! I'd highly recommend the David Davies team for anything property related in the area.
15th Jul 2025 (8 mo. ago)Overpromised, Underperformed and Untrustworthy – My Costly Mistake with HSD I initially listed my property with PurpleBricks in March 2025 for £535,000. After limited viewings over a three-month period, I began exploring other options and submitted an enquiry to WeBuyAnyHouse. They quickly came back with an offer of £460,000—roughly 14% below asking—claiming it would allow for a quick sale. I immediately declined, as I was not in a rush and didn’t want to take such a significant loss. Shortly after, my details were apparently passed on to House Sales Direct (HSD), seemingly a sister company, without my explicit consent. HSD came across as professional and engaging at first. They promised a 98% success rate in selling properties within 28 days, citing a strong network of pre-approved buyers and investors who could complete within 6–8 weeks. They suggested a sale price spread of £510k–£535k, assuring me they would work to get me the best price possible. It sounded promising. Based on these assurances, I decided to proceed with HSD. I withdrew my PurpleBricks listing—costing me £300—with the understanding that HSD’s investor network would accelerate the sale. But things quickly began to unravel. Despite supposedly having investors lined up, HSD said they needed to relist my property on Rightmove first. When I questioned why investors couldn’t simply view the home, the response was vague. It took nearly two weeks for them to relist, and the new asking price was £525,000. A full week passed without any communication. Then came a call recommending the price be dropped to £499,000. I was told this was “just a marketing tactic,” and that they still aimed to get me a sale within the original £510k–£535k range. But I struggled to understand how listing a property nearly £40,000 lower would achieve that. I asked again about the investors. They finally admitted the only offer received was the same £460k I'd declined weeks earlier through WeBuyAnyHouse. This was when the red flags really began to show. Why wasn’t I told this upfront? Why present an optimistic price range if their investor offer was fixed at £460k from the beginning? Why was I encouraged to pull the property from PurpleBricks if they intended to rely on the open market anyway? I could have just reduced the price there and avoided unnecessary costs and delays. Doing more research online, I found stories from others with eerily similar experiences. It appeared HSD’s real model was to attract sellers with high expectations and then drop the price, relying on open-market tactics to force a quick sale. Despite claiming not to charge commission, they would never clearly explain how they made their money. It seems they may be negotiating higher prices with buyers while offering sellers less—profiting off the gap. No transparency, no trust. Meanwhile, they knew I was paying a high mortgage on an empty property. It became clear they were hoping I’d become desperate enough to accept the same low £460k offer I had already rejected twice. In the four weeks my property was listed with them, only four viewings were arranged. Two were no-shows. Of the remaining two, one viewer stayed for just five minutes—asked no questions and didn’t even view all the rooms. It felt performative, not serious. As expected, neither viewer submitted an offer, despite supposedly being “pre-qualified and keen.” Eventually, I told HSD I wanted to withdraw the property. That’s when I was informed—shockingly—that I had unknowingly signed up for a 52-week contract, and I’d need to pay £1,500 to exit, or £999 if paid within 7 days. I wrote to them, acknowledged that they had done some work, and offered a reasonable £699 exit fee, explaining I needed to rent the home out due to financial strain. They refused and insisted on full payment. I paid the £999 immediately—but it still took a full week and several chasers before they finally removed the property from Rightmove. By the end of the ordeal, it was clear I was no longer a priority for them. In summary: Do I regret choosing HSD? Absolutely. Would I recommend them to someone looking for a fair, transparent, and professional house sale experience? No. If your only goal is to sell quickly and you don’t care about value, they might work for you. But if you want to sell your home at a decent price with a partner you can trust, I strongly advise staying away from HSD.

20th Mar 2026 (13 days ago)I had such an awful experience with the most rudest person I have ever come across in 57 years on this earth! This ‘estate agent’ answered the phone to me today. Whoever she was definitely should not be dealing with the public who advertise properties for sale. Never come across anyone so rude when I showed an interest in a property they have for sale. As soon as informed her I was a cash buyer her demeanour totally changed and became nice as pie! Be 100% vigilant!
