4th Sep 2026 (8 weeks ago)I’m very disappointed with the way your agency has handled my valuation appointment.<br><br>I originally contacted you to arrange a valuation of my flat, and we agreed on a date. On the morning of the appointment, I was contacted and told that the person coming to see the property was sick. I completely understand that these things can happen, so I was happy to rearrange the appointment.<br><br>We then agreed on another date, and once again, on the actual day of the appointment after a week , I was contacted and told that the person was sick again.<br><br>I’m sorry, but at this point I find the situation extremely unprofessional. I specifically changed my day off and made arrangements to be at home on both occasions, only to be cancelled on the day each time.<br><br>I understand that people can become unwell, but cancelling twice on the day of the appointment, after I have rearranged my own schedule to accommodate you, is very disappointing and shows very little consideration for my time.<br><br>Unfortunately, this experience has left me questioning the level of professionalism and organisation within your agency.- 9th Oct 2026 (23 days ago)Unfortunately, I had a very poor experience with Acorn, largely due to their communication and lack of professionalism.<br><br>When my sale fell through, all I received was an email, with a letter attachment that wasn’t even addressed to my name… I called them to clarify, which took at least two days to get an answer, and I was initially told that the email should have never been sent and that this wasn’t actually the case. However, they later confirmed that it was the case after all. There was constant mixed messaging, and the whole situation was just an absolute mess. I could never get through to them, and neither could my solicitors.<br><br>Whenever I tried to put my point across, I was met with defensiveness rather than a professional response.<br><br>Additionally, whenever someone handling my case was off, it felt as though my case would be forgotten about until they returned, and I would have to chase for an update myself. There was very little proactive communication.<br><br>Overall, the experience for me was just frustrating and incredibly unprofessional.

10th Oct 2026 (22 days ago)Unfortunately, a very disappointing experience with Hamptons Tower Bridge, particularly during the final few months of our tenancy.<br><br>After nearly four years as reliable tenants, I felt there was very little consideration for the fact that this was our home. Communication from Scott was often rude, abrasive and lacking in empathy, particularly when discussing a potential tenancy renewal.<br><br>The move-out process was equally disappointing. There was little guidance around checkout expectations, which I believe contributed to avoidable deductions from our deposit. We also received repeated requests for same-day property viewings, despite our tenancy agreement requiring 24 hours’ notice.<br><br>Moving home is already stressful and expensive, and I expected much better from an established lettings agency. Our landlord was always fair and reasonable, but unfortunately I cannot say the same for our experience with Hamptons.<br><br>I hope this feedback is taken seriously and helps improve the experience for future tenants. I certainly wouldn’t choose to use Hamptons again.

He kept in regular contact with both solicitors, ensured everyone was kept up to date, and helped the transaction progress smoothly. I highly recommend Toby and John Payne!

Matteo has been a great help, very responsive to emails and calls and even managed to assist with last minute emergencies which the buyer placed upon us in the last minute/days, but chaos was averted, thanks to matteo, professional, efficient and reliable. Out of the two properties I viewed, one had candles lit in everywhere while the other had none. Furthermore, when I requested a detailed breakdown of the EPC report, they simply handed me a printed copy of the online brochure I had already seen.

The team kept in touch regularly, were always available to answer questions, and did a great job chasing slow solicitors to keep things moving.<br><br>A special thank you to Aziza, who was brilliant throughout the whole process. Thomas Kenny was professional, friendly and easy to communicate with throughout the process. He was very adaptable to what we needed to happen at different points throughout the purchase and we felt supported throughout, which made it feel much less stressful!

He was punctual, professional, friendly and incredibly reassuring throughout the viewings. Junior took the time to explain the current market situation clearly and honestly, which I found extremely helpful. He was well prepared, supportive, understanding, and always happy to answer my questions. His knowledge, professionalism, and approachable manner really made a difference and made the whole experience much less stressful. Thank you, Junior, for all your help and support – it was truly appreciated!
19th Aug 2026 (11 weeks ago)Huge thanks to Banji, he was brilliant, genuinely helpful, and even stayed late past 5 PM so I could get my keys and not be left stranded. He is the sole reason this isn't a 1-star review.<br>The agency itself is completely disjointed. Communication between departments is a mess, emails and calls are routinely ignored, and their reliance on third-party agencies makes simple tasks needlessly complicated. Internal miscommunication delayed my agreed move-in date by five days, leaving me to figure things out entirely on my own.<br>The absurdity peaked on move-in day. I pointed out an error in the initial draft which was completely ignored, forcing me to flag the exact same mistake after the document had already gone out for signatures. They retracted the contract on the morning of my move, didn't re-issue it until 3:30 PM, and then expected me to rush down to collect keys before their 5:00 PM close.<br>?Banji deserves all the credit for customer service, but management desperately needs to fix their internal communication and workflow.<br>All in all, not bad but not good either.<br>All the best.- 2nd Oct 2026 (30 days ago)We had a fantastic experience selling our flat with John Payne, and in particular with Godefroy. From the very beginning right through to completion, he was incredibly proactive, responsive and genuinely on top of every detail.<br><br>Our sale wasn’t always completely straightforward, but Godefroy worked tirelessly to keep everything moving, regularly chasing all parties, keeping us updated and helping navigate any issues as they arose. We always felt that he was fully invested in getting the sale across the line.<br><br>He was professional, reassuring and a pleasure to deal with throughout. We’re extremely grateful for all his hard work and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Godefroy and the John Payne team to anyone looking to sell their property.

Highly competitive fee structure and much fairer than I saw with other companies. 27th Oct 2026 (5 days ago)We rented our property through this agency for around five years, and we honestly had a great experience from start to finish.<br><br>A special mention to Paula, our property manager, who was always so helpful, friendly and professional. Whenever we had any questions or needed something sorted, Paula was always there to help and made everything so easy for us.<br><br>In five years, we never had any major issues, and we always felt that our property and our concerns were being looked after properly. It’s not often you find an estate agent where you can have that kind of relationship and trust.<br><br>Big thank you to Paula and Toby for all their support over the years!
