5th Mar 2026 (4 weeks ago)Appalling handling of tenancy deposit — avoid We vacated our property at Masters Court, Harrow on 30 January 2026 in good condition, and over a month later we have still not received our deposit back. The handling of this entire process by Connells has been deeply disappointing. Despite sending multiple emails and attempting to call numerous times, we have received nothing but vague responses saying they are "still liaising with the former landlord." No clear timeline, no transparency, and no accountability. Phone calls have gone unanswered, and no direct contact number has been provided despite requests. The items flagged in the checkout report are standard fair wear and tear under TDS guidelines — minor wall marks, limescale build-up typical of Harrow's hard water, None of these justify withholding our deposit. To make matters worse, wife is 24 weeks pregnant, and the unnecessary financial stress caused by this prolonged delay has had a real impact on her mental health and wellbeing. This is completely unacceptable. We have now raised a formal dispute through the tenancy deposit scheme, which should never have been necessary. We have never experienced such poor deposit handling with any previous letting agency. If you are a prospective tenant — be warned. We would strongly recommend looking elsewhere.

It was a protracted process due to unexpected hurdles along the way, but Issam was always on the end of the phone and nothing was too much trouble. I would highly recommend them.

Mariam has been so incredible my parents sadly had water leak at residential property I need to find them alternative accommodation Mariam has stayed in touch until she found them the perfect place to rent. She kept me up to date from start to finish making this such a smooth process for my parents at such a difficult time and she is so polite and professional absolute asset to the company and I work for Lloyds banking group so recognition is so important when you have been given attention and service like this I would recommend Mariam and Charles Henry Peppiatt for helping find the ideal place but without Mariam being so efficient this would have not been so easy. I will definitely give her details to anyone I know looking for property.

Communication was clear throughout, and I always felt supported. They have excellent knowledge of the Ealing market, and their advice helped achieve a successful sale. I truly felt they went above and beyond to get the best outcome for me. I would highly recommend Hamptons to anyone buying or selling in Ealing – they are the best estate agents in the area. She was so helpful throughout the viewings we did, both being able to answer all our questions on the property and location, but also listening to our concerns and then making sure that subsequent viewings hit the mark. It made the whole process so easy and painless and made the experience so much better then anything we'd had before!

25th Mar 2026 (11 days ago)We instructed this agency to sell our home, but the relationship broke down very quickly due to how the negotiation process was handled. During discussions with a prospective buyer, a counter-offer was communicated in our name without our authorisation. We subsequently received written confirmation of this directly from the buyer. This unauthorised communication had a direct impact on our negotiating position. The price presented to the buyer was below the level we were willing to accept, which risked anchoring expectations negatively from the outset. The situation created confusion for the buyer, who then contacted us directly to clarify matters. At that point, it was clear that our position had not been accurately represented, and we took the decision to terminate the relationship and appoint a new agent. As a result, we incurred additional cost and disruption, including the need to re-market the property and commission new photography. We asked whether existing materials could be reused to mitigate this, but this was declined. We raised these issues formally, however they were not meaningfully addressed. The property has now been removed from their marketing and we have moved on, but we believe it is important to share this experience for transparency.

3rd Feb 2026 (9 weeks ago)AVOID AT ALL COST. All they want is completion and they will push you so hard it literally can ruin your normal life. And when you get the key after the endless pushing, you will be frustrated with this - a property not accounted for at all, different from what you’ve seen, and of course, this is after completion and they will say this is not their responsibility. This’s totally scam. Avoid unless you want to have bad, pushy and disappointing experiences when you are cheerfully buying your property.
