Lewis went beyond in many ways - offering helpful recommendations and I felt fully supported throughout the whole process as a first-time buyer. I would definitely recommend John D Wood & Co.

From the start, the pricing advice felt realistic and well judged, which helped attract the right buyers quickly. Viewings were handled well and we always got clear, honest feedback, so we knew where things stood. After accepting an offer, Rob, James and the team stayed on top of everything and kept the process moving. Communication was consistent and we never felt out of the loop. End result was a smooth sale, good outcome and a timeline that worked for our move abroad. Would definitely recommend them.

As an overseas landlord, I found her support absolutely invaluable. Lauren handled every stage with meticulous care, from putting the property on the market to finding the tenant. She attended to every minute detail of the property rental rules and ensured the property was in excellent condition. Lauren acted as a flawless bridge, communicating between myself, the tenant, and the maintenance team. She was always available to answer any queries and her 'spot on' communication provided me with total peace of mind. Beyond technical expertise, she has a warm, professional character that is perfectly suited to this profession. I am so pleased to have been connected with her through Barnard Marcus and wish her all the best as she moves higher up in her career. She is a true credit to the Putney team.

Booking viewings can often be a headache, but they made everything incredibly easy and professional. A huge thank you to Ara, Honor, and Emily, who were absolutely marvelous. They were punctual, extremely knowledgeable about the properties, and took the time to listen to exactly what I’m looking for. Their warm and friendly approach really sets this agency apart. As this property also required renovation works, there were extra moving parts and challenges along the way, and we really appreciated Levi’s support throughout. He was proactive, reassuring, and always willing to help find solutions that worked for both us and the sellers. We’re very grateful for his help and would happily recommend Groves Residential.

18th Mar 2024 (2 years ago)DO NOT SELL YOUR BUSINESS THROUGH THIS COMPANY! READ THE SMALL PRINT This company are extremely aggressive and unprofessional. We advertised a business with them, paid an huge fee to advertise. Later after terminating, we agreed investment (not even a sale) from an investor we met directly, who was never introduced by Hilton Smythe. After accepting investment after terminating with Hilton Smythe they demanded their commission!! Totally unreasonable given it was after termination and the person who invested in our business was never known to or introduced by Hilton Smythe! They are now behaving aggressively and threatening legal action. We in turn have reported them to the ombudsman and trading standards. They are snake oil salesmen. DO NOT DEAL!

We worked with Mandy Jacobs and Wayland Ward-Smith and I'd recommend them without hesitation. Mandy gave us timely, frequent updates during the process and was always available for counsel, giving thoughtful, experienced advice at different twists and turns in our selling process.

22nd Mar 2026 (6 weeks ago)I do not think Davenports even deserve a 1 star to be honest. - Terrible communication - Last minute cancellations MULTIPLE times because "the rugby was on" (kick off was at 3pm and viewing was at 10am). The rugby had little to no impact early in the morning. - They then sent a junior who just started who knew nothing about the house or why its for sale. He had 2 months experience. - Tardy and very lacking attitude to their customers. I'm a sales director myself, I would never let my staff run a business like this.
