16th Oct 2026 (17 days ago)Chestertons Islington is, without question, the worst company I have ever had the misfortune of dealing with. The sheer incompetence, appalling communication and complete lack of accountability throughout our experience have been genuinely astonishing.<br><br>Our tenancy and moving-out process was an absolute nightmare. We incurred approximately £4,000 in additional costs, spent countless hours chasing emails and attempting to resolve issues, and were subsequently faced with further disputes over what we consider to be completely unreasonable deposit deductions.<br><br>What makes this experience particularly infuriating is the apparent unwillingness to acknowledge mistakes or take meaningful responsibility for resolving them. The amount of time, money and energy we have wasted dealing with Chestertons is frankly ridiculous. For a company that markets itself as a reputable, high-end estate agency, the standard of service we received was nothing short of disgraceful.<br><br>The only exception has been Alhad, who has been helpful throughout an otherwise horrendous experience.<br><br>I cannot stress enough how strongly I would advise anyone against using Chestertons Islington- AND CHESTERTONS AS A WHOLE. I have genuinely never encountered such consistently poor service from any company. An extraordinarily expensive, stressful and exhausting experience that I would not wish on anyone.<br><br>Avoid at all costs.

Terri, our Property Manager, was always very responsive and friendly.<br><br>We had a good experience with SA as a letting agent. They were especially helpful in supporting us - alongside our landlord - to deal with mould caused by issues in the broader building.

To put it into perspective, I'm a buyer and leaving the estate agent a glowing review.<br><br>I don't think the transaction would have been successful without his deep involvement. He was able to put pressure on the seller's side when they weren't making sense or dawdling. He was also very patient with the influx of queries from me and worked together to solve problems.<br><br>I can't say enough positive things about him as an agent. If I could give more than five stars, I would. The ordeal for such a seemingly simple transaction was far easier with Polat around.

Pamela is our main contact, very professional, communicative, knowledgeable and on top of the whole process - would highly recommend her as an agent. She showed us the property and explained everything in depth and clearly. She’s also very responsive on WhatsApp to all of our questions, which has been very very helpful. Overall, would recommend Fraser & Co Shoreditch, and ask for Pamela if you can!
