2nd Sep 2026 (14 days ago)I contacted Acorn after my three-bedroom flat in Telegraph Hill had been on the market with another agent for over a year without selling. Within hours, Nellie had arranged a valuation. The team even spotted and resolved a boiler problem that was causing an alarm to sound—something the previous agent had never flagged.<br><br>Nellie clearly explained how Acorn would market the flat and present it to prospective buyers. Their knowledge of the area and straightforward approach gave me confidence, and after comparing three local agents, I chose Acorn.<br><br>Within two weeks, they had secured three qualified offers, all within the agreed price range and one at the asking price. Nellie talked me carefully through each offer and helped me make an informed decision.<br><br>The legal process was slow, but Nellie and Hannah did a fantastic job of keeping it moving, chasing when necessary and helping to unblock issues whenever things threatened to stall. Their communication throughout was excellent: proactive, clear and focused on getting the sale through to exchange.<br><br>After my experience with the previous agent, I cannot recommend Nellie, Hannah and the team at Acorn Brockley highly enough. They have been absolutely brilliant!

She handled our onward purchase, but it felt like she was managing the whole chain.<br><br>With a chain above and below us, she was the one who made the difference - professional, pragmatic and proactive. He also had a very good understanding of the property and local area. I would highly recommend!

4th Oct 2024 (1 year ago)has been abit of a rollercoaster with trying to get the sale moving and underway,but thanks to matteo and Alex neil, everything went according to plan. Matteo has been a great help, very responsive to emails and calls and even managed to assist with last minute emergencies which the buyer placed upon us in the last minute/days, but chaos was averted, thanks to matteo, professional, efficient and reliable. 2nd Sep 2026 (14 days ago)I can’t recommend Phil Cantwell at Your Move in New Cross highly enough. He was absolutely fantastic throughout the whole process — competent, responsive, proactive, kind, and professional.<br><br>The sale turned out to be much more complicated than expected, with legal difficulties meaning that the process took over two years to complete. Throughout that entire time, Phil stayed in touch, kept me updated and did everything he could to keep things moving along. Even though I was dealing with everything internationally, his communication was excellent and I always felt that things were being looked after. He made what could have been an extremely stressful experience feel remarkably stress-free. I genuinely don’t know what I would have done without him.<br><br>Phil also went far beyond what I would normally expect from an estate agent. He was incredibly helpful with all sorts of practical things that I would normally have dealt with myself if I had been in London — from replacing batteries in smoke detectors to meeting contractors and helping coordinate things on my behalf.<br><br>He was an absolute delight to deal with: warm, friendly, dependable, and always willing to go the extra mile. I’m incredibly grateful for all his help and would wholeheartedly recommend Phil to anyone looking for an estate agent.

Disorganised agency.<br><br>We travelled specifically for one viewing with them, only to arrive and be told by the agent that he couldn’t get the keys because the tenant hadn’t shown up. Why is the tenant handing over the keys at the exact same time potential buyers are turning up for a viewing? Surely this should be sorted beforehand so there’s time to deal with any issues and so you’re not wasting people’s time.<br><br>I’ve now asked Barnard Marcus to show me the property instead, as they also have it listed on Rightmove.<br><br>Before this I was accidentally booked into the wrong viewings and received confirmation emails/texts for properties I’d never agreed to view, followed by various cancellation emails and back-and-forth to get things corrected. I was repeatedly bombarded with emails from their mailing list despite unsubscribing and I had to email two different people more than once asking for the emails to stop.<br><br>I am really put off booking anymore viewings with this agency

3rd Sep 2026 (13 days ago)As a newcomer to the UK it can be overwhelming on how to purchase a home when the process is so different from what I am used to. Luckily it felt like we found a good agent to help us along the way; Florence from Chestertons.<br><br>While it is an odd process to deal with a sell side agent directly, I never felt there was any conflict of interest - she was fair and straightforward. Florence was also available to field questions I had thru the process which eased our anxieties.<br><br>I maintain that the whole process here is strange and I would suggest to folks that you should really agonize over the survey (this is my main regret as we have had many things pop up since owning our home despite getting the highest level survey completed) but the help I got from Florence/Chestertons made the purchasing process specifically much less of a stressful situation than I had been warned to expect here in the UK.
