17th Dec 2025 (11 weeks ago)We are so glad we chose the Knight Frank team in Cobham to sell our house! Dan Miller was outstanding managing a tight timeline. He was communicative, proactive and highly professional, liaising closely with the buyers and all parties, to ensure everyone was aligned and working towards an agreed tight completion date, that was achieved before Christmas! Dan really made a difference in making this happen. Dans knowledge of the local market and ability to deal with any tricky situation gave us a lot of confidence. His calm and considered approach, in particular, made what can often be a stressful process feel easy and reassuring from start to finish.
19th Dec 2025 (11 weeks ago)We engaged Century 21 to sell a leasehold flat in Pimlico. There were some quite difficult aspects involved and these were handled professionally, as well as courteously, by Andrea Frigo, the lead conveyancer. The result was a successful sale, satisfactory to all parties. We would not hesitate for a second to use this company again or to recommend it to others.
13th Dec 2025 (12 weeks ago)I had a solid experience with Patrick Gardner, Ashtead. The sale required careful coordination between the buyer’s solicitor and the buyer’s broker, and the team managed that very well. Communications were clear and timely, explanations were straightforward, and when issues arose they worked hard to make sure everyone was kept updated, and the sale reached completion. Overall, a dependable, no?nonsense team—worth considering if you want agents who stay organised, explain the situation clearly, and see a sale through competently. 10th Jan 2026 (8 weeks ago)We’ve owned in Cobham most of the last 32 years, and whilst we’ve had spells overseas, Cobham, and our cottage, have been home for a long time. So deciding to sell was a really big step. There are a number of good well established Agents on the high street, but what really distinguished Curchods was their commitment to follow through on what they said; their understanding of the market; and having decided to sell ‘off market’ they really did have the contacts and network of buyer interest to be able to make the sale happen. Curchods have been in Cobham a long time, they were patient, understanding, and very professional…and Jemima Hogg particularly was super supportive and worked hard for us (and the buyer) to keep the sale moving to Completion. We’ve closed a chapter, and there’s much we’ll miss about Cobham, but we move on with great memories, and truly grateful to Curchods for making the whole selling process a smooth one. From using a range of agencies to find a new property I would put Esher Curchods heads above others for professionalism and contact, always keeping me up to date and helping with queries. 5th Jan 2026 (9 weeks ago)Maria at V&H has been fantastic for us from the very first meeting. Maria came to our home and helped us with a valuation before putting our property on the market, and then had it sold within a week. We were also looked after by Dawn at times and this is where we felt communication was not as good as it could have been. There were mixed messages sent to both us and our buyers which was very frustrating and the professionalism dropped off here. Maria has since taken over looking after us again and things have improved dramatically. As well as selling our property, we are also buying a new home via V&H and this js again being managed by Maria. Very happy with the service overall, thank you Maria!

This was our fourth move and, without doubt, the best experience we’ve had with an estate agent.<br><br>A special thanks to Georgina, who was friendly, proactive, and always kept us well informed. Her communication and persistence made what is usually a stressful process feel straightforward and well managed throughout both our sale and purchase.<br><br>We highly recommend Jackie Quinn Estate Agents to anyone looking to move.

Right from his initial appraisal he understood precisely what needed to be done and the timescale it needed doing in. He priced the property perfectly and marketed it impeccably. Nothing was ever too much trouble and his experience and expertise went over and above anything I expected. The team at Jackson-Stops arranged quality viewings and always gave prompt and honest feedback throughout the sales process. I would wholeheartedly recommend Jackson-Stops Dorking.- 6th Feb 2026 (29 days ago)Rented a property in Leatherhead and the process was professional, prompt and clear right from the start. Other estate agents in the area were slow to reply and not as efficient. I dealt with Jackie Boote and she was very helpful and friendly, explaining the procedure and next steps throughout. Very quick to reply and charming to deal with. The portals for paperwork etc are also very good. Highly recommended.

8th Feb 2026 (27 days ago)I felt the agent had a lack of knowledge and understanding of our local area, and was too focused on metrics rather than seeing the advantages of our particular property over some of the other properties around us. I felt there was too much pressure being put on us to drop our asking price after only a few weeks in.

