15th Apr 2026 (9 weeks ago)I approached this agent first when looking to rent and although there was a very speedy view of a nearby flat, I was given the hard sell approach. I was bombarded with calls, texts and emails not only about the flat I viewed (tried to get me to do a 2nd viewing) but from other offices regarding property that wasn't suitable. I think this approach doesn't help anyone - either agent or client.

What really stood out was the good knowledge of both the building and the area (not an experience I had with other estate agents!). I also felt throughout the process they helped in smoothing things over, right to the very end. Would definitely recommend!
26th Oct 2024 (1 year ago)Unprofessional hiring process. They will message you to apply, and then when you do, they will ultimately ghost you. Even boasting about "striving for a transparent and efficient selection process" when all they do is probably get as much info from you as possible (including a video introduction of yourself), then run away with the information they got.
5th Sep 2023 (2 years ago)Amazingly bad service We rented a complete owned property for just over 2 years. In that time we had about 5 property managers. This should say all you need to know. Each one not knowing what had gone on before. Given the fact a week before we thought we were moving in we had to chase them to find out nothing had moved forward and they were waiting on us to send documentation (we were not told). Throughout the 2 years they were never really there to help you. After we have left they have tried to keep around 75% of our deposit which is absolutely insane. Missing furniture that never existed in the first place, the most expensive cleaning quote imaginable and £50 to remove a single chair. These are some of the excuses on the quote. Try and avoid complete properties when possible!!

2nd Jun 2026 (18 days ago)We met Tommy Chalker a few months ago. He was very helpful in allowing us to see a property 3 times when we were not in a position to make an offer. By the time we did have an offer on our own house we had found another property which we liked equally. We knew Tommy had worked hard in getting the GJ property reduced to a price we could afford so it was disappointing that we opted for the other property. He was always, polite, efficient and accommodating. Excellent service! Many thanks Tommy and Garton Jones.

Their response time is incredible (shoutout to James) and the move process was made so easy for me (shoutout to Alicia). I’ve had so many awful experiences with other London agencies but they really went above and beyond for me and ensured my renting process has been smooth-sailing and problem-free. Super pleased with their services!

They were always very helpful and made it easy for me living abroad as they resolved the tenants minor issues practically and helped me when there were bigger issues. As we moved from Germany to London for the first time, the process of searching for a home and completing all the necessary paperwork initially felt quite daunting. However, McMahon made the entire experience smooth and straightforward. Our agent, Serwan, conducted a detailed viewing via video call, shared all relevant information upfront, and guided us seamlessly through the contract process. We were particularly impressed with: 1) The thoroughness and professionalism of the paperwork and inventory check conducted by McMahon, which ensured fairness for both the landlord and the tenant. 2) The prompt resolution of minor issues in the property by Louise, the residential manager, who was highly responsive and efficient. Overall, we are extremely satisfied with both the property and the service provided by McMahon & Partners, and we would highly recommend them.

26th May 2026 (25 days ago)The office staff behaviour seem shambolic in my opinion. Lettings agent started ghosting me for weeks after putting my offer in and the receptionist didn’t put me through to the office manager to complain discretely as she wanted the flat address then hung up on me so all in all an embarrassing experience for me from a St John’s Wood estate agency in my opinion.

30th May 2026 (21 days ago)Believe the one star reviews and avoid this company. Just a cascade of lies and broken promises. Shutting branches early, promising then failing to call you. They cannot do the basics of customer management. Thank goodness I have not signed my sales contract yet and I can move it to a company that wants the business.
