She always provides fair advice on repair responsibilities and works hard to minimise unnecessary costs while ensuring the property is well maintained. Her proactive approach and excellent communication give me great peace of mind. I highly recommend her services.

26th Jun 2026 (12 weeks ago)I had a very disappointing experience with a property marketed by John D Wood & Co. Estate Agents (Wandsworth).<br><br>Initially, Poppy Martin was very helpful and responsive throughout the viewing and application process, which gave us confidence in proceeding. However, after our offer was accepted, we were informed that all payments and tenancy arrangements would be handled directly by the landlord rather than the agency. This was never made clear at the outset.<br><br>We had already submitted our personal and financial information to the agent, including payslips, bank statements, passports, proof of address, P60s, and our guarantor’s personal and financial details. Despite this, the landlord requested the same documents again, followed by further demands for over a year’s worth of our guarantor’s financial records, including payslips, bank statements, and P60s.<br><br>We also discovered that deposits were to be paid to a business account managed by a third-party company, which had not been disclosed by the agent. When we requested evidence of their data protection compliance, we were initially provided with an expired certificate and generic documents, which further undermined our confidence.<br><br>At this stage, we no longer felt comfortable sharing additional financial information. As a result, our £311 holding deposit was retained. We felt pressured into providing excessive personal data under the threat of losing our deposit.<br><br>Overall, the process lacked transparency, involved repeated requests for financial and personal information, and left us feeling misled. This was a stressful and disappointing experience, and I hope future applicants are given clearer information before committing to the process.

When we began our search, we enquired with a number of agents and he was by far the most informed, knowledgeable and responsive.<br><br>It was clear that he really knew the properties we visited, as well as the local areas and market conditions (no “I’ll need to go away and confirm that”). If we did ask anything obscure, he was quick to find the answer and get it to us promptly and clearly.<br><br>Our search was made so much easier by Jonti. He knew what we were looking for, and respected our time by only showing us the properties which met our specifications. He has, in our experience of dealing with agents, a rare and admirable quality which is not to oversell listings. The phrase “no BS” springs to mind. In the end, he found us a great property, and we were delighted to make an offer on the same day, thanks to all of the information Jonti was able to share at the viewing.<br><br>Throughout the sale, Jonti was calm, responsive and reassuring. He never rushed us or encouraged us to make decisions solely for the sake of progressing the sale. Instead, he helped us make informed decisions at every stage, and we always felt confident in the advice he gave. His level of judgement and maturity made him seem far more experienced than his years in the industry would suggest.<br><br>We asked a lot of questions throughout the process, and Jonti never made us feel like we were a nuisance. He was always happy to answer them thoughtfully and thoroughly, even when we were discussing the finer points of the contract towards the very end of the transaction.<br><br>Thank you, Jonti!

18th Aug 2026 (4 weeks ago)Extremely disappointing experience with this agency. The staff are unprofessional, overstep boundaries, and still fail to provide even a basic level of service. Communication is poor, the attitude towards clients leaves a lot to be desired, and the overall organisation is terrible. After this experience, I would definitely not use them again. I do not recommend this agency.

They kept everything moving smoothly, communicated clearly, and were always available to help whenever I had questions. It only took 2 weeks from beginning to end - I’m very happy with the service I received and would highly recommend this agency to anyone looking for a rental property! A special thanks to Georgia, who was incredibly efficient/professional and helped me find a property after a long & tedious 2 months search ??????

I posted this in 2022 but it was somehow deleted so I’m posting it again.<br>We found the Belvoir office in Carshalton Beeches to be very inexperienced - the owner and staff are new to the business and when things go wrong they have no idea how to handle it. Their vetting/referencing processes were totally inadequate. We have lost over £10,000 in unpaid rent, cleaning and legal costs as a result or their inadequate referencing. Belvoir, and their referencing agent Let Alliance, gave our prospective tenants a “pass” on the referencing report and it subsequently turned out that those prospective tenants had faked their payslips, faked their employment and were fraudsters! Belvoir/Let Alliance refused to acknowledge their mistake or accept liability. We will NEVER use Belvoir again, nor any letting agent that uses Let Alliance as a referencing agent.

It was due to her thoughtfulness that I was able to view the apartment in the first place and she was helpful every step of the way in the rental process. Would highly recommend working with her!

From start to finish, their professionalism, expertise, and customer service have been first-class. Communication's always been excellent. Quick responses, clear answers, and nothing's ever too much trouble. It's rare to find a letting agency that truly puts customer care at the heart of what they do, but they do. Highly recommended, a fantastic team.

They were honest and realistic about the price and expectations, which gave me confidence from the start and made the whole process straightforward.<br><br>A special mention has to go to Nathan Robinson, who was absolutely superb throughout. He was courteous, friendly and professional, and genuinely went above and beyond to help us. Nothing ever felt like too much trouble, and he was a pleasure to deal with from start to finish.<br><br>We would happily recommend the team, and particularly Nathan, to anyone looking to sell their property.

Charles is super attentive, responsive and so friendly and personable. Anything I needed, any question I needed answering (and I had a fair few), Charles was always there to help with a smile. Thanks to Marriott Vernon I have found my dream home and I'm so appreciative of how they dealt with the process (and me!). Also special mention to Alison & Ian who also assisted me in the progression of the sale - both super lovely and helpful. I would highly recommend this agency.
