I recently used Martin Flashman for my house purchase. As with my previous experiences, the team were friendly and very responsive. The whole process was smooth and communication was open and honest. I would not hesitate in recommending them and would certainly use their services again in the future.
After listing a property with Martin Flashman, who had tied me into a 6-MONTH contract, I found it to be a very disappointing service. After 2-months on the market they got me an offer of £200k. I told them that was so insulting that it didn't deserve a reply, and when I spoke to Martin Flashman to ask why they would encourage such a low offer, his reply was that I can go and list it with someone else if I want to, but he has a 6-month contract and if I sell it through someone else, I'll be paying 2 estate agents fees. I waited for that contract to expire before I sold the house in Feb, 2010 through Gascoigne & Pees and they found me a buyer who met the full asking price of £250k within 2-weeks!
I had bought through Martin Flashman before and I generally value the idea of dealing with small businesses because I appreciate being able to speak directly to the boss. However, these are not the sort of folks I'd advise selling through, not if you want either a fair price, or a timely transaction. I can only speak for myself, but I will never sell through MF again, and I can't say I found Mr Flashman to be the sort of person I'd want to be dealing with ever again.
Had a terrible experience with Rochills. They will keep on extracting money at slightest of pretext. They will not heed to any repair request and the management of property will be in shambles thereby causing a health risk. Your deposit will never be the returned at end of the tenancy.
Avoid this real estate agency for peace of mind.
Thank you Warren for enabling the smooth purchase of our property. At all times you delivered a highly professional service and guided the process to conclusion. We would certainly recommend you and agree that you certainly are 'Mr Burwood Park!'
After getting off to a decidedly shaky start, with what can only be described as two of the worst estate agent chains I have ever encountered, I stumbled into Curchods and was greeted by Jake Wood. He listened attentively to my lengthy property wish list, and from that moment on he tailored the viewings accordingly to ensure that he didn't waste anyone's time. Not long after, whilst the jokers in the pack were adopting a total scattergun approach to selling houses, we found a property which ticked all of our boxes. It hasn't been plain sailing, far from it, but Jake has kept us updated throughout and held the chain together, which has been no mean feat. Having now exchanged and due to complete in the next 2 weeks, I am so thankful that I walked into Curchods and allowed them to manage the search for us. Thank you Curchods and thank you Jake!
I had a great experience with Castle and Wildish. I rented the property right after they put the peoperty on the market. No pain, always happy faces and full support! Special thanks to Dear Julian!!!
Wouldn't recommend anyone to rent a property through these guys. They took 4 months to attend to the damp issue in our bathroom and at the interim inspection didn't follow through any of the things that needed fixing then had the cheek to put up the rent for a 2nd year! On leaving the property they completely disregarded the independent inventory check charging us £120 for something that was not damaged. Despite disputing it they said that the landlord required the money and in order to close the matter quickly we had better pay now before they got quotes for the work. This is blackmail and theft!!!!
