5th Mar 2026 (29 days ago)Appalling handling of tenancy deposit — avoid We vacated our property at Masters Court, Harrow on 30 January 2026 in good condition, and over a month later we have still not received our deposit back. The handling of this entire process by Connells has been deeply disappointing. Despite sending multiple emails and attempting to call numerous times, we have received nothing but vague responses saying they are "still liaising with the former landlord." No clear timeline, no transparency, and no accountability. Phone calls have gone unanswered, and no direct contact number has been provided despite requests. The items flagged in the checkout report are standard fair wear and tear under TDS guidelines — minor wall marks, limescale build-up typical of Harrow's hard water, None of these justify withholding our deposit. To make matters worse, wife is 24 weeks pregnant, and the unnecessary financial stress caused by this prolonged delay has had a real impact on her mental health and wellbeing. This is completely unacceptable. We have now raised a formal dispute through the tenancy deposit scheme, which should never have been necessary. We have never experienced such poor deposit handling with any previous letting agency. If you are a prospective tenant — be warned. We would strongly recommend looking elsewhere.

When the sale fell through we were recommended Martyn Gerrard. Usman and James were available for questions and were clear in what the process was. They were reliable with getting viewings and providing advice and feedback. Overall very happy and would recommend

Since we live so far away and usually manage to be in London only once a year we needed a professional management agency that is able to look after our place efficiently, amicably, dealing with problems quickly and making sure our tenants are content but also looking after the flat well. We have worked with friendly, trustworthy and efficient property managers and we are especially pleased with our current manager Abida Tasnim!

24th Mar 2026 (10 days ago)I rented my property out through Truepenny's and whilst the experience at the beginning to get the contracts drawn up etc. was quite slow and last-minute, throughout the actual management of the tenancy they have been brilliant. I recently had to regain possession of my flat due to a change in my personal circumstances and Myra in particular was incredibly helpful and patient with me during a difficult time, which I thoroughly appreciated. Would definitely recommend Truepenny's for anyone looking to rent out their property in the area!

Communication was clear throughout, and I always felt supported. They have excellent knowledge of the Ealing market, and their advice helped achieve a successful sale. I truly felt they went above and beyond to get the best outcome for me. I would highly recommend Hamptons to anyone buying or selling in Ealing – they are the best estate agents in the area. I can't even describe the night and day difference it was from a buyer point-of-view after having an initial offer fall through with a different agency. B&S were there every step of the way (special shout-out to Martine, who worked tirelessly as our sales progressor!) and everything felt so personal, even though I'm sure they have loads of cases on at once. As I was buying alone, I really appreciated having someone there to ask all the little questions. I had such a positive experience, I'll definitely look to use them when I'm in a position to sell.
