As first time buyers she made the mortgage application feel effortless, finding us the best rate available and managing to fit an appointment in very last minute to help secure it. 22nd Mar 2024 (5 weeks ago)Do not rent house on Lavenham Close in Nuneaton, landlord lives opposite and you wouldn't want to live across the street from that person. When we rented the house we didn't know that the landlord lived opposite and no one told us about it. Landlord will enter your home without your knowledge or consent. Besides, if something breaks, and it definitely will because the house is very old, nothing will be repaired, we lived in a house with a broken toilet for over 6 weeks and the landlord did nothing about it, we had to move out. Connells doesn't help with anything, they lie and cheat all the time. Avoid Connells.

4th Mar 2024 (7 weeks ago)The overall experience was very good , if I were to find any criticism at all it would be around continuity of communication I had great initial contact with Alex but one the listing was established it was difficult to maintain that contact as he was frequently out of the office and no mobile contact was offered. The other people in the Coalville office all seemed to be part timers so the continuity of communication with the same people suffered quite a bit. The seller dashboard could benefit from more regular updating.
8th Feb 2024 (11 weeks ago)just before christmas we were asked to vacate a property at short notice as the landlord had decided to sell it, fortunately we found a suitable house quickly and prepared the property to a high standard, paying a deposit on the new house and moving out. We are Nearly a month into chasing for the return of the £1300 + Deposit paid to your move who today advised that they cannot get in touch with the landlord - the deposit is not there responsibility - suggesting that we chase it up ourselves - They have taken the rent, the deposit,issued the agreemant, done the inventory, ensured we hope that the deposit was insured as legally required as the agent - Now they have basically told us to go away - Shocking service and really worrying behaviour from a letting agency who look good on the face of it but do not look after the interests of their tenants - stuff you hear about but never hope to experience - Today we collected some mail from the agent who asked us to delete the review and added that legally the deposit does not have to be returned for 90 days , after which we are able to take further action - Had we been told this before we rented the property we would not have taken up the tenancy - we still dont know who the deposit is insured through - not getting anywhere fast.

Lack of empathy and an inability to put themselves in the customers shoes. Excellent at patronising though. Avoid when buying or selling.
13th Mar 2024 (6 weeks ago)Newton and Fallowell, particularly Sue, but also Jess in Sue’s absence, made the process of buying our property happen. We had a particularly difficult sale (using a different agent, in Cambridgeshire). Suffice to say that had Sue not been so proactive in helping with an ongoing number of issues down the chain, the whole process would have fallen through. Communication from Newton and Fallowell was SUPERB, it was the only way we could keep track of what was happening. A professional and friendly service from a company that give the impression of really caring. We would not hesitate to use them again in the future and would also recommend them highly.

12th Mar 2024 (6 weeks ago)The local branch director was remote and almost impossible to contact. The sales girls were hopeless. For example, they got the name of one prospective byer wrong three times in emails, they arranged unaccompanied viewings without consulting us despite being told to email rather than phone for early morning rather than afternoon as specified by us and without checking the potential byers actual ability to make the purchase. When we had had enough of this pantomime I finally managed to speak to the director, although I had specified the communication should be by email, and reiterated our concerns with their service thus far to which he responded: "What do you want me to do" so I told him in no uncertain terms what I would like him to do.

From the start they were very professional with excellent communication throughout the process. They did a great job with the marketing of my property and generated lots of interest and viewings. My first buyer dropped out but Dan got me sold again in less than two weeks for the full asking price. Excellent service would 100% recommend.
