From our first introduction to Leaders in Manchester, we were welcomed by Ms Anna Scoffins?, a Leaders Coordinator, today, and she was our first positive impression showing her knowledge and skillset. She provided true and honest professionalism in dealing with us as humans and customers; we signed the contract and the rental deal done.

I've never met such an irresponsible and unreliable agent!!! My friend and I planned to rent a 2-bedroom flat near the Uni. My friend viewed the property on the 4th Aug and paid the renting deposit on 5th Aug. The advertisement they posted on rightmove said 'available now'. We told them that we have to move in before 28th Aug and they said it’s ok. The reality is once you paid the money, they wouldn't care about you anymore!!! They passed our case to someone we could never find. I called almost every day to chase up (They told me that lady only works 2-3 days/week after I did get angry). On the 26th Aug, 2 days before my current house due and 3 weeks after the deposit was paid, they told us they can’t rent the flat because the landlord wants to redecorate the flat. I stayed in a hotel for 2 weeks till I found another place to stay.
It’s hard to describe my feeling, I’m so angry but they can always make me feel tired. Every time we called, they always asked us to leave the phone number and said they will call back. But they NEVER! I am really tired about this and don’t expect any compensate for the hotel and the lost chance to find another good property (there were plenty nice flats in early August).
All I want is my deposit back!!! They said they will do the refund immediately on 27th Aug. It has been another 3 weeks!!! Again, I called heaps of times, they always said they will do bank transfer and call me back ASAP. Last time I called was 11th Sep, the branch manager promised me they will do the refund on Monday (14th Sep). Well… it’s Thursday already. I really don’t want to call them again.
As an international student, I truly don’t know how to protect my rights here.
