Lewis was always quick to respond to emails and kept me updated at every point of the process. Lewis went beyond in many ways - offering helpful recommendations and I felt fully supported throughout the whole process as a first-time buyer. I would definitely recommend John D Wood & Co.

Throughout those years, Jade has always been very patient with our queries and always speedy and productive with answers. She was also extremely helpful when our first tenancy ended unexpectedly when our Landlord wanted to sell. She found us a flat in the building next door and we got to move without any fuss at all. Saving what could have been a very stressful event. Very much appreciated all her help.

26th Aug 2023 (2 years ago)From the start communication was good and emails and phone calls were always responded to quickly. Rebecca was a very effective go between between buyer and seller and worked professionally.
17th May 2024 (2 years ago)I purchased my first flat through KFH. They were very efficient and responsive during this process, and guided me well. However, apart from these, my experience was not at all positive. It became evident very quickly that they were working solely for the benefit of the seller. Little to none was done to take into account what would work for me, both mortgage-wise, and in terms of discussing exchange/completion dates - it was always a matter of doing what the seller wanted. There were also a few events of miscommunication/incorrect information which resulted into me losing some money. I do acknowledge that they were dealing with a particularly demanding seller, but in my opinion, what makes a good agent (or rather a good employee in general), is their ability to deal with difficult, non-trivial situations. I would not recommend KFH as a buyer.

I am grateful for all the help.- 7th Apr 2026 (10 weeks ago)Imagine being so unprofessional that you schedule a viewing, talk so highly about your agency and then be extremely lame enough to not show up for the viewing. I had the absolute displeasure to deal with James Setright who scheduled a viewing and then forgot to show up at 308, Garratt Lane address at the time of the viewing. My partner travelled an hour to reach the address and then viola, nobody shows up, I call up and James picks up and tells me that there’s nothing he could do and the best he could do is to schedule it for another day. Whilst being civil and acting like he cared, there was absolutely no other alternative offered. I just feel sorry for the seller here, since they should pick up someone more professional and reasonable to deal with. To anyone at John D Wood who’s the owner, it’s not only hard to schedule viewings and reach your staff but they are just incredibly bad to deal with and make basic errors that are just blasphemous for. The nature of the business.

It's been more than 6 years. They helped find a tenant (a small family), who are still there. They proactively sorted out issues whether they were related to local council, maintenance or services. For someone like me so far away, this is more than assuring. Particular mention to Aziz Khan for his outreach and accessibility and to Billy for his hands on operations. Thank you so much.
