3rd Feb 2026 (12 weeks ago)We rented a property in Chingford from 1 February 2026 through Claremont Estates. Zak and Mafiz acted as a great bridge between us, the landlord, and Goodlord. The entire end-to-end process was smooth, efficient, and well explained step by step. The property was professionally cleaned and met a high standard. Everything was handled properly, and we are very satisfied with the experience.
25th Apr 2026 (6 days ago)We had a poor experience of trying to buy a 3 bedroom terraced house in the South Park Gardens area with Ellisons Wimbledon from September 2025 to January 2026. After completing our first viewing with Amanda in September which was well managed, our second viewing was at 1pm with Mahul. He arrived at least 5 minutes late, then asked us several times to leave the property before 1:15pm with the next viewers standing outside. Whilst I know this is a successful high pressure sales tactic, it is disappointing to experience this when making such an important decision. When our offer was accepted, Ellisons told us to open a bottle of bubbly, celebrate and that the property was taken off the market. A day later Ellisons phoned stating another offer had been received and we should increase our offer. I recognise gazumping is allowed and a decision for the sellers but this seems to be condoned by Ellisons. The communication from Ellisons was very poor during conveyancing where we had to chase for almost everything. On 2 occasions Ellisons stated information from the seller had not been received because they had gone into my solicitor’s virus checker when in fact the information simply had not been sent. Ultimately, because of a serious conveyancing issue which was only revealed to us near the point of exchange we were forced to withdraw our offer. I feel Ellisons made the purchasing process extremely difficult and would not recommend them to anyone for buying/selling a property. We’ve had a much more positive experience with other Wimbledon estate agents since.

Lewis was always quick to respond to emails and kept me updated at every point of the process. Lewis went beyond in many ways - offering helpful recommendations and I felt fully supported throughout the whole process as a first-time buyer. I would definitely recommend John D Wood & Co.
25th Mar 2026 (5 weeks ago)My partner and I had 2 tenancies managed by Jade in Samuel Estates. Throughout those years, Jade has always been very patient with our queries and always speedy and productive with answers. She was also extremely helpful when our first tenancy ended unexpectedly when our Landlord wanted to sell. She found us a flat in the building next door and we got to move without any fuss at all. Saving what could have been a very stressful event. Very much appreciated all her help.

30th Apr 2026 (1 day ago)We had a great experience working with Tom Parsons during our house purchase at Fulham. Tom was acting for the seller and we had our own buying agent. He was a real pleasure to deal with throughout; he was transparent, cheerful and welcoming at viewings, keen to understand our needs and never overly pushy, which made us feel appreciated at what was an important decision for us. It look little time to land on the right property with Strutt and they have high quality stock. Highly recommended!!

7th Apr 2026 (24 days ago)Imagine being so unprofessional that you schedule a viewing, talk so highly about your agency and then be extremely lame enough to not show up for the viewing. I had the absolute displeasure to deal with James Setright who scheduled a viewing and then forgot to show up at 308, Garratt Lane address at the time of the viewing. My partner travelled an hour to reach the address and then viola, nobody shows up, I call up and James picks up and tells me that there’s nothing he could do and the best he could do is to schedule it for another day. Whilst being civil and acting like he cared, there was absolutely no other alternative offered. I just feel sorry for the seller here, since they should pick up someone more professional and reasonable to deal with. To anyone at John D Wood who’s the owner, it’s not only hard to schedule viewings and reach your staff but they are just incredibly bad to deal with and make basic errors that are just blasphemous for. The nature of the business.

9th Apr 2026 (22 days ago)I have just called this company to get a rough idea of how much a 2 bedroom property would cost in the West Norwood area to buy. I was told that they could not give me anything without a valuation. I said that it was only a rough idea that I required and asked why. The person who answered the phone stated that he did not know who I was. I was only asking a general question and nothing specific. I was really taken back with his answer and attitude. I called a couple of other agents, their answer was much more helpful. I have 2 properties in that area that I am thinking of selling and I will definitely not use Northwood West Norwood. I do not even want to give 1 star.

I've tried reaching out to you but you never answer left messages for Eric and Ezgi - UNPROFESSIONAL I understand you and some members where off sick but everytime I drove past your office I could see everyone in the office present and working just not answering my call or messages which makes it more unprofessional . I did CALL and try reach out to you and still no response i left whats app messages on two seperate occasions and two different people still no response so from my point of view I was certainly patient and went above and beyond to try get a response from you which never came until I left a review then the response came instantly My main purpose was to sell the property and whilst working with you I felt the only thing you wanted to do was rent my property out for short let's at rock bottom prices which I certainly said no too especially at the low ball figures you offered me( very low figures borderline disturbing) I'm glad I got my property sold with another agent I believe being honest and transparent is very important in this field which I believe in my opinion I didn't receive from you as an agent We all make mistakes if you owned the mistake and apolisged for ignoring me then we could have resolved this Instanly but to say people where sick when I could see them working in the office has certainly left me disappointed in my humble opinion

Our house sale and purchase with them went very smoothly and was even enjoyable. There is a very family-like atmosphere in the office, and it truly felt like we were dealing with good friends who were always on our side. Their support and communication throughout the process were excellent. We can’t recommend them highly enough. Thank you for all your help, Richard, Paul, Sophie, and the entire Folklands team. Selling my mother's home was always going to be an emotional process, and Jacob at Orchid Estate Agents handled every aspect of it with genuine care and professionalism. Throughout the entire process, his communication was exemplary. We were kept informed at every stage, never left wondering what was happening, and always felt like a priority. He achieved a fantastic price, moved things along at impressive speed, and did it all with a calm, reassuring manner. If you're looking for an agent who combines real expertise with genuine human warmth, Jacob is exactly that. We wouldn't hesitate to use Orchid again.

They were professional, the person who came round first had really done his research which was impressive, the conversation was thought provoking, they had a great photographer, the agents were nice people. And we received an offer in an unbelievably short time. Impressive all round. Would highly recommend.
