While we didn’t end up purchasing from them, they were excellent during our viewing process and were extremely communicative and prompt. Alan even went out of his way while he was on holiday to organise a viewing for us and to answer any questions we may have had. We’re super grateful for that. His relationship with his sellers is more like good friends than clients and it shows that he really cares for the person on the other side. We highly recommend him and his team and hope to work with him again in the future.
2nd Apr 2026 (11 weeks ago)(2-April-2026 update) I am very disappointed with the way Barnard Marcus has handled my deposit return. Despite repeatedly following up, they continue to respond with vague messages like “I am still currently liaising with your former landlord in regards to what they may potentially be looking to claim for to deduct from your deposit.” This has been going on for far too long, and it feels completely unprofessional. The checkout inventory report clearly stated there were no damages and I have hired professional end of tenancy cleaning, so there is no reason for the landlord to spend days “looking for” deductions. The agency should be enforcing a clear deadline for the landlord, not helping them delay payment. I expected transparent and timely communication, but instead, I have experienced avoidable delays and poor accountability. Very disappointing service. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ To future tenants, I wish you good luck and all the best coz you really needed it. People here just don't give a sh*t and don't care about delivering what they have promised. 1. I was only given the tenancy agreement 3 days before the tenancy start date, as I have mentioned multiple times that I need time to read the agreement and make payment and plan ahead for my moving, they only serve the landlord as the landlord is given a template and rights to modify any leasing terms 2 weeks ago, but I only got 3 days. And they insist that I need to start paying bills on the tenancy start day and not willing to postpone it even it is their fault to not send me the agreement earlier. Without any confirmation how am I suppose to make plans in moving? 2. They will not share the landlord's contact and saying I can contact them whenever I need help. However, whenever I needed them to ask landlord for confirmation, eg if it is ok to replace the traditional meter with smart meter, they will never help you and no reply. I tried to call and email, no response. Also I tried to ask them to confirm with landlord if water bill is also included, as the rent only stated hot water included. I tried to call Thames Water and got the reply is I cannot set up an account with them as the whole building was under 1 business account. I addressed this issue to Barnard Marcus Covent Garden and would would like to seek for a confirmation that I do not need to pay for water. What I got was, if you contacted Thames Water then I should take their advice. Come on! I need confirmation from you! not from Thames Water! There are many more little things that shows how irresponsible they are to Tenants, I hope this review can help anyone who is considering to rent from them. **When it comes to fixture maintenance, Hollie from the property maintenance team however did a great job, she replied my emails and follow up on the issues. I really appreciated her prompt response. PS. I will keep updating my frustrated experiences that I encounter with them.

Throughout my entire search journey, he was incredibly proactive, quick to respond, and remarkably supportive. He even responded to any questions I have on off-days. His professionalism and proactivity made the whole process much smoother. Highly recommended! Zaylin’s ability to streamline the process and handle every detail with such efficiency took all the stress out of finding a property. If you are looking for an agent who is not only professional and knowledgeable but also genuinely kind and dedicated to his clients, I cannot recommend him enough!!!

16th May 2026 (5 weeks ago)RUN AWAY from this agency. I had a deeply disappointing experience dealing with Mr. William Delaney, Anne Hughes, and Coopers of London during a serious disrepair issue involving leaks, water damage, lack of hot water, and pest concerns. Communication was consistently confrontational, dismissive, and completely lacking professionalism. Rather than addressing urgent tenant concerns constructively, Mr. Delaney repeatedly minimized issues and adopted a hostile tone in written correspondence. We documented everything carefully with photographs, videos, and emails, which were later escalated. Instead of resolving the issues, the agency argued technicalities and unreasonable terms. We endured over 3 months of disruptive construction works while still being charged full rent, despite parts of the property — including the bathroom — being unusable. We were simply told to use a nearby gym bathroom, which was unacceptable. There were also repeated access attempts without proper consent or coordination, creating significant stress and disruption. During COVID, as an asthmatic tenant trying to avoid unnecessary exposure, I requested viewings take place in our presence and provided multiple alternative time slots. Instead of handling this respectfully, William insulted us and my medical concerns were qualified as “spurious.” He went ahead to the viewing without our consent. As tenants, we remained cooperative and repeatedly tried to accommodate access and repairs. Unfortunately, this was by far the worst experience I have ever had with a property agency, and I would strongly discourage anyone from renting through Coopers of London. 28th Mar 2026 (12 weeks ago)I’ve had a nightmare experience with john co since the very beginning. First, they were incredibly inefficient with the move-in process, delaying my tenancy start date by three weeks and leaving the property vacant for that entire time. What makes this even more ridiculous is that they failed to carry out mandatory safety inspections (EICR, Gas Safety, EPC) during those three weeks of vacancy. Instead, they have contacted me three times in just my first three weeks of living here, demanding access for various contractors. It feels as though they are using me as an unpaid property manager to coordinate their overdue maintenance. If you value your time, privacy, and mental peace, I strongly advise you to look elsewhere. Their management is a complete mess.

Pamela is our main contact, very professional, communicative, knowledgeable and on top of the whole process - would highly recommend her as an agent. She showed us the property and explained everything in depth and clearly. She’s also very responsive on WhatsApp to all of our questions, which has been very very helpful. He has been involved from the outset, when he first showed us the flat, and has remained consistently engaged throughout, always included in communications and clearly overseeing matters with care and attention. The flat itself has also been excellent, which has made the whole experience all the more positive. Now, two years on, we’ve just completed an inspection with Mas, which was handled in a professional yet relaxed and friendly manner. It made what can sometimes be an uncomfortable process feel straightforward and at ease. It was also striking that he remembered small personal details about us, from meeting family members to our hobbies, something that is quite rare and much appreciated. He has always been flexible with timings and accommodating of our work schedules, which made a real difference. The wider team have also been excellent, responsive, professional, and knowledgeable. Overall, the experience has been smooth and stress free, and we would highly recommend them.
31st Mar 2026 (11 weeks ago)Dreadful company: the Lettings manager, Mubeen, was so charming when he wanted the listing, but, once he got it, he then proved inefficient and uninterested. The company has a revolving door of young, inexperienced people, so landlords don’t know who to contact, even during a let. We had to sort out all the problems ourselves and keep in contact with the tenants, as, like us, they couldn’t never get through to the assigned agent, who was changed the day after arrival anyway. Mubeen and his team are masters in ghosting clients and payments were late. We had damage we reported with photos, but never heard back from Foxton’s. Awful, unprofessional company. Best use a different agency, there are plenty out there.
