1st Oct 2026 (14 days ago)This was our first viewing with Fine and Country and to say they were a breath of fresh air is an understatement. Unlike other agents we've viewed with, we were able to visit the property without being rushed and with no pushy sales tactics. This left us feeling welcomed and valued as a potential customer. Every member of staff we've dealt with has been polite, courteous and gone out of their way to be helpful and answer any questions we have. The whole process even started on a positive note as the photos taken to advertise the property were actually representative of what was there. Most other agents seem to use odd lenses and angles to give an unrealistic view of a property leading to instant disappointment when you arrive. That's not the case here. This is what other agents should aspire to be, welcoming, informed and helpful. We really cannot recommend them highly enough. We've dealt with both Alison and Sally and would would like to thank them both for all they've done. Superb.
28th Aug 2026 (7 weeks ago)We had an extremely disappointing experience with Brown & Co Estate Agents during the end of our tenancy.<br><br>They tried to claim a substantial amount from my deposit for issues that were entirely unreasonable, including the removal of an item of furniture that actually belonged to the property owner, alleged missing lightbulbs, and professional cleaning charges for the entire property including carpets that were nearly 20 years old and beyond life expectancy. Many of the deductions appeared to be aimed at improving the property for the landlord to sell, rather than fairly addressing genuine tenant wear and tear. It was particularly concerning that some of the extra items and the amount of money being claimed were added to throughout the process. The claims presented before and during the DPS dispute process were not entirely consistent, which raised questions about the validity of some of the deductions being sought.<br><br>Throughout the dispute, Josh Bailey's communication was often awkward with no negotiation skills, and there was a clear attempt to pursue claims for betterment rather than what was fair and reasonable under tenancy deposit rules. Rather than acting as an impartial agent, it seemed there was a deliberate focus on maximising the return to the landlord.<br><br>We were also disappointed by his handling of a small area of mould around the faulty hob extractor fan, as the problem was not addressed fairly or appropriately.<br><br>Fortunately, the Deposit Protection Service (DPS) reviewed the evidence independently and saw through many of the claims being made. The adjudicator recognised that the property had not been professionally cleaned when we moved in and rejected a significant proportion of the deductions being sought from our deposit.<br><br>Overall, the experience left us with little confidence in Brown & Co's ability to deal fairly and objectively with tenants. My advice to anyone renting through this agency would be to take extensive photographs at check-in and check-out, keep detailed records of all communication, and not be afraid to challenge deposit deductions through the DPS if you believe they are unfair.<br><br>Based on my experience, I would not recommend Brown & Co Estate Agents.

Ben Rivett was an invaluable source of advice, both at the planning and valuation stages. The quality of his recommendations helped us readily achieve a very good sale. Natalie Howlett- Clarke handled the negotiation and completion stages with great professionalism. Her communication and responsiveness were first rate. Moreover, I really enjoyed working with Ben and Natalie for their friendliness, honesty and good humour, as well as for their high level of professional capability.
8th Oct 2026 (7 days ago)We are looking to buy a shared ownership property and have already received an official Agreement in Principle from an independent mortgage advisor. However, the seller dismissively told us that we wouldn't be able to buy anything and shouldn't rely on information found online.<br>Despite having a valid, official mortgage proposal in hand, they keep insisting that their own in-house mortgage advisor assessed us as 'unaffordable.' It feels as though they are actively trying to force us to use their internal financial services by using disheartening and discouraging language about external buyers. We find this behavior completely unhelpful and unjustified.
29th Sep 2026 (16 days ago)After making an offer on a property, Attik encouraged us to put funds down for solicitors fees and affirmed that they had accepted our offer. After being left in the dark over a few days, they pull the rug from under us, with us wasting some money on solicitors fees.

Sam Callaghan was excellent, both when looking at the property and going through the process, very easy to communicate with and constantly helpful throughout. I would definitely recommend both Leaders and Sam.

It was a roller coaster of ups & downs, losing 2 buyers, before finally selling. Throughout this time Dominic, Will, Sue & Viola were there for us, keeping us positive and moving forward. 14th Sep 2026 (4 weeks ago)Musker McIntyre have been my lettings agents for over 10 years and I've had a great relationship with them, as my property over those years had no issues, this last year and a half I encountered many problems, with the help of Dawn and Grace, who had all manner of tradesmen on hand to help sort out and fix the many situations I had. They were quick on the phone , ready to assist and able to come up with solutions and to find a perfect new tenant as well. I couldn't had done this without them both and they continue to support me.

From accurate market knowledge and sensible price strategy we sold relatively quickly at the price we wanted , information on potential clients, viewings and best options for purchase were clearly explained and advised on, following sale agreement, the process was then followed up with excellent support and regular updates . Excellent service from start to finish. Thanks again

20th Aug 2026 (8 weeks ago)We couldn’t recommend Stobart & Hurrell highly enough after they handled the sale of our home.<br><br>Having lived there for over 11 years, selling the house and moving on was a huge step for us as a family, and from the very beginning the team were fantastic. They were professional, friendly, knowledgeable and, most importantly, always there when we needed them.<br><br>The whole process was handled brilliantly. Communication was excellent throughout, we were kept informed at every stage, and whenever the inevitable stresses of moving house cropped up, we always felt we had someone on our side helping to keep things moving.<br><br>What really stood out was the personal service. From our first contact & meeting with Fin, who is a credit to the team, never have I met such an enthusiastic and personable representative of an estate agency.<br><br>I also want to thank Oli & Zak, always there, whenever needed.<br><br>We never felt like just another house on the market, they genuinely cared about the sale and about getting us to the finish line.<br><br>After 11 very happy years in our home, it was quite emotional handing over the keys and closing that chapter, but we couldn’t have asked for a better team to help us do it.<br><br>A huge thank you to everyone at Stobart & Hurrell. 25th Sep 2026 (20 days ago)It has to be said that this delightful estate agent sets an industry standard that all other estate agents should aspire to! For around a year, and using one initial small agent then a national agent, I was endeavouring to sell my lovely home. Sadly their efforts were mediocre and the national agent was ridiculous - peppered with mistakes all through the six months I was with them. Then a friend persuaded me to consider Seftons as they had just sold two houses fairly quickly with them. How I wish I had used them first! The difference from day one was incredible and so refreshing. A wonderful, enthusiastic team, superb photography, outstanding marketing ( including the best floor plan I had seen) and a real understanding of pairing the right people with the property. After a few viewings I very quickly had a really good offer which I accepted. Now here’s where they outdid themselves. Due to problems at the bottom of the chain and many delays, Seftons were constantly following up and chasing on my behalf throughout the whole process. They were answering questions that my solicitors could not which was very reassuring. A huge thank you to the whole team with a special mention to Suzanne and Charlotte for their unwavering support. I cannot recommend Seftons highly enough. Absolutely brilliant. Fiona D
