15th Mar 2024 (5 weeks ago)Cons : they only checked in after 12 weeks and once when we had a possible viewing. This felt quite poor over 26 weeks. I requested some replacement photos to use alongside a price drop to create some Interest. Advisor quite abrupt and unhappy at the request . Refused/strongly advised this was not necessary even though work had been done to improve the home since original photos taken . Communication was poor with very little contact over a 26 week period. Didn’t see home marketed via Facebook or email shots . Some of the Photos weren’t the best , make sure you really check them before you approve . Pros : Service was quick and effective at point of set up. Staff were otherwise polite and pleasant to deal with . Always returned calls when I rang . Board went up quickly and photographer was quick. Some of the photos were good. House did not sell or even have a viewing within 26 weeks which is unusual in a popular area.

13th Mar 2024 (5 weeks ago)I’ll recommend Trading Places to anyone looking out to rent or buy. My process renting was easier than I ever imagined. In few days, I got a place that’s 100% my taste. Clean and well maintained property. Big Thanks to Karen for efforts during the viewings & documentation process. Referencing was swift and easy via the Platform used. Viewing and moving in was less than 2 weeks. Shout out to Lauren for taking out time despite tight schedule for Day 1 briefing. No doubt my wife & I will have a sweet tenure in the apartment. Thanks to Trading Places.

28th Mar 2024 (22 days ago)I would prefer to have given them 0/5 had there been an option. Avoid like the plague! This firm is utterly appalling. I rented my property through them fully let and managed. I signed their contract, which they then failed to carry out and breached a number of terms and conditions, by not completing set tasks that they were paid to do. They caused me a huge financial loss because of numerous administrative errors, that a child would make. There is a real lack of care and attention to detail, they only care about themselves not their clients. They are dishonest and untrustworthy, cowboys in the trade. I would strongly advise you don’t use them, save yourself wasted time, effort and distress. I have complained to the Ombudsman about their behaviour and how they conduct their business, it is wholly unacceptable. Please use an alternative firm and save yourself the brother. We would definitely recommend her to anyone. She was a joy. Nichola in the office also gave us a five star service, very friendly and helpful, she made us feel special, I’m sure she does that for all her clients. Thank you to both .

We had a fair amount of veiwings then a sale was agreed. The staff were very helpful all the way through to the sale. I would highly reccomend them

Derek arrived and was friendly and did have a number of critical issues with the house, which we took on board and were happy to address. He visited me before 10am and told me that the house was 'Quirky' and he would pop back to their home office and call me with a price. He would have to think on it. 12noon came, 2pm came, 4pm came and then 6pm came and eventually at 6.30pm, I phoned to chase him up and he, in turn phoned me back at 8pm with a frank discussion about the house and said that this house in the street I am in would sell for £365,000 to £375,000 with a view to selling at £365,000. My house had undergone a number of renovations and my personal idea of £400,000 didn't run smoothly with him. I did find his approach to be unprofessional as I don't expect to have to wait and wait all day and then chase a valuation, to be made to feel like I was being a bother. I am paying them for a service .... they're not doing me a favour and so I went with another agency to test the water and accepted an offer which did sadly fall though. I changed agency and sold to the first viewing on the first day and this offer was £20,000 over what Derek expected to achieve for the house. Derek wasn't unpleasant, far from it but with valuing houses, showing people around homes (they don't allow you to show your own home) and all the admin, I felt like there was a priority pecking order with vendors and buyers each day. They seem to be running around all over the place, trying to please everyone. When valuing our house and wanting to put it on at a max of £375,000 he really was undervaluing our house, as we achieved more than that in a troublesome financial market. This is an honest appraisal, now that we've moved- 26th Nov 2022 (1 year ago)Quite possibly the worst estate agent I have had to deal with. There is not a single bit of care for the tenants and take no interest when problems occur. Communication is terrible, they are very hard to get a hold of and consistently ignore emails and calls and fail to return them.

They moved me into a flat with no working plumbing which they knew prior to the start date but neglected to tell me, they ignore emails and texts, their staff gaslight you, they turn up at your home unannounced sometimes letting themselves in and I don't think I've been treated this badly by a company ever. Do yourself a favour and deal with landlords directly. This company is not worth the premium you and the landlord have to pay and they cause more issues than they solve.

From the first meeting I was assured they shared my values of transparency and fairness and I was thrilled by the support I received. They worked doggedly, getting dozens of viewings for the property to ensure I reached the value I needed to achieve. At every point in the process, the communication has been exemplary. As a first time seller, I feel they really understood how to balance the personal and the professional. I cannot recommend them highly enough.
