5th Oct 2026 (28 days ago)Would give them 0 stars if I could, don't waste your time with these fools. Chris is by far the most idiotic and incompetent letting agent i've ever had the misfortune of dealing with. We (me and my boyfriend) were in our flat about a year. We left as it was just completely uninhabitable and made our lives a misery being there.<br><br>Our biggest gripe with this flat were the windows. All metal frames, window sills were rotten and the seals around the glass had wasted away, plus the windows never shut properly so air was always coming in. In winter, it meant we had constant mould problems all over the flat and water literally dripping down the walls because it was constantly cold, despite heating the flat for a few hours a day. We asked for new windows and the landlord never went through with the repairs even though multiple window companies and Brian Thomas' own contractors said it was essential to have done. A window fitter came over FOUR TIMES to measure and get a quote so it wasted our time massively. I find this behaviour absolutely shocking from the landlord, but not unsurprising letting your tenants live in a flat so cold you could see your breath because you can't be bothered to fix the windows. Chris accused us of not heating the property which simply isn't true. Then in the summer, the living room which faced the sun all day reached over 30 degrees at times and we had to use the spare bedroom instead as it was uninhabitable. Although the windows were not Brian Thomas's decision ultimately, we took Chris to the Property Redress Scheme due to his complete negligence to address this issue properly and take it to the landlord / chase him which took over 6 months for any resolution. He never provided any evidence on his end as a rebuttal (because he never answered his emails) and we won the case by a landslide. Thanks for paying £550 towards my holiday!<br><br>Getting our deposit back, he took over 2 weeks to respond to our emails about vacating the property with evidence, we left that flat in better condition than it was presented to us in. They said they "needed" the closing bills (against the law by the way), we sent them and then it was radio silence. We had to get a statutory declaration form sorted and eventually got the money back after 2 months. Such a joke.<br><br>Chris, you are a disgrace and you should be ashamed of yourself for the way you treat your tenants. Illegally withholding money from people who did everything they were supposed to and left the flat in great condition is beyond unacceptable behaviour. NEVER go with Brian Thomas if you want to save your sanity, I'd rather be homeless than rent with them ever again. Chris is known to respond to these reviews with a half arsed attempt at a witty comeback, it'll give me a laugh if nothing else to see what he has to say.

No hard sell but worked with me to create a plan to be in a position to accept an offer within a week of going to market. Very professional sales team. Too early to say how their progression team are until the sale is complete.

10th Jun 2026 (21 weeks ago)Our experience with HomeLink has been extremely negative.<br><br>We returned the keys on 14 May 2026 and recorded a video at the time of handover as evidence. Despite this, we were later told that the keys had only been returned on 2 June 2026. We have evidence showing otherwise.<br><br>When we rented the property, we were informed by Zach that there were no damp or mould issues. However, during our tenancy we experienced significant damp, mould and moisture problems throughout the property, particularly during the winter months. My wife and child developed asthma-related health problems, and we have supporting medical evidence.<br><br>We moved out on 30 April 2026 and were preparing to move into another property. During this process, HomeLink provided a negative reference, stating that rent payments had been late. We had already informed them in writing that my salary payment date had changed and requested that the payment date be adjusted accordingly. Despite this, the issue was not resolved.<br><br>HomeLink has withheld our £2,015 deposit and has attempted to charge rent for a period when we were no longer living in the property. We have written communications showing that we informed the agency in advance about leaving the property.<br><br>We feel that we were treated unfairly throughout this process. We have retained emails, messages, video recordings and other evidence and have started legal proceedings regarding these matters.<br><br>Potential tenants should carefully document all communications and thoroughly inspect any property for damp and mould issues before signing a tenancy agreement.

After I posted a review on google, suddenly they had the time to finally call me back. Not to refund my money though, to ask me why I posted a bad review and still no answer on when I will get my £400 back! Scammers!

John's initial consulation and valuation of my property was conducted with honesty openess and enthusiasum, with exception local and market knowledge.<br><br>Once we took the decision to list the property, Coultons moved quickly to get excellent pictures and create a fantastic listing. The bookings for viewings were delp with professionaly and flexibly, and we enjoyed a sale of the property to a excellent prospective buyer represented by Euan who always represented the interests and requirements of both sides of the transaction.<br><br>Throughout the conveyancing process, John and the team were very proactive and responsive to ensure the process kept moving ahead. If we required advice, John and Euan were quick to respond with honest feedback and excellet knowledge.<br><br>Upon exchange - Coultons were quick to present their readyness to all sides of the chain ensuring that exchnage took place smoothly.<br><br>I would highly reccomend John, Euan and the Coultons team to anyone looking at buying or selling a property in thier services areas.

4th Aug 2026 (13 weeks ago)I would highly recommend David Astbury's from the first point of contact during the valuation, the professionalism commenced. We were provided with information about our property in advance of marketing that other estate agents did not provide and they did not overvalue our property to raise unrealistic expectations. Our sale in the end was very complex, but March in particular who supported us up to final sale completion, was amazing and did her best to support us during some very challenging times. Other members of the team were also supportive, as and when needed.

She went above and beyond to do everything possible to help us secure the house we really wanted, and thanks to her hard work and dedication, we got the house we wanted which we are genuinely so happy and excited about!<br><br>What really stood out was how kind, approachable and supportive Kerry was throughout. Julia went all out to find us a new home we would be happy in, and Nick and Julia worked hard together to make sure our house sale went smoothly. They were responsive and easy to communicate with, and I cannot recommend them highly enough.
