The KFH team, and Javaid in particular are utterly brilliant. They are incredibly knowledgable about the market place, very professional and extremely trustworthy. I've bought and sold with them and they really do look after you. Javaid has even been given me advice when things have gone wrong with other agents whilst selling another flat in another part of town. But MOST IMPORTANTLY THEY DELIVER. They got me a buyer in eight days for near on the asking price. When does that happen in today's market?
Really disappointed. Completely overvalued my propety from the outset and lured me into a false sense of security. Constantly showed people round who weren’t interested as they didn’t fit the criteria, simply to hit their viewings targets. Genuinely feel like I lost out on ££££’s as a result of going with them in the first place. Only slight positive is that the people themselves are nice enough and I was met with politeness, even when I told them I was going elsewhere. In my experience it really paid to go with a local agent, I’d urge anyone selling in Forest Hill to do the same.
I have had my fair share of experiences with Estate agents and it has been very frustrating to say the least but James has restored all faith. If you want a proactive, honest and professional team then choose Stanford Estates! James recently helped with my purchase, he and the ladies in the office kept me informed at every stage and was on top of everything from solicitors, vendor and even chasing my agents. Couldn’t thank you all enough and I know who I’ll be calling when I’m in the position sell.
I have never used an estate agent, agency or indeed property management company that have pushed charges of such high value on to me, as the tenant; charges often buried within contractual clauses, both at move-in, during the tenancy and at move-out.
At move-in we put down a £200 deposit to secure the property and take it off the market; standard practice which I am used to, however that deposit then transformed in wording upon acceptance of the contract to a non-refundable fee. This was not taken off the initial months rent or security deposit, this was an additional charge.
A renewal fee of £300 was charged when we decided to stay in the property for another year.
At move-out we are now covering the costs of a check-out agency which Robert Stanfords hire, costing us £144.
Based on my previous experience in renting property, these fees are inflated and often never passed on to the tenant. I don't doubt the legality of the charges, I do however doubt the moral fabric and decency of applying them.
i have bought a flat through Hunters -Forest Hill, i have had a great experience with their solicitors, the staffs of Hunters -Forest Hill have provided a brilliant service on the rental, getting me loads of viewing really quickly and agreeing a rent higher than i expected by quite a lot as well, they also make sure that I was protected as much as possible as a landlord when they set up the tenancy.
They were professional and viewings were convenient. I always had lots of notice. The fee rates were based on final sale price so I felt they had by best interest at heart. They have a helpful sales progression team that have helped the sale finalise quickly.