31st Jan 2026 (5 weeks ago)Unfortunately, we had a very bad experience with this estate agent a couple of months ago. I’m only writing this review now because I wanted some time to cool down and move on properly after the experience. Jo Leaver was extremely pushy and made us feel pressured throughout the process, which took a lot of the excitement out of buying a home. If you’re planning to buy a property through them, I strongly recommend using your own solicitor and mortgage advisor. The ones they work with are clearly closely connected, and they share personal information from the mortgage advisor ( Mortgage Matters - Samantha Berryman) that supposed to be confidential and it felt like decisions were being made to suit their own interests rather than ours. They made us to pay for the searches, they reassured us nobody else was going to view the property. 4 days later they found an other buyer. The money went down the drain. It was very unethical but we understand it’s legal. From the buyers point of view she was one of the worst person to deal with. The whole experience was stressful and unpleasant. From moment one was no trust, Jo Leaver asked us to show the screen shots of the bank accounts. Luckily, we found another property, and got the keys today — a completely different and much better experience. I wanted to make sure we started our new home without any negative energy from the past situation. I would never recommend this estate agent.
27th Jan 2026 (6 weeks ago)We were really happy with the service provided by the Nicholls team and especially John who brilliantly conducted the sale process till the very end. We would certainly use Nicholls again as the guys were super friendly, knowledgeable, and willing to help at all times.
21st Feb 2026 (14 days ago)Very disappointing experience with this agency. Communication from their representative, Josh, was unnecessarily argumentative and lacked professionalism. Reasonable requests regarding suitable viewing times were inaccurately presented as a refusal. As a tenant, I remained cooperative, yet the tone and approach taken made the process stressful and uncomfortable. Professionalism and respectful communication should be standard practice in any property agency. Unfortunately, this was clearly lacking in this case. Josh fell significantly short of these standards. In contrast, my communication with Jena was professional, polite, and respectful. She arranged viewings appropriately and approached matters in a courteous manner, which made cooperation much easier. Professional and respectful communication makes a significant difference, and I hope this agency ensures consistency across its team.

His communication was always clear, and he kept us fully informed at every stage of the process. What really stood out was how supportive and approachable he was throughout the entire purchase. He was never pushy, always pleasant to deal with, and genuinely wanted to help. Even after the purchase, he has continued to be available whenever we’ve had questions, especially as we’re new to the area. His local knowledge has been invaluable. It was a genuine pleasure working with Mark, and we would highly recommend him!

Failure to Provide Documentation and Information • Tenant References & Guarantor Details: Despite repeated requests, they have failed to provide a copy of the tenant’s reference and full details regarding the guarantor. This is a fundamental failure of they vetting and reporting duties. • Prescribed Information (PI) & Deposit Certificate: they failed to serve the PI and Deposit Certificate on the tenant within the 30-day legal limit. 2. Invalid Section 21 Notice Due to they failure to provide the PI and protect the deposit correctly, to serve an up to date, How to Rent Guide, to serve a current gas certificate for 25/26 the Section 21 notice served on 15TH January was legally invalid. This negligence has delayed possession and resulted in unnecessary legal costs. 3. Poor Management and Financial Loss Mismanagement has resulted in expenses exceeding £12,000. Specifically, failure to carry out a check on the property, first check was carried out in November, the tenant moved in March. This constitutes a breach of their duty to act with "reasonable skill and care". Breach my insurance contract 4. Failure to attend to issues raised from the tenant As stated in the letter of the 18 December 2025 17:20 - I requested a list of the issues this was not forth coming - consequently the tenant has called in the environmental Health 5. Indemnity for Potential Tenant Claims As the landlord, I am legally liable for your failures regarding deposit protection. I hold them fully responsible for any compensation claims (up to 3x the deposit) the tenant may bring due to your non-compliance.

In these days of 'free' estate agents (where you have to do all the work and know all the tricks yourself), the more traditional form looks on paper to be stupidly expensive. However, it *is* worth it to avoid all the pitfalls of a difficult sale/purchase chain. Cedric (and Jack) at Whites were excellent in many ways and I would highly recommend them. It still took months (due to circumstances beyond their control further down the chain), but at least we didn't have to do it all ourselves - and they kept pushing until it was done.
