I was lucky enough to work with Craig, who from the get-go was approachable and helpful - at the first property viewing he was clear and impartial without any hard sell. I never felt hurried or pressured, and Craig was happy to answer as many questions as I (and my parents) had at any time. I felt that I was in safe hands and could trust Craig's input and support. Throughout the process Craig was happy to go the extra mile to follow up with any parties if there was any delay and literally even drove a few miles out of his way to deliver the keys to the property on completion. WARNING...I rented from different estate agencies in the past few years (Belvoir , Romans, etc)..J&J is the ONLY agency I come across where if you dispute their deposit deduction charges at the end of the tenancy (obviously you normally do because it is unfair in my case), you will be charged £120 even if you win (basically means even if the charges are unfair). There is a deposit section in their "unique" tenancy contract specify if you dispute the proposed deposit charges and would like to refer the matter to arbitration (which is a free service) you will be charged £120 admin fees.... Tried to increase my rent by £300 pcm claiming it was a bargain when a property the exact same as mine a few doors down was recently let for £20 pcm less then what I was paying for at the time. The fees are ridiculous, £420 and then requested my boyfriend get the references himself, I said no way! We're paying that you can at least do some work! Renewal fees of £100 every year. Avoid them for renting, there are many agencies in Woking considerably cheaper. Frankly, they should be ashamed.... Read more

An immense disappointment to the estate industry both ethically and professionally. I purchased a property through the agency and I do not recommend it. The agent who handled my purchase was dishonest and deceitful. He worked 100% in the interest of the buyer. I would NOT recommend this lettings agency, it is not worth all the hassle and time. Terrible customer service. Agents were HIGHLY UNPROFESSIONAL. They were rude, disorganized and difficult to contact . When we wanted to return the keys no one was in the office and staff told us to mail the keys instead. The deposit was also only returned several MONTHS after moving out. Again, the agency was difficult to contact and made up ridiculous reasons as to why they could not return the deposit. I would opt for you to use more established agencies such as JLL, as they are definitely much more organized.... Read more

Avoid for tenants and landlords at all costs. Rented a property but the problems began when we moved it. Inventory was slap dash and clearly a copy and paste of an old inventory. Items that were no where to be seen were included along with basically everything listed as good condition despite things being clearly broken ( a headboard for a bed had a leg snapped off and apparently that passes as good condition). We went back and forward and asked for things to be updated and sent pictures and detailed notes through. They kept re-sending the exact same agreement with none of the changes. Eventually they stopped responding and we gave up in February (we moved in the previous November). Of course, at the end of the tenancy after professionally cleaning everything and leaving it in a better condition than we found it they wanted money for everything. Even asking for money for things that were not there when we moved in or listed as broken on the inventory report. We disputed the claim and on the grounds that we never signed an inventory report they got absolutely nothing. A warning for tenants to avoid but landlords to give these clowns a miss too. They are extremely unresponsive and unprofessional and whilst we did not damage the property or any contents, had we done so Regent would have been unable to recover any money to compensate the landlords. All because they couldn't reply to an email and get an inventory report updated that we could sign... Avoid!... Read more

We initially had a tough time on the property market trying to push through the sale of our house until we decided to switch to Laurels. Having met with Jordan, who was proactive and reassuring throughout the process we were convinced that we would be in better hands and the switch proved to be the right decision as we recently completed the sale. Jordan and the Laurels team were consistent and efficient, going above and beyond if we needed any help. We were so happy with the service that we chose to market our second property with Laurels. A thoroughly stressful and unpleasant experience using Laurels. Rob at Laurels repeatedly let us down whilst marketing our property, Was unresponsive, often not responding to calls or emails. We have some suspicions of being misled or worse, lied to, regarding offers received on our property. I should stress these are suspicions at this stage and investigations into this are ongoing. In our opinion, the poor service from Rob at Laurels cost us a perfect home to move into and almost lost the seller of this home thousands of pounds through loss of a deposit. My personal recommendation would be to save yourself the stress and hassle and go with agents with a long track record of excellent customer service. In Epsom, Cairds are a much better agent in my opinion and charge the same fees as Laurels, or Greenfields in the Surbiton area. Please don’t be misled by the notion that Laurels are much cheaper than well established High Street Agents are this certainly wasn’t the case in my experience. My advice, avoid.... Read more
