Sure lettings contacted me when they saw my property was being advertised to let on Zoopla but not on Right Move and asked whether I would be happy for them to market my house as well. After two days Rachel, my agent at Sure Lettings had two viewings, the day after another two and two offers!! One was the asking price which was amazing. Excellent service and communication throughout and the family is now happily settled in their new home. Thank you and we’ll done to Rachel and Sure letting, can’t recommend highly enough!!... Sure Sales and Lettings (Hemel Hempstead) must be the worst estate agents on the market They never call you back, even when you have put an offer in on a property. Therefore, you can only assume that it has been rejected, which obviously prevents any further negotiations. If you are looking to sell your property I would stay clear of them.... Read more

Hannah Willis and Dinesh Mirchandani have been invaluable in terms of their help selling my property. Hannah is intelligent, helpful, personable and has always given me feedback straight after my viewings. She’s worked very hard to sell my property twice (as the first time it fell through). She has given me constant reassurance, gone above and beyond to call potential buyers instead of solely relying on advertising and has an informative non salesy approach, as opposed to ALL of the other estate agents that I’ve dealt with in Finchley. They were fair on their selling fees, listened to what I wanted, had integrity and were honest. I’d definitely use them again when buying or selling a property. Thanks for everything guys. We got there in the end :)... Read more

Worst letting agent ever. They forgot to tell the landlord we wanted the flat unfurnished. 3 days before we were due to move, they said we should look for another flat. I had to escalate to their manager, who it turns out, was trying to hide the mistake they made to the landlord and their HQ. It took 2 days to solve the issue. They promised the landlord was very good, which was not the case. He left us with damp issues for 3 months. We broke the contract after 3 months and moved out. They were equally negligent and difficult to deal with when we left. We are now over 6 weeks after the exit inventory and are still chasing for it. They lied to us repeatedly throughout the whole process. I would stay far away.... Read more

They went forward with viewing even though the property was already under offer, and when I placed an offer they dismissed it even though it was the same as the asking price without reason other than other offers in place, but no holding deposit. Very unprofessional. Edit after response from owner: Thank you for that time you took to respond to my review. First of all I booked an appointment to view on Saturday, the day the house came on the market and had no view. The first viewings were arranged for the following Monday, so I was not announced about any offers on the property. When I viewed the property beside the fact I was not shown around, and present the property, I asked how to proceed with an offer and I was told to call the office, which I did the same evening. I was told by one member of the staff that I need to call in the morning, to place an offer with the same lady that was at the property. Knowing there might be interest on the property I also emailed the same evening with an offer, saying that I will call the following morning to take it from there. When I called the following morning I was asked what is my offer, I said that I am happy to offer the asking price, but then I was told there are a few other applicants in from of me and I can't actually place an offer because you are waiting for references. Secondly if an offer came through, normal procedures are removing the house from the market after receiving a holding deposit, and letting people know that house is under offer and not waste people's time. I understand not all people can be pleased, but as a business all customers are important, so should be treated right. Have a great weekend, Stefan... Read more

I attended a private seminar in the hotel meeting rooms. The breakfast and lunch that was provided was high quality, and the dining rooms were very classy. I think this is exactly what Claridge's is all about. If you are staying here I guess you will already know. If you are stopping by, it will be expensive but excellent, I am sure. This is the London that every visitor should experience... Read more

For a place that stands for impeccable service, we receive appaling level of attentiveness from the staff at the afternoon tea/ dinner service. Its the holidays and they must have been busier than usual but overwhelmed is not something I expect given their reputation. Definitely not worth the spend and time.... Read more

I would thoroughly recommend David Key for their diligent and highly professional services. We had a very pleasant period dealing with David Key and would recommend them to anyone looking for a property to rent.... Read more

David Astbury's have been amazing with us as potential letters, looking for a place that suits our budget and helping us both negotiate a good deal and finding us the best we can get within our price range. Couldn't recommend more, they have been extremely friendly throughout and gone out of their way to make us feel looked after and allay any of the fears about moving. If you get the choice, 150% go with Scott. Great guy, very energetic and chatty but without being a smarmy salesman like so many estate agents are. Probably would have gone for another flat if it wasn't for him and his negotiating skills, friendliness and, in fact, honesty. Thanks again guys, would 100% recommend to all letters.... Read more

We rented a property from David Astburys for 8 months and got out as quickly as we could. They are an absolute joke of a letting agency - incompetent at best and deceptive at worst. They were absolutely efficient up until the point where we handed over the deposit and signed the tenancy agreement - after which everything went downhill swiftly. On the morning of our move-in day, we received a call from David Astburys letting us know that they had just realised the property had not been professionally cleaned, and asking us whether we would like to have them arrange to have it cleaned before we move in (in the middle of a global pandemic and a national lockdown, how is that even a question?). This was only a few hours before we were due to pick our keys up and gain access to the property. We ended up having to wait outside the property with all of our belongings for 7 hours while waiting for the cleaners to clean the place. To put things into perspective, we were meant to gain access to the property at 11am, and ended up only gaining access at 10pm when the cleaners left. For the record, the property was in absolutely filthy condition before the cleaners came so it is obvious that David Astburys neglected to do the simple task of checking the condition of the flat before our move-in date. Moreover, the property still had black mould and general cleanliness issues after the cleaners left - a problem that was raised with David Astburys for which we received no apology, remediation, or even acknowledgement of the cleanliness issue. This was the first red flag. We also were not allowed to view the property prior to move-in, which we were told was due to lockdown restrictions - fair enough. In lieu of being able to view the property in person, we asked for the property square footage, which we were told (in writing) was 72 square metres. When we moved into the flat, it was clear that the property was substantially smaller than this, and this was confirmed several weeks later when the property was measured for EPC renewal. The actual size of the flat, as documented in the renewed EPC, was 53 square metres. This equates to the property being advertised as 35% larger than its actual size. Again, we raised this with David Astburys and requested a rent reduction as the advertised size of the property was a major factor that we took into account when deciding how much to offer for the flat. However, David Astburys refused to take any accountability for this, stating that this was the measurement listed on the old EPC. We contacted Citizens Advice and were advised that this is an unfair trading practice, and we were well within our rights to pursue legal action against David Astburys. However, we decided that it was not worth the stress and effort and simply resolved to move out as quickly as possible. After we handed in our notice, David Astburys persisted to ask us to let people into our flat for viewings despite us letting them know that we were not comfortable given the Covid-19 risk (this was in December, when the NHS was being overwhelmed by the number of Covid cases). Also, remember that they used Covid-19 as an excuse to not let us view our flat (which was vacant) in person? Massive double standard. Predictably, David Astburys proposing deductions for cleaning after we moved out despite us having cleaned the flat to a markedly higher standard than what was given to us. We did not accept the deductions and let the Tenancy Deposit Scheme adjudicate the case. David Astburys must have realised that they have no leg to stand on here as they did not submit any evidence to TDS to support their proposed deductions, and we have now been awarded our full deposit back. David Astburys claims to be be better than your average (bad) letting agent, but in our experience they fit the stereotype to a T.... Read more
