I particularly appreciate Connor's communication. He always provides the timely update; even when where was no update he still makes effort to let me know when I can expect from him. I had a very bad experience with these so-called property consultants with a lack of honesty and transparency from the start. The estate agent didn’t have a clue what he was talking about when he showed me around a property I was interested in and I found his and another agent's phone and email etiquette absent and at times rude and condescending. I decided to put forward an offer on the property as I liked it regardless, but I received mixed messages from these agents on my offer, each telling me different things about what the vendor wanted and making me question their ability and join-up as a business. I was then told my offer had been accepted and sent a memorandum of sale but then SILENCE. I had to repeatedly call them – they promised calls back which I never received and my emails went unanswered. I eventually had to find out from their lettings agent of all people that the seller had withdrawn. In my case, it seemed there was no trust or usual business-client relationship between Truepenny’s and the seller and no care from Truepenny’s as to how they treat buyers. Their incompetence caused stress and a difficult financial situation with my mortgage advisor and solicitor. I never received a call or email from Truepenny's following up on what was an absolutely shambolic experience. Having now read other reviews on here, I suspect they might have been lying about my offer being accepted all along.
