4th Oct 2023 (6 mo. ago)I advise everybody to avoid Carters Letting Agents and local Landlord William Bruce. This year I was seriously ill for six months, resulting in emergency surgery to save my life. During this time they issued me a section 21, and I moved into a new property the day after I was released from hospital afyer being there for 4 weeks, still with two surgical drains attached, and incredibly limited mobility. Being fully aware of this information they went after my deposit and have today been awarded just over 1000 pounds, after the section 21 cost me nearly 3 grand, and rinsed the rest of my savings. During the time I was in hospital they issued notice to my landlord without my consent and before my new property had been confirmed. I questioned this whilst I was in hospital and was told 'not to worry' despite this being a move that could have made me and my 15 year old son homeless, and given on a date that left me no time to have the property cleaned properly. They have made no allowances for my very serious illness desite being fully informed, and created extra stress and financial worry. In the meantime the house has been renovated for sale, and I believe my deposit is paying for that. Their behaviour towards me after 5 years of tenancy has been disgusting, and they have used my vunarability as a tool to extract more money. Apparently this landlord owns numbers of houses in wolverton. Beware.

1st Feb 2024 (12 weeks ago)Overall experience was great. Original valuation was quite over what I expected but the housing market near the end of 2023 was difficult to predict. Mo and Joe were both very supportive and had great communication in regards to the sale.
22nd Mar 2024 (5 weeks ago)After having problems elsewhere, we found Edward Percival who handled our remortgage and wow, what a difference! He is super professional, efficient and excels at ensuring you understand every part of the process. We were provided updates throughout as well as being updated with new rates as they dropped so we could get the best deal and save money, Edward really went above and beyond. Our new mortgage is now in place and the whole process was so simple and smooth since finding with Edward. Thank you for all your help and great service!

Advice given whenever asked for, and always replied to questions. Looked after all the house viewings, and followed up after each viewing. Once an offer was accepted Michael Graham then chased this through, with other Agents in the chain, solicitors and my buyer. They also helped with finding a solicitor and remover. Many thanks. Stuart
11th May 2023 (11 mo. ago)We have recently found a property to rent via Jackson Stops and the service we have received from Simon Roberts has been second to none, Simon is very professional and engaging. From the first meet, to the handling of paperwork, the process has been effortless and stress free, We have both struggled with estate agents in the past and dreaded the whole process, however Simon has been amazing and completely changed our perception, he carried out the whole process from start to finish in a professional, highly knowledgeable manner with nothing ever being too much to ask. Simon had vast knowledgeable on the property we were viewing and knew the local area very well. We thought that all of the marketing from Jackson Stops had been prepared to a very high standard and much better than anything else we had seen produced other agents. We didn’t feel rushed or pressured into making any decisions, we felt we had the perfect amount of time to view the house, think about the property & even go back for a second viewing without the worry of it being snatched away, Simon gave us the reassurance we needed. Every telephone call was answered by the team in the office, every message has been passed on and every phone call has been returned without fail, Simon kept us informed throughout the process answering our questions and queries efficiently and accurately. Would highly recommend Jackson Stops, and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Simon Roberts Harley & Paul.

Stuart was always on hand to answer any questions and help move things along when needed. The mortgage broker Kerrie was also very helpful and got us some great deals on mortgages and insurance, I did however have a few issues with the solicitors that they recommended for the conveyancing. Overall would recommend.

We are in the process of buying through their Towcester branch and so far the communication, pragmatic advice and guidance and the general support on offer has been second to none. The whole team have been great although we've worked mainly with Karen, who has without doubt gone above and beyond with communication, following up third parties, and keeping the process moving as quickly as possible. If you are looking to buy or sell, I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Howkins and Harrison.
19th Apr 2024 (6 days ago)Inspired were on the ball from day one. We had plenty of viewings and I was always kept up to fate with feedback and how the interest was in the property. I am very happy I chose them as my agents as they did what my previous ones didn't and got my property sold within 2-3 months.
31st Oct 2023 (25 weeks ago)Main positive was that the fees were payable only once the property was sold. However, pressure tactics were used which I felt came from mustard agents not the buyers, e.g. completion must be completed by such a date or the buyer pulls out. These ultimatums proved to be meaningless but caused considerable stress and inconvenience.

They were very professional, highly knowledgeable about the local market, helpful and very supportive. Always available to answer our questions and provide us with all the information we needed. Nick, Sam and Tom made us feel like we are their only clients, even though we knew they had many at the same time. 8th Apr 2024 (17 days ago)I chose Chelton Brown to manage my portfolio based on personal recommendation and my own research. I had a short-list of two agents in the town that I felt stood out as being serious about the lettings business. So many estate agents seem to see lettings as easy money, but are not dedicated to a service model as distinct from the large one-off commission on property sales. Before committing I met with the Managing Director and key people that would support me, my properties, and of course my tenants. 3 years later I continue to grow my portfolio and feel justified in choosing Chelton Brown.
