Dealing extensively with the Brookmans Park office the whole team was always responsive and insightful - particular shout out to Nicola - the branch manager. Attentive and informed - I'm almost sorry to see the transaction complete. Not all agents in Brookmans Park are equal - choose wisely if you want a stress-free process.
10th Jun 2026 (21 weeks ago)Our experience with HomeLink has been extremely negative.<br><br>We returned the keys on 14 May 2026 and recorded a video at the time of handover as evidence. Despite this, we were later told that the keys had only been returned on 2 June 2026. We have evidence showing otherwise.<br><br>When we rented the property, we were informed by Zach that there were no damp or mould issues. However, during our tenancy we experienced significant damp, mould and moisture problems throughout the property, particularly during the winter months. My wife and child developed asthma-related health problems, and we have supporting medical evidence.<br><br>We moved out on 30 April 2026 and were preparing to move into another property. During this process, HomeLink provided a negative reference, stating that rent payments had been late. We had already informed them in writing that my salary payment date had changed and requested that the payment date be adjusted accordingly. Despite this, the issue was not resolved.<br><br>HomeLink has withheld our £2,015 deposit and has attempted to charge rent for a period when we were no longer living in the property. We have written communications showing that we informed the agency in advance about leaving the property.<br><br>We feel that we were treated unfairly throughout this process. We have retained emails, messages, video recordings and other evidence and have started legal proceedings regarding these matters.<br><br>Potential tenants should carefully document all communications and thoroughly inspect any property for damp and mould issues before signing a tenancy agreement.
10th Feb 2022 (4 years ago)Poor service - initial queries were ignored and and I was stood up once I’d finally arranged a viewing, as the agent hadn’t bothered to let me know that the let to the property was already agreed. Do not waste your time on them.

Chris demonstrated a strong knowledge of the local market and took the time to understand my requirements. He ensured our viewers were serious, arranged most viewings while we were on holiday to minimise disruption, and we received 2 offers within a week, one of which we accepted. Matthew ensured that all buyer enquiries were dealt with and that there was a good flow of information and communication, and seamlessly helped guide us through some of the usual challenges, difficulties and uncertainties along the way. From the time we went to market to the time we exchanged was about 12 weeks, and Matthew's expert navigation and guidance were key to everything going smoothly for us and our buyers. (July -Oct 2026). We used WhatsApp for instant messaging and real-time updates, which worked really well for me. He always got in touch when he said he would and delivered on his commitments. We always had his attention when we needed it, which supported continuity and consistency; he always had time for us and any queries we had. His highly personalised service meant we felt valued and were treated with respect and understanding throughout. Barrons sold us the house when we bought it, and we didn't hesitate to approach them again when we came to sell it. Barron's fees are very reasonable and highly competitive, and the service is outstanding; Matthew goes above and beyond to make sure we were looked after, and our buyers felt positive and confident. You will not go wrong with Barrons, and I can't recommend them highly enough!.

From start to finish, the service was exceptional, and the sale of my flat was handled with professionalism, care, and genuine commitment. A special mention has to go to Nick, who truly went above and beyond at every stage of the process. He was proactive, responsive, and always willing to take the time to explain things clearly and keep me updated. Nothing ever felt like too much trouble, and his dedication made what can often be a stressful experience feel smooth and reassuring.
20th Oct 2025 (1 year ago)When I enquired about a property’s asking price and the seller’s position, I was met with terse, dismissive replies from the female agent I spoke to on the phone - a remarkably unhelpful attitude towards a serious buyer. I decided to proceed with the viewing regardless, but communication remained poor throughout. Afterwards, I submitted a formal offer, which was completely ignored. I never received any confirmation or follow-up, and it appeared my offer may not even have been passed to the vendors - which, if true, would be a breach of legal duty. The overall experience suggested a lack of basic organisation, professionalism, and integrity. For sellers, that should be alarming; for buyers, it’s simply exasperating. I would strongly advise caution when dealing with this agency.

She went above and beyond to do everything possible to help us secure the house we really wanted, and thanks to her hard work and dedication, we got the house we wanted which we are genuinely so happy and excited about!<br><br>What really stood out was how kind, approachable and supportive Kerry was throughout. 21st Oct 2026 (11 days ago)Following a long standing rental lease Hobdays were quick into action to upgrade my Flat and find a new tenant. This required extensive planning, time sensitivity and much communication. Hobdays were always readily available and extremely personable in their approach to me. All the more important as I am located in Scotland.<br>The project was complex and needed day by day planning to ensure the property was was turned around in a timely fashion. All dates were completed to the day including the completion date and new tennant's moving in. I cannot speak highly enough of the thorough manner each of the lovely staff interacted with each other and myself in achieving this objective.<br>You Ladies and guys at( Hobdays) have been fantastic and I would 100% recommend anyone to engage them for all matters Rental & Real Estate.<br>Funny enough I purchased the property Hobday's in 1993....good friends for a long time now. Staff at Chas Lowe have been so helpful and supportive, answering my questions (lots of them), and reassuring me throughout the whole process. David was absolutely fantastic, start to finish, and I’m so grateful for all the help, advice and guidance I received. Would absolutely recommend Chas Lowe to anybody.

We would not hesitate to recommend Lowther Estate Agents to anyone.<br>We have had to work with 4 estate agents over the last 2 years for various reasons and Lowthers were by far the best. Richard was our agent and point of contact right throughout the process, for both our purchase and our sale. He was exceptional - and everything we wanted from our agent. He was available, accessible, down to earth, accommodating with requests, never pushy - and he supplied regular communications and updates. He understood that the move was a major life event for us and he managed the whole process calmly and professionally, chasing where necessary and advising as required. Queries were answered very promptly, every time, via phone call or WhatsApp.<br>Our experience was that as a small family run business, Lowther Estate Agents were far better equipped than the bigger chains to give us the time and personal service we wanted, with Richard and Toni-Ann working together to manage the whole process. We cannot speak highly enough of the service we received.<br><br>We had thought that all estate agents were pretty much the same. They are not!
