4th Oct 2026 (28 days ago)Extremely disappointing experience with Samuel Estates – Colliers Wood<br><br>I rented a property through Samuel Estates, with Jade as our property manager. At the beginning of the tenancy, she came across as very friendly and helpful. However, when it came to the termination of our tenancy, it became extremely difficult to get in touch with her. Calls were often answered by different members of staff, and getting a clear response or resolution became incredibly frustrating.<br><br>The property itself was in a very poor condition. We were paying a significant amount of rent for what was, in my experience, a substandard property, including issues with mice and holes in the flat. For the amount of money we were paying, the overall standard was simply unacceptable.<br><br>The biggest issue came at the end of the tenancy when there was a dispute over our deposit. The agency initially refused to return our deposit, and we had to take the matter through TDS (Tenancy Deposit Scheme) to fight for what we believed we were entitled to. We eventually managed to recover the deposit through the dispute process.<br><br>Overall, this was a very frustrating and disappointing experience. Based on my personal experience, I would strongly advise prospective tenants to do thorough research before renting through Samuel Estates, particularly regarding the condition of the property, communication during the tenancy, and how the deposit will be handled at the end.<br><br>I would not personally use this letting agency again.

26th Aug 2023 (3 years ago)From the start communication was good and emails and phone calls were always responded to quickly. Rebecca was a very effective go between between buyer and seller and worked professionally.
17th May 2024 (2 years ago)I purchased my first flat through KFH. They were very efficient and responsive during this process, and guided me well. However, apart from these, my experience was not at all positive. It became evident very quickly that they were working solely for the benefit of the seller. Little to none was done to take into account what would work for me, both mortgage-wise, and in terms of discussing exchange/completion dates - it was always a matter of doing what the seller wanted. There were also a few events of miscommunication/incorrect information which resulted into me losing some money. I do acknowledge that they were dealing with a particularly demanding seller, but in my opinion, what makes a good agent (or rather a good employee in general), is their ability to deal with difficult, non-trivial situations. 2nd Oct 2026 (30 days ago)Absolutely appalling experience. I called earlier today specifically to confirm that the viewing was still going ahead, and I was told that it was. I left work and travelled 40 minutes to get to the property, only to receive a message five minutes before the viewing informing me that it had been cancelled.<br><br>When I called to ask what had happened, I was told that the landlord had already accepted an offer and that they had apparently known about this for an hour. Yet, nobody bothered to inform me, despite having my contact details and having confirmed the viewing earlier that same day.<br><br>This is an unacceptable level of unprofessionalism and a complete disregard for people’s time. Leaving work and travelling 40 minutes for absolutely nothing, when a simple phone call or message could have prevented it, is incredibly frustrating.<br><br>Based on this experience, I would not trust this agency to handle my time or my property search professionally. The lack of communication and basic courtesy is disgraceful.
16th Sep 2026 (7 weeks ago)I recently had the pleasure of working with James Hallam at Maalems to list and sell my flat in Earlsfield.<br><br>Living overseas, I expected the process might be a little more challenging, but I needn’t have worried. James carefully arranged and oversaw all the repairs and preparation needed before putting the flat on the market, and he was always readily available to explain the many steps along the way.<br><br>As issues arose during the sale process, as they inevitably do, James was always there to guide me on how best to proceed. His reassuring and positive attitude, along with his calm and professional manner, made what could have been a stressful process much easier.<br><br>It is clear that James has extensive experience in the Earlsfield property market, and I would have no hesitation in highly recommending him to anyone looking to sell a property in the area.<br><br>I’m extremely grateful for all his help and support throughout the process.

Their professionalism, combined with a genuinely friendly and approachable manner, made the entire experience seamless from start to finish.We viewed a flat we loved and put in an offer straight away.<br><br>Throughout the process, Maj was honest, transparent, and incredibly responsive. Communication was always timely, clear, and easy to understand, which made what can often be a stressful process feel effortless.We have previously dealt with larger estate agencies with multiple offices, but you simply do not get the same level of personal service and attention.<br><br>The difference was remarkable.As a landlord myself, I only wish I had someone like Maj managing my own rental property. We had other work going on but she was very understanding and patient.<br>Yvette Was meant to be away the following week but made sure we got the appraisal before she went away.<br>Really admire her professionalism.<br>Also thanks to Emma at the office.<br>I highly recommend Barnard Marcus for all letting and sales and also Yvette she is so unlike an estate agent which is quiet refreshing to say the least.
