2nd Mar 2025 (1 year ago)My communication with Winkworth was on and off. During that intermittent interaction with one of their agent, he sounded professional and very eager to assist with the selling. Overall Winkworth tried their best to sell my property but unfortunately was unsuccessful.
3rd Jun 2026 (20 days ago)We chose Ellis & Co Kenton as the agency for our first rented property. Unfortunately, our experience was very disappointing. Within three months of moving in, several maintenance issues began to arise. Although one or two minor issues were addressed, many others remained unresolved despite repeated requests. Some repairs were promised within a week of moving in, but even after a full year, they were never completed. When it came time to renew the tenancy, the agency wanted to increase the rent. We agreed to the increase on the condition that the outstanding maintenance issues would finally be resolved. Instead, we were informed that the landlord wanted the property back for renovation and were given notice to leave. While I understand that landlords have the right to regain possession of their property, being asked to leave after only one year was extremely stressful for my wife and me. We had settled into the property and invested in furniture, expecting to stay much longer. Having to search for a new home during Ramadan while fasting was particularly difficult. As both of us work full-time during the week, we only had weekends available to view properties. The sudden need to find a new home, move out, and settle elsewhere caused significant stress and emotional distress. My wife's health was affected by the situation and she continues to experience issues related to the stress it caused. We repeatedly asked the agency to discuss our concerns with the landlord, but we felt that they consistently sided with the landlord and provided very little support to us as tenants. Overall, this was a very disappointing experience, and we did not feel valued or supported as tenants.

She kept everything clear, responded quickly and made the whole process feel smooth and well handled. I really appreciated her support and would happily recommend Ashdown Marks.

2nd Jan 2022 (4 years ago)We used Classic Lofts for our loft (and to reconfigure a bedroom and shower room into study and bathroom) in 2019. Whilst they weren't perfect (show me a builder which is!), the project only overran slightly, was done to a good standard and snagging was dealt with by Bernard snr very effectively and they put something right when asked. We have since used another company and have had a terrible experience, so thought I would leave a review having realised Classic were pretty good all in all.

My son offered in January 2025 with the hope of completing before the increase in stamp duty. It was a tall order! But Jay kept everyone informed about the negotiations, pushed where he needed to push. Always available at the end of the phone. Perfect. Thank you!!

As someone new to the country, I had many questions, and they were incredibly kind and patient, always ready to assist. The agent we worked with was very knowledgeable and made the entire moving process smooth and hassle-free. Our landlord was also thoughtful enough to leave us items to help us settle in, which was such a warm welcome. I am very thankful for their wonderful service and would highly recommend them to anyone looking for a reliable and supportive letting agency.
