12th Oct 2026 (20 days ago)Definitely the best letting agency we have ever had!<br>We spent 3 wonderful years in our flat and would like to say a huge thank you to Kate, Jordan and the entire Cedar team.<br><br>Throughout our tenancy, whenever we needed any repairs or maintenance, Kate always responded quickly and arranged everything without any hassle.<br><br>During our second year, we had an issue with the dishwasher. They arranged a visit straight away and, as the dishwasher was quite old, quickly decided to replace it with a brand-new one. They also offered us a much better sofa they had available when the original one was getting quite old, which we really appreciated and enjoyed!<br>The whole team was always helpful, responsive and happy to assist with anything we needed.<br>We always felt very well looked after as tenants.<br><br>Towards the end of our tenancy, they also went out of their way to help find a new tenant quickly so that we could move out earlier than planned. They didn’t have to do this, so we really appreciated their help and flexibility.<br><br>If we ever move back to the West Hampstead/Kilburn area, Cedar will definitely be the first agency we contact. We would happily recommend them to anyone looking to rent in the area.<br><br>Thank you so much, Kate, Jordan and the whole Cedar team, for looking after us so well over the past 3 years! ??

7th Oct 2026 (25 days ago)**UPDATE following Mile Estates’ response:**<br><br>Their response rather proves my point.<br><br>Apparently 16 days was “far too short” for me to assess their service, but 15 days was enough for Mile Estates to decide there was a “fundamental misalignment” because I kept asking them to correct listing errors and explain what they were actually doing.<br><br>I had to chase mistakes, ask for the tailored marketing strategy I was sold, and ask where the “active buyers” were that I had been told in writing were already looking for a property like mine at my price point.<br><br>So: over-promise to win the instruction, fail to deliver, then label the client “too involved” for asking where the promised service and buyers are.<br><br>I even gave Mile Estates the chance to reset; instead I got a dismissive response and more talk of £480,000 based on an unrelated Ladbroke Grove property. Ending the agreement was no favour, I was ending it anyway.<br><br>This was never about expecting a sale in 16 days. It was about expecting an estate agent to provide the service it sold. Everything above is documented in writing.<br><br>My original review stands.<br>——————<br>Original Review:<br><br>Mile Estates sold me a completely different service from the one they actually delivered.<br><br>I am fully aware this is a difficult market. That is exactly why I instructed an agent who claimed to offer tailored strategy, strong marketing and sold me on having actual active buyers for my type of property. I was given a £535k valuation and told they had buyers who matched the flat.<br><br>In reality, I handed them virtually everything: professional photography, floorplan and marketing material already done. Despite that, the listing still went live with mistakes, incorrect filters and poor attention to detail, and I had to spend my own time checking and correcting work that should never have needed correcting.<br><br>When I then asked perfectly reasonable questions about the tailored strategy I had supposedly bought into- who was being targeted, what outreach was happening, what buyer feedback had come back, what the data actually showed- suddenly my “level of involvement” was apparently not the right fit.<br><br>That was extraordinary, because the things I was asking for were exactly the things they promote themselves as doing.<br><br>There was almost no interest in creative marketing, social media, proactive outreach, buyer targeting or anything beyond portal performance. The conversation quickly became: Rightmove and Zoopla views are not converting after 9 days, therefore the price must be wrong.<br><br>After barely any time on the market, the answer was already a significant reduction, with a suggestion that the property was really closer to £480k, based in part on a materially different block out in Ladbroke grove, not remotely comparable in product, presentation or buyer profile.<br><br>That is the wider issue I now have with too many local agents. The market is already difficult enough. Sellers do not need agents making it worse by only relying on portals, doing minimal proactive work and then reaching immediately for price reductions because that is the easiest route to getting a deal done.<br><br>Of course a heavily discounted property will attract bargain hunters. That does not mean it has been marketed well or sold properly.<br><br>And every unnecessarily low sale becomes the next comparable, which then gets used to pressure the next seller lower. That is how entire buildings and eventually whole parts of Kensal Rise get dragged down.<br><br>If you are selling a very high-value property, perhaps the experience is different. But for ordinary sellers below that level, I would expect far more strategy, care and actual work than I received here. It also took over 1 month and 3 follow ups to get anyone to get back to me about an initial conversation to sell my home. I should have known then that this was not an agency that was going to give my sale the level of attention, strategy or urgency it needed.

15th Oct 2026 (17 days ago)I’ve had a really positive experience with this estate agent and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend them.<br><br>In particular, Greta and Miriam on the property management team have been absolutely outstanding. They are super efficient, friendly, approachable and, most importantly, they actually get things done! Nothing ever seems too much trouble, and it’s so reassuring to know that any queries or issues are dealt with quickly and professionally.<br><br>They are a real credit to the company and make the whole renting experience so much easier and more enjoyable. It’s refreshing to deal with people who genuinely care about providing a great service.<br><br>A huge thank you to Greta and Miriam — you are both fantastic!
30th Jul 2026 (13 weeks ago)Based on my personal experience, I would encourage landlords to exercise caution when considering this agent.<br><br>In my case, I have had to commence legal proceedings after rent was collected from my tenant but was not passed on to me.<br><br>Despite several reminders, I have not received the outstanding rent. I have also experienced delays in receiving rental statements and found communication regarding property management to be disappointing.<br><br>Overall, my experience with communication and customer service has fallen well below my expectations, and I no longer have confidence in the current management.<br><br>I would recommend that anyone considering this agent carries out thorough due diligence before making a decision and also considers other reputable letting agents with a strong track record.

If I'm honest, I was not expecting the quality of service I got, because the flat I was selling is a relatively low-value property; I figured the team would save their energy for homes nearer the top end of the market, but they absolutely did not. Initially I got a realistic idea of likely selling price from Charlie, who was both helpful and knowledgeable (he clearly knew my market segment). Senan did the first viewing ... and then I started to worry if I'd made the right decision about my agent because then Richard brought someone round, and then Pierce - where was the consistency, and how would this impact my customer service? Turns out I was completely wrong in my assumptions: all three members of the sales team gave me nothing but excellent support, and they also kept in touch with each other about what progress was being made so service was seamless whoever I spoke to. Once I had an offer, they were brilliant liaising with the buyer; and - critically - they gave me timely and well-placed advice to ensure that I could move things along as quickly as possible at my end when other organisations were causing delays. Not only did I get first-class service but the whole team are as friendly a bunch as you could wish for. I recommend them wholeheartedly (I never thought I would ever say that about an estate agent!) and would choose them again every time.

Stewart has such knowledge and expertise of the housing market and is so friendly, professional and approachable. Despite the difficult market/climate, Stewart did his upmost to get a good sale for us and we are so grateful that Estate Agents like him exist. I cannot recommend him highly enough!
