4th Mar 2026 (12 weeks ago)I dosing sell my property but pulled it from the market. A) because the market was very competitive B) I was having a horrible experience with JA. Their branch manager acted very unprofessionally, agreed to terms and then just ignored them. Their overall communication and insights were very poor. They also acted without my best interest in mind. Horrible experience overall.
22nd Apr 2026 (5 weeks ago)We had a really stressful experience with Mervyn Smith. We know the Ham area well and were shocked from the start due to their dishonesty re aeroplane noise, social housing and traffic congestion. They were very restrictive with property viewing times - telling us we had 10 minutes max, even after we had an offer accepted. They put huge pressure on us in terms of our offer, making us compete really hard and being very relentless - even near completion, they were trying to get us to up our offer by telling us there was someone younger, more ready to move and offering 10k more trying to get the property - something which we found out was 100% fictional. While estate agents have a bad reputation in general, we found Joe took this to an extreme. The entire process was unpleasant and caused enormous, unnecessary anxiety. It turned a simple sale- and what should have been the exciting process - of buying a home into a horrible, exhausting experience. We have dealt with estate agents in other parts of London and not run into any of these issues.

The very kindly contacted the person in question, who in turn contacted me back. They didn't need to help, but they did so and I'm very grateful for that.
1st Apr 2026 (8 weeks ago)We recently purchased our new home via Bairstow Eves, the Kenley branch, and we can’t speak highly enough of Maxine and the team who oversaw all aspects of our purchase. From the initial viewing all the way through to collecting the keys Maxine was on hand to support us, always contactable and kept us updated throughout. During what was a stressful time for us, we really appreciated the level of service we received and wouldn’t hesitate in recommending this branch to anyone who is thinking of buying or selling. A big thank you to the assigned estate agent, Izzy Blatch, for the friendly induction and swift paperwork. Everything was as smooth as it could get, both when settling in and when vacating the property.

15th Dec 2025 (23 weeks ago)We rented a flat in Greenwich via Daniel Watney for the past year and a half, before we relocated to the other side of London. I would not hesitate to rent from them again. The team were friendly and attentive, and the few repairs we needed during our time there were fixed very quickly. The end of tenancy process was smooth. They let us break out of our tenancy 3 weeks early, and we received our full deposit back too. Would recommend them!

18th May 2026 (6 days ago)A few days ago, our key fell into the lift shaft on a Sunday. Concierge was supposed to have a duplicate key, but the agency had failed to provide an updated copy after the lock was changed before we moved in. We were in direct contact with our agent, Rebecca, who knew we were locked out with a sleepy 2-year-old child and advised us to call a locksmith because nobody at the agency was available on Sunday. We had no real choice. The locksmith changed the lock and charged us £1,250. Now the agency (Naomi) refuses reimbursement, claiming we didn’t use the “correct emergency channels” — despite already knowing about the emergency and despite the situation being caused by their own failure to provide updated keys. Completely unacceptable lack of responsibility and empathy.

He always came across as friendly, competent and proactive. The process of selling our old house / buying our new house was not straightforward but throughout it all he was always patient and kept at it, showing a genuine interest in his work and a positive attitude. My experience with Ashley and Marriott Vernon was by far the best experience I've had with an estate agent and I would happily recommend them.
