The team at Acorn Forest Hill are exceptional, helping with a sale and purchase. They helped me through every step of the process - and quickly found a new buyer when the original one dropped out. Couldn't recommend Louis and the team more highly. Thanks again!
Literally the most incompetent estate agents I've ever dealt with. They gave us the wrong keys on the day we moved in. If you can't get that right, there really is no help.
Gwenno was really well organised and extremely helpful and patient. Gwenno made our moving experience seemless in an extremely quick timeframe. I would happily recommend Pedder and Gwenno to anyone looking to let a property.
So many thanks to Javaid, Kyle and Seth for their excellent work on selling our place in Forest Hill. Efficient and always honest and professional. We bought the place through Javaid 10 years ago at KFH, and it was nice to see him again when it was time for us to move on.
Javaid was very helpful in assisting me on my property search.
I have just sold my flat using Stanford Estates & couldn't recommend them more highly. I really wanted a local agent who was able to provide a more personal service than a large chain estate agent where everything feels less personal, and I am so glad I chose Stanford Estates. Ben carried out the valuation and was extremely knowledgeable about the local and national property market. The team arranged a really good number of viewings within the first week, and gave great feedback following each appointment. They were also very considerate of my tenants, which was very much appreciated. Malcolm was really excellent, and made the whole process so much less stressful than it could have been. Stanford Estates were my first choice, and they certainly didn’t disappoint. I would use them again without hesitation. Their honest, hardworking and straightforward approach was a refreshing change to a lot of the alternatives in the area. Thank you again Ben, Malcolm & team!
I have never used an estate agent, agency or indeed property management company that have pushed charges of such high value on to me, as the tenant; charges often buried within contractual clauses, both at move-in, during the tenancy and at move-out.
At move-in we put down a £200 deposit to secure the property and take it off the market; standard practice which I am used to, however that deposit then transformed in wording upon acceptance of the contract to a non-refundable fee. This was not taken off the initial months rent or security deposit, this was an additional charge.
A renewal fee of £300 was charged when we decided to stay in the property for another year.
At move-out we are now covering the costs of a check-out agency which Robert Stanfords hire, costing us £144.
Based on my previous experience in renting property, these fees are inflated and often never passed on to the tenant. I don't doubt the legality of the charges, I do however doubt the moral fabric and decency of applying them.
I couldnt have asked for better estate agents. Both Dave and Sarah were so helpful and friendly and were always willing to take the time to discuss with me any of my queries.
They didn't try to put the flat on the market for silly money, but a price which meant people were interested to view and bid on the property. Due to this, i had a number of bids and the flat went for well over asking price.
I then had a sales progressor who supported me all through the process who was brilliant and so helpful.
The whole process went so smoothly and quickly. I have dealt with other estate agents in the area who were completely useless, but Hunters are a cut above and really are willing to help you.
They were professional and viewings were convenient. I always had lots of notice. The fee rates were based on final sale price so I felt they had by best interest at heart. They have a helpful sales progression team that have helped the sale finalise quickly.
