I was particularly impressed with Kristina's swift and precise communication, as well as her knowledge of the development and the property. I have bought and sold properties in Farnham through Hamptons over the last 25 years, and this encounter was up to their usual high standards. Thoroughly recommended.

1st Apr 2026 (11 weeks ago)I have bought and sold through Charters in Alton on a few occasions now, they are extremely personable and go the extra mile to provide an exemplary service - they make the effort to understand what I want when I am looking to purchase, and again when selling they have never let me down, they have amazingly sold more than one property for me immediately to the first person who has viewed. (This backs up that they do not waste peoples time, they get to understand what you are looking for and match you to a property - this is only achievable when you are an expert in your job!). Charters Alton are totally friendly, professional and informative with a nothing is too much trouble approach - this has been proven by Sarah, Jane, Toby and not forgetting Lisa who is part of the progression team. I would only ever go to Charters as first port of call when it comes to selling my property. Well done on completing the sale and purchase for me, fabulous as always, and once again you never let me down!

She went above and beyond to ensure that we could move into a new rental property with extremely short notice on both parts. We had had an unpleasant experience previously to this. Leaving us with 9 days to find somewhere to live. She went above and beyond to ensure that all paperwork was complete and the new rental property fit to move into, even though due to our push for time it left her little time to do so. We can’t thank her and all the team enough and we are very happy in our new home. We are extremely grateful and would highly recommend Henry Adams in petersfield and in particular Siobhan Merrett. But over the time I saw their knowledge often area grow with a dedicated contact. As a shift working they worked with me on email and that suited me fine.

From our very first interaction, we felt genuinely valued and well looked after throughout the entire process of securing our rental property. The level of service and communication has been excellent. Both Steph and Jenna have been professional, friendly, and incredibly responsive, keeping us informed at every stage. Communication is something we value highly, and they have always been happy to answer our questions, provide reassurance when needed, and make the whole process as smooth and stress-free as possible. Although we were first time buyers and the property took a while to go through due to uncontrollable circumstances, they made us feel at ease, communicated well and were generally great to deal with. 6th Jun 2026 (14 days ago)Molly was always friendly, responsive and professional in her dealings with us, and we have no criticism of her personally. Unfortunately, our overall experience as buyers was very disappointing. The negotiation process lasted several weeks and involved multiple competing parties, repeated changes in position and prolonged uncertainty. We remained fully engaged throughout, including while away on holiday, and ultimately increased our offer in order to secure the property. Our offer was accepted, the property was taken off the market and we immediately proceeded with ID checks, mortgage arrangements and the other steps expected of a committed buyer. We did so in good faith and on the basis that the transaction was moving forward. However, despite the property being off the market and the sale progressing, we were ultimately gazumped by a higher offer and the vendors chose to proceed elsewhere. We appreciate that estate agents have a duty to pass on offers and that gazumping is legally possible before exchange of contracts. However, what disappointed us most was the lack of certainty and expectation management throughout the process. From a buyer’s perspective, the transaction felt unnecessarily drawn out and poorly controlled, resulting in considerable wasted time, effort, expense and emotional investment. Whilst Molly was courteous throughout, the overall handling of the transaction left us with little confidence in the agency’s ability to provide buyers with any meaningful degree of security once an offer has been accepted.
