5th Mar 2026 (5 weeks ago)Appalling handling of tenancy deposit — avoid We vacated our property at Masters Court, Harrow on 30 January 2026 in good condition, and over a month later we have still not received our deposit back. The handling of this entire process by Connells has been deeply disappointing. Despite sending multiple emails and attempting to call numerous times, we have received nothing but vague responses saying they are "still liaising with the former landlord." No clear timeline, no transparency, and no accountability. Phone calls have gone unanswered, and no direct contact number has been provided despite requests. The items flagged in the checkout report are standard fair wear and tear under TDS guidelines — minor wall marks, limescale build-up typical of Harrow's hard water, None of these justify withholding our deposit. To make matters worse, wife is 24 weeks pregnant, and the unnecessary financial stress caused by this prolonged delay has had a real impact on her mental health and wellbeing. This is completely unacceptable. We have now raised a formal dispute through the tenancy deposit scheme, which should never have been necessary. We have never experienced such poor deposit handling with any previous letting agency. If you are a prospective tenant — be warned. We would strongly recommend looking elsewhere.

We initially spoke with several agencies and spent around six months looking before making a decision. Ali was the only one who never gave up. He consistently arranged viewings, kept us fully updated on new properties coming to market, and stayed patient despite all our changing requirements. In the end, he found exactly what we were looking for. His experience really shows, and we felt completely confident that we would secure the right property through him. If you’re looking in Finchley Central, he’s definitely the agent to go to.

27th Mar 2026 (10 days ago)TK International (specifically Daniel Epstein) made the byzantine buying process in London so much easier. After touring many properties in London and dealing with pushy or unscrupulous agents, Daniel was a relief to deal with. We toured a fantastic property with him, and not once did we feel pressured or tricked. He was honest about issues and open to working with us and the seller to reach agreement. After offer, he made himself available for guidance on the process and ensured that things went smoothly. Highly recommend working with TK!

23rd Mar 2026 (14 days ago)On a good note, the office staff are very helpful and were quick to help and had good communication. On the other hand, had a viewing today at a property and honestly I’ve never had such an experience with a housing agent. I’m still confused to be honest. 1. Attended the property and the agent didn’t even greet or clarify who I was. The first thing she said to me was “You can’t park there please use the parking at the display over there as there’s traffic wardens”. Fair enough and appreciative, once I parked and met up with the estate agent she didn’t introduce herself and she didn’t clarify who I was so I could’ve been a stranger. Basic customer service couldn’t even be met. 2. A viewing has been booked in for a property that is getting work done to it, again… confused. I travelled over an hour to a property that was being painted when I was there so I couldn’t even see the property properly due to all the works going on. (Staff were lovely that were working so not a remark against them but I would hope if you’re going to visit a potential home you would be informed if there’s work going on so you can decide whether it’s worth the trip or not. 3. I’ve been to viewings before and this was honestly the worst experience. I felt uncomfortable from the beginning to the end of my interaction. There was no follow up, no questions just bye and that’s it. The whole viewing was just awkward if that’s the best way to describe it. Thanks to the reception staff that helped me out prior to my viewing and for their kindness and support in answering questions I had previously.

Mariam has been so incredible my parents sadly had water leak at residential property I need to find them alternative accommodation Mariam has stayed in touch until she found them the perfect place to rent. She kept me up to date from start to finish making this such a smooth process for my parents at such a difficult time and she is so polite and professional absolute asset to the company and I work for Lloyds banking group so recognition is so important when you have been given attention and service like this I would recommend Mariam and Charles Henry Peppiatt for helping find the ideal place but without Mariam being so efficient this would have not been so easy. I will definitely give her details to anyone I know looking for property.

Very clear communication, honesty, fast responses and all round great customer service. Would recommend Roundtree and especially Lisa if you’re in the market for the property!

18th Mar 2024 (2 years ago)DO NOT SELL YOUR BUSINESS THROUGH THIS COMPANY! READ THE SMALL PRINT This company are extremely aggressive and unprofessional. We advertised a business with them, paid an huge fee to advertise. Later after terminating, we agreed investment (not even a sale) from an investor we met directly, who was never introduced by Hilton Smythe. After accepting investment after terminating with Hilton Smythe they demanded their commission!! Totally unreasonable given it was after termination and the person who invested in our business was never known to or introduced by Hilton Smythe! They are now behaving aggressively and threatening legal action. We in turn have reported them to the ombudsman and trading standards. They are snake oil salesmen. DO NOT DEAL!

The process with Yolanda was finalised after some delays with the contract including follow-ups regarding utility inclusions. While Yolanda was friendly, more proactive communication would have made the experience much smoother for a new tenant. Glad everything is now sorted and looking forward to the move!
