I unfortunately had a poor experience as a tenant at 67 POPLAR GROVE for 12 months. I honoured my contract and left. I received an extremely poor service and this agency constantly blamed the landlord of this property, but yet conveniently they continue to market this property. The conservatory was leaking water, the built in wardrobes upstairs falling apart. The place was a hazard. When I moved in I was reassured by the agent Josh that the landlord wanted to make improvements as I could see clear signs of neglect as soon as we came in. I trusted this and moved in. No repairs, no upgrades, nothing! Towards the end of our tenancy the whole ceiling of the downstairs lounge had a situation where water was leaking through the light bulbs. I sent emails that went unanswered. I will add screenshots if needed if the agency contest this point. In the end, the landlord did not release my deposit and did not give a reason for why not. I spoke to Beverley their letting director who came across completely dismissive and inconsiderate of our plight. 6 weeks on after leaving the property I have had to escalate to the tenancy dispute service. If you're thinking to rent this property or anywhere else with Hamilton Chase. Be warned! They will absolve themselves of responsibility when things go wrong. They spent the time blaming the landlord, but still continue to work with him and market his property. So they are happy to continue to make money but not deliver a service. If you're thinking of purchasing this property definitely do your due diligence as the place was starting to fall apart.
