21st May 2026 (4 days ago)If I could rate 0 I would. We had the misfortune of our purchase being handover to Dominic in the new year. I can honestly say I’ve never been spoken to in such a condescending, rude and aggressive manner by anyone- let alone someone who stands to benefit from a substantial commission. Firstly our offer was accepted in October and despite chasing the property was left on the market visible on all platforms for 6 weeks after our offer was accepted. It wasn’t until December when the owner suddenly and unexpectedly passed away that it was taken down. This sort of behaviour screams dishonesty. His manager Sally whom I tried to escalate to, did nothing and didn’t even bother to reply to my emails. I was shouted at over the phone, called “little miss last minute.com” on 3 occasions during a single call, received the email below- which, I think paints the picture well enough. Dominic had little to no knowledge of probate process, demanded I forward rental contracts which Dexter’s had no involvement in, advised that our solictors should undertake the negotiations, did not communicate honestly with the sellers (after confirming in writing that he had). He was aware of completion day for 6 weeks- despite this he booked appointments for valuations and did not bother to tell anyone in the office that we were due to complete that day. Not only did we not receive a call from Dexters to say we’d completed (it came via solicitors hours later), we had to travel to the agency to collect a key. We arrived at the agency who had no idea we’d completed!! Not even a congratulations or email follow up to check everything went smoothly. To top that Dominic refused to share alarm codes stating “they are written inside”. Unfortunately no correct codes existed inside- so we couldn’t even get in without calling out the alarm company to disarm the system! No codes for the padlocks either. Not exactly how you expect to be treated by an estate agent, or his managers Sally who did nothing to resolve the situation when it was escalated to her. I certainly would never use Dexters services in the future and would advise the local community against using their company.

12th Jan 2026 (19 weeks ago)Sam Watkins was a fantastic estate agent - really personable, going above and beyond what was expected in helping us get our new flat.- 4th Mar 2021 (5 years ago)We had our flat on the market with Dexter's for the exclusivity period. During that time we were passed between 3 contacts at Dexter's. The first agent left within a week or two of taking our property on, put little effort into the marketing of the property resulting in a poor advert and poor viewings. The second agent was much better, rectified many mistakes and did find us a buyer. The buyer sadly pulled out, but by this point the second agent at Dexter's had also moved on. It took 3 days for us to hear of the news of the buyer falling through and a further week for the agent to actually make any contact with us. We found out the buyer had pulled out from our estate agent from the property we were purchasing calling our solicitors and asking for an update. Dexter's in my opinion were an appalling service. We put out flat on the market with another agent and had a brilliant offer, from a truly lovely couple within a few weeks. I wish I'd gone with the data in GetAgent in the first place, rather than going on gut feel. When we bought our flat it was with Dexter's and we got the impression that they were relationship people, however, it turns out they act in the interest of the buyer not the seller.

She took the time to fully understand what I was looking for in a rental property and was incredibly helpful in finding properties that matched my requirements. Her communication was excellent and she was very knowledgeable on all of the properties she showed me. I can’t thank Yasmin enough for all her support and service!

Jasmine was really personable, answered all my questions (including following up via e-mail as needed), and supported me throughout the process. I am a first time buyer so didn’t know anything about the necessary steps so Jasmine and her colleague (Sandip) helped guide and prepare me throughout. I definitely recommend using Hawks and Jasmine.
3rd May 2026 (22 days ago)I called into your office yesterday with a few questions about a recently sold retirement property in Bridge Avenue, Maidenhead. I was very impressed with the politeness and professionalism of the two staff members I spoke to. First Saffron who helped me navigate your front door{!}, and then helped me with my enquiry, and also Dylan who helped answer some of my more detailed questions, as he had had experience with regard to these type of retirement properties. I will definitely recommend your estate agents to anyone I speak to. 6th May 2026 (19 days ago)I’m very disappointed with the service. Over the past two days, my scheduled appointments have been repeatedly cancelled without proper notice or explanation. There has been no clear communication or effort to resolve the issue, which feels highly unprofessional. I expected much better reliability and customer care.

8th May 2026 (17 days ago)Andy was incredible. He ended an 8 month disappointing search in one day of viewings where we finally felt like we were picking from all good options for us versus selecting a least bad option. If we sell/buy again, we will return here first
7th May 2026 (18 days ago)Dan clearly knows the local market well - he'd done his research and gave us a fair, realistic valuation that got us our sale. When a financing issue threatened to derail the deal, he stepped in and worked with his mortgage broker to secure an alternative for our buyer to keep the sale on track. I'm incredibly grateful to Dan and the mortgage broker for this as without them arranging this we'd likely have lost our buyer. Dan's also very approachable - always happy to talk things through, understanding the emotional side of selling more than other agents I've engaged with have. Would definitely recommend.
2nd May 2026 (23 days ago)Moving from a flat to a house was a big jump for us. We had limited time to lock in and secure a property that fit, Charan came through for us. Charan went above and beyond to ensure that we were catered to in every way. From early/late correspondence to continuous updates, creating a great sense of trust and confidence within the process. After renovating the property, should we wish to sell, we would definitely instruct Charan to look after our sale. We would want any potential buyer walking through our doors to have the same experience as we did. We cannot express how great Charan was with us over the past couple of months, and we are not easy customers either.
