Emily and Ellie were especially a pleasure to work with: they both provided us with a really smooth and efficient service from passing on our initial offer, through property viewing, referencing to contract signing and handing us the keys to our lovely new home. They even surprised us with a personalised Home Move Box, which was such a nice touch and made us feel so welcome. I and my husband can only recommend Emily, Ellie and their Lettings Team to other prospective lettings customers looking for a great service. I would also like to give a big shout out for Gemma for her amazingly efficient and expert mortgage advice and matching us with the best mortgage lenders. I can’t thank everyone at Brown&Merry Tring enough for taking property matters to the next level.

Searching for a new home is even more stressful…<br><br>Last year, while searching for a new home in the Cotswolds, we had the good fortune to meet Tanya Hall from Carter Jonas Oxford. As well as having an incredible ability to showcase special properties, she is a master in the art of matchmaking tenants to landlords. She innately understands that for certain properties it is all about the relationship rather than simply getting a “deal” done.<br><br>Tanya was remarkably thoughtful and adept at helping us get to know our landlord and her team during the vetting phase. She was clear, transparent and always available to guide us through the process. At every point of the negotiation we felt heard and understood by Tanya.<br><br>Now almost a year into our tenancy, we could not be happier with our decision and as a distinct bonus, our landlords have become dear friends.<br><br>We could not be more thrilled with Tanya’s level of service. We would recommend her highly to anyone looking for a new dream home in the Cotswolds.

From the off the team were efficient and gained multiple viewings and subsequent offers, resulting in a fast sale. Their communication was great throughout and the sale went through seamlessly. Wouldn’t hesitate to recommend.

16th Oct 2026 (17 days ago)Very helpful team! Just finalised the process of leasing a flat with Space lettings in St. Albans. Especially grateful to Samantha for her helping getting through putting in an offer, going through referencing and finally signing the lease. She has been quite helpful in getting my requests through to the landlord for things like fixing some small faults and getting additional cleaning. She is a very kind and helpful person. Also thanks to Renata who showed me the flat at my first viewing and picked up on some issues that needed sorting by the landlord like a drippy tap and some loose drawers. She went to communicate these to the landlord and they were sorted by my second visit. Overall very happy with the team :)

The whole way through Zoe kept us updated and was always checking in, we have not had this experience with other estate agents. We will 100% be using Tim Russ Wendover again.
28th Sep 2026 (5 weeks ago)?????<br><br>We have had an excellent experience with Mandy and Julie at Hadlands and have been genuinely impressed by the level of service we received throughout our property search and application process.<br><br>From the outset, Mandy was extremely helpful, professional and approachable. She kept us well informed, responded promptly to our questions, and took the time to explain the process clearly whenever we needed clarification. We particularly appreciated how accommodating and attentive she was when dealing with our application and the supporting information we provided.<br><br>Julie was equally helpful and professional. Her communication was clear, thoughtful and reassuring, and she took the time to answer our questions thoroughly and make sure we understood the next steps in the process.<br><br>Finding and applying for a new home can be a stressful experience, but Mandy and Julie made the whole process feel organised, straightforward and personal. We always felt that our questions were taken seriously and that we were being kept properly informed rather than simply being treated as another application.<br><br>We are very grateful to both of them for their time, patience and excellent communication. 26th Oct 2026 (7 days ago)ABSOLUTELY AVOID THIS ESTATE AGENTS<br><br>Since informing them of our notice to terminate our tenancy until present day (approx. 10 months ago) Chancellors have been nothing but awful towards us.<br><br>We informed them we were moving out, which at some point ended with us being on the phone to them discussing the move out dates/ end of tenancy dates etc. We spoke with Orianne, who over the phone informed us that we could move out on X date which was approx. 14 days prior to our official ‘end of tenancy’ date and that they were lining up a new tenant to move in also earlier than our official end of tenancy date which meant we wouldn’t have to pay the final 14 days worth of rent because the new tenants where essentially covering that with their new payment.<br><br>Of course this was discussed over the phone and silly us, didn’t get her to confirm it in writing via email.<br><br>Anyway, the early move out date arrives and we explain that we’ll drop the keys back to officially show we’ve moved out as per the telephone conversation. We were then told by someone else at chancellors that we will still be charged for the 14 days because that’s when our tenancy officially ends. Meanwhile we’ve already planned to begin our new tenancy elsewhere and therefore are paying all the related costs of that on our new property. Naturally, due to the previous telephone conversation we had created a budget EXCLUDING the 14 days rent because we’d been told we won’t need to pay that. Well of course we did need to pay that because of course our telephone conversation either didn’t happen or was just completely false and we were always going to need to pay regardless of what Orianne had told us.<br><br>Moving on, we reluctantly pay the amount due and continue the moving out process. Deep cleaning the property, handing back the keys etc etc. We moved out of the property on approximately 15/02/26 and one of chancellors staff comes out to inspect the property on 03/03/26. A whole 2 weeks later! Then has the audacity to mark us down and label things as ‘dusty’ and therefore needing a further clean. Putting the blame of ‘dusty’ onto us when you took too long to inspect the property is not our problem so the fact you’re trying to charge us £250 for that is inexplicable.<br><br>They also marked us down for ‘weeds’ in the garden. Which again they have posted pictures of in the report which don’t show any more weeds than were there when we moved into the property. It shows bushes in the garden. They’re also trying to charge us over £90 for that. Again, completely unreasonable and untrue and won’t provide us with any proof of these gardening costs. The pictures even show it to be untrue, yet their ‘internal adjudication’ showed the charges to be ‘fair and true’. The internal adjudication was just someone sending an email to a manager of their company who then replied saying ‘approved’. That was the entire ‘adjudication’. Truly laughable.<br><br>Upon receipt of these charges, we decided to phone Chancellors to try and resolve the issue like adults where we can fairly discuss the issues and come to a reasonable resolution. But of course that wasn’t the case because we were spoken to by Libby Giles who actually began shouting down the phone to my partner with a heap of attitude. So much so that my partner had to ask her the question of ‘why are you being so aggressive and could she please speak to her sensibly’.<br><br>The worst part is, I believe Libby is meant to be a manager of some description? Very interesting customer service approach I must say.<br><br>To date, we are still disputing this entire situation, especially after their ‘completely independent adjudication process’ only to be met with threats of legal action.<br><br>Truly a very stressful and awful experience.

He has always been happy to help with any questions, offer advice and provide support whenever needed. Nothing has ever been too much trouble, and his friendly, professional approach has made the whole experience so much easier. We couldn’t have asked for better service and would highly recommend Rob to anyone looking to sell their property.
