19th Aug 2026 (11 weeks ago)Had an overall good experience with Galloways. The team was friendly, responsive and supported me through each step of the process. Some pressure was applied towards the end but overall I was happy to be supported by a smaller team and local agency to West Norwood.

I was edgy at the start of the process but they reassured me and although the market was not right this time, they helped me assess and take decisions in the end
4th Oct 2026 (28 days ago)Extremely disappointing experience with Samuel Estates – Colliers Wood<br><br>I rented a property through Samuel Estates, with Jade as our property manager. At the beginning of the tenancy, she came across as very friendly and helpful. However, when it came to the termination of our tenancy, it became extremely difficult to get in touch with her. Calls were often answered by different members of staff, and getting a clear response or resolution became incredibly frustrating.<br><br>The property itself was in a very poor condition. We were paying a significant amount of rent for what was, in my experience, a substandard property, including issues with mice and holes in the flat. For the amount of money we were paying, the overall standard was simply unacceptable.<br><br>The biggest issue came at the end of the tenancy when there was a dispute over our deposit. The agency initially refused to return our deposit, and we had to take the matter through TDS (Tenancy Deposit Scheme) to fight for what we believed we were entitled to. We eventually managed to recover the deposit through the dispute process.<br><br>Overall, this was a very frustrating and disappointing experience. Based on my personal experience, I would strongly advise prospective tenants to do thorough research before renting through Samuel Estates, particularly regarding the condition of the property, communication during the tenancy, and how the deposit will be handled at the end.<br><br>I would not personally use this letting agency again.

He was punctual, professional, friendly and incredibly reassuring throughout the viewings. Junior took the time to explain the current market situation clearly and honestly, which I found extremely helpful. He was well prepared, supportive, understanding, and always happy to answer my questions. His knowledge, professionalism, and approachable manner really made a difference and made the whole experience much less stressful. Thank you, Junior, for all your help and support – it was truly appreciated!
19th Aug 2026 (11 weeks ago)Huge thanks to Banji, he was brilliant, genuinely helpful, and even stayed late past 5 PM so I could get my keys and not be left stranded. He is the sole reason this isn't a 1-star review.<br>The agency itself is completely disjointed. Communication between departments is a mess, emails and calls are routinely ignored, and their reliance on third-party agencies makes simple tasks needlessly complicated. Internal miscommunication delayed my agreed move-in date by five days, leaving me to figure things out entirely on my own.<br>The absurdity peaked on move-in day. I pointed out an error in the initial draft which was completely ignored, forcing me to flag the exact same mistake after the document had already gone out for signatures. They retracted the contract on the morning of my move, didn't re-issue it until 3:30 PM, and then expected me to rush down to collect keys before their 5:00 PM close.<br>?Banji deserves all the credit for customer service, but management desperately needs to fix their internal communication and workflow.<br>All in all, not bad but not good either.<br>All the best.

After the flat being on the market for 11 months with no success, Martin got us an offer that we were happy with.<br>Martin filtered his buyers so that only people interested in the property came and viewed it, he understood our needs for our next move and how to position the property to get the price we needed.<br>Communication was great throughout.<br>We’d highly recommend

Their sales strategy led to 7 offers in one WE, and it wasn’t an easy house to sell either as it had been lived in for 50+ years and had its share of clutter and zero maintenance. Justin supported all the way through the sales process, was always available to help, and personally visited to get documents signed. I can’t recommend them enough! Thank you

22nd Sep 2026 (6 weeks ago)Do not use! We were royally messed around and left homeless the day before move in due to a mistake from the agent. There was no acknowledgement of their wrongdoing or of the serious breach of the Renters Rights Act despite us having clear evidence. The agent had the audacity to suggest homeless shelters as a feasible solution after screwing us over, we were treated with a complete lack of professionalism and no accountability of their wrongdoings, instead pushing all the blame onto us. We also had to fight to get our deposit back which we needed to be able to find alternate accommodation, and the dispute process was a joke where yet again the blame was pushed onto us despite our clear evidence of their wrongdoing.
