She clearly knew the market and the area to give us the best guidance to put in a successful offer on our new home. The building site was very restricted for additional viewings, but Emma was very cooperative for us to gain access, and for trades to arrange dates with her to measure up. Invaluable for us to have a successful and easy move. Thank you Emma, you really did make the difference to our purchase.

They are still the same bunch of people who will try to rip you off on every single occasion. Please avoid at all cost. There are plenty good agencies out there

19th Apr 2024 (8 days ago)I signed up with Michaels to sell my home. Initially, during the valuation and walk through, they presented well and gave a good pitch which I felt fitted in with my needs. However, the promises and standards fell short of the expectations set. On the day that the pictures were due to be taken, 20 mins before arrival, the branch manager cancelled as he felt unwell. There was little understanding from them that I had been prepping the house to make it look the best it could and spent all morning cleaning. To suddenly be let down with minimal notice was poor and despite claiming to be very ill, turned up the following day right as rain. The first issues should have been an indication as to how it would have gone but I chose to give then the benefit of doubt and work with them. However, there were still issues, such as having to chase for the EPC and floor plan to be uploaded to the advert which took three weeks after launch and a couple of viewings where the buyers seemed to know little about the property. A few times they had called me to arrange a viewing, we discussed and then would never call me back to confirm the outcome. Again, it just shows a lack of engagement from them. Michaels seemed great but for me and on this occasion, fell short of my expectations and the mandate that they were trying to deliver on.

They were beyond understanding and accommodating when things went wrong multiple times and didn't end up getting to view the place before moving in, but I really felt like their work ensured that I wasn't getting any less in terms of service. Thank you especially to Samantha who was so kind and waited for me to get my cat up to Colchester by train after my movers let me down twice. She is such a kind, lovely person to have been in contact with for this, and I wish her all the best!

Charlie Coe organised a van and he and Luke came to my house to collect the items. It was not a straightforward collection and involved Charlie and Luke having to dismantle some items. They did this willingly and successfully. I was impressed by their dedication to doing the job to the best of their ability; in fact they went beyond what I had expected of them. Thank you Charlie and Luke.

He has been fantastic from the very start and he has always gone above and beyond for us. Really friendly, helpful and professional, a pleasure to deal with. Much more personal and trustworthy approach than other larger estate agents. I highly recommend them and would definitely buy or sell with them again.

The lettings staff I spoke to was completely disinterested in helping, when I mentioned I wanted to cancel a viewing I had booked due to finding another property with many more desired amenities for the same cost. The lettings agent became defensive and hostile, rather than promoting other properties available to let, which I only found out after pressing. I mentioned some of my personal information and she literally said she didn't care because she had other viewings, at which point I promptly said how unprofessional and ridiculous the attitude was and bit her good day. I am glad to not be working with a company like this, and putting my trust in people that, for lack of a better description, could not care less.
