I had the great fortune of dealing with Kane, when I was looking to rent a new home. Kane is very polite, friendly, and despite incredibly short timescales and my own sense of panic, his composure helped me through the entire process in less than a day, along with a sterling effort from Brian for processing my tenancy application in record time! You're both a real credit to WHB. Thank you both!... Read more

Don't buy or sell through either of the branches in Norwich. The level of communication is terrible. Different people call up from different branches, they don't pass the message on or put anything on their system. One guy called me up and said " you told me last week you had very little interest in your house you have on the market" i told him when we had spoken the house had been on the market for two days and I had never said that....he was so rude The only thing they push is getting you to have a mortage through them, i told the valuer i was not interested in them sorting out a mortage then a few days later i get a call from a lady saying how they could sort out a mortage for me, i said three times very firmly i didn't want them to but she didn't want to give up... They valued our house over a 125k less than the average value we received from 4 agents...... We were trying to buy a house through them, if it wasn't for the fact we had the owners email we would never have had any thing sorted. We lost the sale but only heard from the owner of the house even though he said the agents should have told me on the Friday.... Read more

I put in an offer which was accepted on a flat in Norwich. I am not from Norwich therefore do not know the good and bad areas. I was SO lucky to have been advised and helped by Lewis Osborn .It was really through him that I decided on this flat, which was finally down to a choice of two (one with another firm) so I went with Lewis . Thank you so Much... Read more

Do Not Use. From the first time we dealt with Adam the sales negotiator who stated we should give him a cash bonus of £500 plus some luxury wine on top of the 2k company structured fee if they achieved the full guide price. I was then told confidential information of a work colleague who was also selling with this Estate Agent. They claimed to keep in constant contact with us, however we had to do this whilst on holiday, then produced a phone log with 95% of the calls done before the house was marketed. Really awful service absolutely unprofessional and breaking Data Protection.... Read more

Me and my wife just rented a property with Leaders and we could not have been happier with the house and the whole process. Very easy to deal with and very helpful staff, especially Alex who followed up the entire rental process with us. Highly recommend to everyone. Many thanks Giuseppe... Read more

We own our property which, unfortunately, is next door to a leaders managed property. The previous tenants were a dream, but the garden fence is in very bad state of repair. 5 weeks ago one of the panels was blown down in high winds and the other panels have good size holes, there are also sharp nails protruding, which is dangerous! My 2 children can't play in the garden as the fence is dangerous and they could seriously injure themselves. The fence needed replacing 3 years ago as it is rotten and if you brush against it leaves green marks on clothing. The fence was reported by the tenants to leaders a couple of times, once was 3-4months ago as my son cut himself on the fence where it was damaged, nothing was done. The fence was reported again to leaders when the wind took out a panel and holes appeared in other panels. 3 weeks later someone finally came round to price up the repairs, 2 weeks after that nothing has been done. Today I rang leaders to ask on progress and complain about the fence, I managed to talk to someone in head office who didn't care, when I mentioned that I would contact the landlord directly to complain about the fence and leaders, the operative very quickly got on his high horse and sounded disgusted that I thought it was leaders fault at all. I would never recommend leaders to anyone, there are better agencies for landlords and tenants out there and I certainly won't use leaders for any management in the future.... Read more

Our experience with the Unthank Rd William H Brown - for the purchase of a house - has been excellent. A discussion with their mortgage adviser was very useful, and they have been very professional and helpful in the buying process. (I would note that this is in stark contrast to our experiences when dealing with the main branch for renting - they were absolutely dreadful and should be avoided.)... Read more

Disorganised, expensive and unhelpful in the extreme to tenants. They've not responded regarding any faults, didn't fulfil promises about holes in the walls being fixed when moving in (still not fixed) and yet pester us like mad if they need something (e.g. inspection or gas certificate visits). They only chase land lords once a week and as of yet haven't returned an answer single enquiry regarding faults throughout our year with them, not one! Even the original advertisement was inaccurate. I strongly advise you try out private landlords through Gumtree before supporting this bunch of disorganised and rude collective.... Read more

Faster Than A Speeding Bullet..... Well, ok, maybe that's an exaggeration, and I have my doubts that either Ollie or Daryl could 'leap tall buildings in a single bound'. However, when it came to selling our property, they really were 'supermen'. Ollie came round and took photos on Thursday... property went on the market Friday... viewing on Saturday... and an offer for the full asking price received 9.30am on Monday. Throughout the process we were kept informed what was happening, and any questions we had were answered very quickly. Obviously they can't guarantee to sell all properties quite as quickly as this, but it's certainly worth giving them a try.... Read more

Appreciate this review comes amongst a lot of 5 star reviews but two things: firstly, we would have loved to have the experiences everyone else seems to have had and secondly, our experience completely legit. Initially Barton and Co were very personable, very keen to ingratiate themselves, presenting themselves as a tight-knit, homespun antidote to the more cavalier lettings agents that operate in the local area. However, once we were in the communication dried up once and we rarely received acknowledgement of our emails. Though they did replace our oven quickly when we moved in (they hadn't checked it worked before) we spent the rest of our tenancy with a radiator hanging off the wall at a 45 degree angle, amongst other issues. We were misled as to the nature of our landlords as despite being informed they wanted a professional couple as long-term tenants to look after their property, we were asked to leave the property after a year to vacate for a student let. We were informed we had the opportunity to extend our contract but this was unequivocally not the case, as our emails were never acknowledged and we were never advised of an alternative course of action. I'm sure it was incompetence rather than malice, but they would not accept any culpability nor would they meet personally to discuss. I've worked in both property maintenance and communications so I found their behaviour galling. Furthermore, this move derailed our efforts to save for a mortgage deposit as we were forced to waste it on another rental deposit. Appreciate the above might be a bonus for many buy-to-let landlords in terms of misleading and effectively dispatching tenants when a chance to increase their profits presents itself. But should the wind change in favour of legislation which actually protects tenants from the debilitating effects of cowboy landlords, outfits like these will be found out.... Read more

I found William’s Way to be very genuine and friendly. I trusted what they said and they delivered on their word. I was particularly impressed with the regular feedback I received. They were very proactive in keeping me updated and I was glad I didn’t have to chase them for feedback. If any issues arose in the process William’s Way acted quickly and pre-empted situations. I was happy to receive sound advice when making decisions, which helped the process run smoothly. I enjoyed the family run element to their business and felt connected with the staff. The experience was personal and positive. I would definitely recommend William’s Way to my friends and family. Thank you to all at William’s Way.... Read more
