Fantastic customer service - can’t fault. We dealt with the wonderful Scott whilst looking for our dream flat, not only was Scott extremely professional, he was such a genuine guy who wanted to make sure we had what we wanted. We then also dealt with Poppy who helped us with absolutely everything. Due to the fact it was the first time renting, Poppy helped us and explained everything fully to us. Both of them were always on the end of the phone when we needed them. They went out of their way to make sure we were completely satisfied & still to this day they made it clear that we could call them anytime. We will definitely be using Hamptons in the near future. Thanks guys :)
Awful service from day one. Lied to about planning permission. Never wanted to help us with any issue in the house as they and the landlord obviously knew it was going to be knocked down. The dangerous electrics in the house being the major issue as well as a worrying smell of gas from one of he cupboards. Also was charged a disgusting amount for a reference when leaving the property, when all they did was answer a phone call and say ‘yes he paid his rent on time’.
Overall I plea anyone looking to use Hamptons, not to.
We bought our first house via Arthur Samuel and would definitely recommend them. Our main contact, Stuart, was easy to contact and kept us in the loop throughout the whole process. I felt that he was acting fairly for both ourselves and the sellers and did a great job of acting as go between us and our solicitors. We will certainly look to use Arthur Samuel the next time we move.
Very poor service form this estate agent, in particular from Stuart, the owner. In my experience in dealing with them, they conducted themselves in a very unprofessional manner. We were interested in a property in Walton On Thames for sale with Arthur Samuel. From earlier on in our dealings, it seemed that Stuart preferred to deal with other prospective buyers that were in the exact same financial situation as us. We made a number of offers on the house and some of the reasons he gave us for declining our offers were simply ridiculous. Our second offer was declined on the grounds that it took us 9 days from viewing the property for the first time until making an offer. I have never heard of an offer being declined because it took too long (9 days!) to make it. This wasn’t even our first offer!
Stuart promised he would call us back after we made one of our offers, but he never did. The following day he wasnt available to answer the phone and he never called back. It was clear that he didn’t want to deal with us and he didn’t have the decency to answer our calls or call us back.
In the end the seller lost a few thousand pounds as we were offering more money that the other buyers. If I was selling a property, I would think carefully before putting my property for sale with a estate agent that does not put the sellers interest first.
Independent estate agents can provide a very good service, but if anything goes wrong, there’s really no one to complaint to (in this case, the person we were dealing with is the owner of the company), appart from the property ombudsman.
First time property purchase. Found Leaders to be a very professional Estate Agents - Fleur in particular, who often went above and beyond to help guide us through the process. Would wholeheartedly recommend their services.
Leaders Lettings Dept when you are a new tenant appear on the surface to be good in terms of arranging viewings, starting a tenancy and moving in. However, this is a ploy to extract whatever they can from you in fees and charges. Once you are a tenant their customer service disappears, they are rude, unprofessional and unhelpful. When your tenancy ends Leaders will try every possible underhanded method of extracting yet more in their overpriced and unnecessary fees and delaying the return of a substantial deposit. All of this is coupled with their atrocious service. Avoid at all costs - there is an abundance of better estate agents in Walton on Thames and the surrounding area.
Grosvenor Biillinghurst were so professional, helpful and diligent in their help to find me a place. Their polite staff were always happy to discuss all options and routes that were best for me and they remained throughout the process professional, providing a great service. Thanks!
Emma Horsnell Shave in the sales team was excellent to deal with, they would get 5 stars.
Letting team not so great still waiting the return of my rental deposit they would only get 1star as its taken so long and leaves a bad taste.
So averages down to 3 stars.
On entering their “emporium “ I was made to feel very welcome indeed by both Naz and Andrew.
They are incredibly professional in their working environment and totally lovely as people.
They have both been in the business long enough to understand all the things the general buying /selling folk hate about estate agents and treat customers like they are the only customers on their books at that time .
We had the most superb efficient friendly and speedy service from Miles and Bird and in fact with their help and contacts were in our new home within 6 weeks!!
Thank you Naz and Andrew for being diligent efficient fast and of course super friendly and kind.
I have 12 properties and will NEVER go through another agent again.
Well done and all the praise is well deserved.
I'd love to be more positive, but initial impressions really weren't helped by a set of Property Search listings which, frankly, look as if they've been flung together by an 11-year-old during school breaktime, and which are littered with basic grammatical and spelling errors. When you're asking a sophisticated urban clientele to part with upwards of £1.5 million a throw, that kind of qualitative deficit represents a level of professionalism, finesse and even basic competence which, sadly, falls far short of any minimum acceptable standard.
