There were some quite difficult aspects involved and these were handled professionally, as well as courteously, by Andrea Frigo, the lead conveyancer. The result was a successful sale, satisfactory to all parties. We would not hesitate for a second to use this company again or to recommend it to others.

They were great from start to finish — always quick to reply, super helpful, and on top of everything. They kept things moving, chased when needed, and made the whole experience much less stressful than it could have been. Really appreciated how responsive and proactive they both were. Would happily recommend them to anyone buying or selling. Thanks again!
26th Mar 2026 (9 days ago)Malcolm was extremely helpful and efficient along with the rest of the team. After a prompt visit for the valuation, photos were then taken, the sales brochure was produced the same day and the property appeared on RightMove that afternoon. Viewings were almost immediate (they were very accommodating in being present at viewings with my elderly Mum) and we were kept up to date with feedback instantly. Louise in the office was very helpful (as was everyone I dealt with). Any phone calls or emails were answered promptly by the friendly team. Everything went very smoothly and I would have no hesitation in recommending them.

5th Mar 2026 (30 days ago)Recently bought a house through David Evans & Co and dealt mainly with Mark. He was brilliant from start to end! Such great communication and a pleasure to deal with. So much better than the estate agent I was selling with, which was one of the big London agents and really didn't care. You could tell that Mark's clients matter to him. If I sell this house in future, I will 100% be using David Evans & Co to sell it.

5th Sep 2023 (2 years ago)Amazingly bad service We rented a complete owned property for just over 2 years. In that time we had about 5 property managers. This should say all you need to know. Each one not knowing what had gone on before. Given the fact a week before we thought we were moving in we had to chase them to find out nothing had moved forward and they were waiting on us to send documentation (we were not told). Throughout the 2 years they were never really there to help you. After we have left they have tried to keep around 75% of our deposit which is absolutely insane. Missing furniture that never existed in the first place, the most expensive cleaning quote imaginable and £50 to remove a single chair. These are some of the excuses on the quote. Try and avoid complete properties when possible!!

Mo is so responsive and very efficient in getting things sorted out any problems/queries. Our flat was absolutely spotless the day we moved in which is such a breath of fresh air as other companies we have rented through before have never done this well. We’ve been so impressed by the service given to us and would definitely recommend them to anyone renting.

I've tried reaching out to you but you never answer left messages for Eric and Ezgi - UNPROFESSIONAL I understand you and some members where off sick but everytime I drove past your office I could see everyone in the office present and working just not answering my call or messages which makes it more unprofessional . I did CALL and try reach out to you and still no response i left whats app messages on two seperate occasions and two different people still no response so from my point of view I was certainly patient and went above and beyond to try get a response from you which never came until I left a review then the response came instantly My main purpose was to sell the property and whilst working with you I felt the only thing you wanted to do was rent my property out for short let's at rock bottom prices which I certainly said no too especially at the low ball figures you offered me( very low figures borderline disturbing) I'm glad I got my property sold with another agent I believe being honest and transparent is very important in this field which I believe in my opinion I didn't receive from you as an agent We all make mistakes if you owned the mistake and apolisged for ignoring me then we could have resolved this Instanly but to say people where sick when I could see them working in the office has certainly left me disappointed in my humble opinion- 28th Jan 2026 (9 weeks ago)Fuse box was burning and nothing was done after reporting several times, had to call fire brigade 2 days later, whereby they confirmed it was still a massive fire risk (Truepennys did not act when 15 people’s lives were at risk due to a serious fire hazard). I was put in a temporary room with no power, light, heating during cold temperatures outside (I was freezing - -1 degrees outside) - and instead of helping they ceased to act on my behalf, and cancelled the contract. This left me with no one to communicate with, as they refused to speak to me on the phone from thereon after. I was left in a flat with no power and me and my girlfriend had to sleep at a friend’s house, as it did not seem safe but TruePennys didn’t care. The directors refused to speak to me after agreeing to call me back 5 times - truly shameful and Truepennys should be really disappointed with how they treat people. They never reply on emails or on the phone. They are now refusing to release my security deposit and ignoring emails. This along with mice issues, bathroom smells and dodgy fridges and ovens which were reported for the entirety of our tenancy and nothing was done. However, not responding to a life threatening incident is disgusting by all accounts.

His professionalism and attention to detail really stood out. I would not hesitate to recommend him to anyone in need of a reliable and skilled estate agent.- 16th Mar 2026 (19 days ago)Very unprofessional conduct from John Payne Estate Agents. As estate agents they should know the regulations, including that only one board per building is allowed and boards should be removed within 14 days after a sale under the Town and Country Planning Regulations. Multiple boards were left outside our building at 41 Wellington Street (SE18) for over a year. Two boards had previously fallen and could have seriously injured someone if a pedestrian had been walking there at the time. One has since been removed, but several boards remain fixed along the fence and two more are lying in the landscaping. This level of negligence is concerning and does not inspire trust in the professionalism of this agent. The issue will be reported to the Royal Borough of Greenwich council.

He made everything smooth and stress-free, with no delays or complications at any stage. All promises were kept, communication was clear, and he ensured that everything was handled properly and on time. The apartment was handed over in excellent condition, clean, and exactly as expected. It was clear that attention to detail and good management were a priority.
